"And why do you hate people?" Loralei asked, somewhat curious. She was intrigued by the mystery that both Alucard's presented, and she wanted to figure out the puzzle. Guess that means I won't be going home anytime soon...

Loralei grinned and said, "You don't even know the half of it..." She thought back to the smaller Alucard and laughed lightly. "When you're tiny Alucard, you don't even know what a bathtub is. Or hygiene. Or anything else for that matter. So... that's why I promised I'd take care of him..." Loralei sighed. "He was so... uneducated about the world." Loralei chose her words carefully, so as not to annoy the older Alucard. "It seemed like he needed someone to take care of him."

"That's how I was. I was a little slow at learning things that normal children were already aware of. However, I learned about the bad aspects of this world faster than most people..after that time.." Alucard sentence trailed off, "I..I mean the younger me is fully capable of taking care of himself. He doesn't need anyone.."

Loralei looked at Alucard with narrowed eyes. "Don't lie. You know little Alucard needs someone to take care of him. He isn't like you. He isn't able to completely function on his own and don't act like he is." Loralei sighed and shook her head. "You claim that he doesn't need anyone, but are you sure that you're own selfish impulses aren't overshadowing his needs?"

"Pft..I survived well enough on my own as a child. If he is exactly like I was back then, then he is fine without you," Alucard glared at Loralei, "And if he does stay with you, then most likely history will just repeat itself..you wouldn't want him to grow up into someone like me, now would you?"

Loralei looked to Alucard with a raised eyebrow. "From the way I look at it, he may never grow up. It seems as if you two are cursed to be living a double-life." Loralei frowned. "Either way, no, I wouldn't want Little Alucard to grow up into someone like you. But I think that what he really needs is someone to care for him, take care of him, instead of people just shunning him for what he is and trying to destroy him. He has to realize that there are good people in the world. If he only sees the bad, then he will grow up to be like you..."

"How do you think I learned about the bad? It was because I stayed around people for too long..." Alucard felt like he was losing the argument. He was annoyed at how Loralei persisted in trying to convince him to let his younger self stay with her. His right hand blackened and his fingers extended into longer, dagger-like claws, "You simply just don't understand.."
Alucard's eyes widened when he noticed that the dark mass continued its way up his arm. It happened too quickly for him to react properly to it. In a few seconds, he had returned to being the younger Alucard, who fell to the ground unconscious.

Loralei gasped and ran to Alucard's side. "Come on, Alucard wake up..." she whispered to the inert boy. "Come on, I know you can do it..."
She picked him up in her arms and unfurled her wings. Big Alucard may hate me... but I'm taking the little one back home.

"No sweetheart... it's hard to explain." Loralei began. "I won't get into it now."
Her wings were beating furiously, trying to get back to the house as quickly as possible. "We're almost back at my place, so be careful. I don't want to drop you."
Finally, Loralei saw her home and she swooped down to meet it. "We're back." she sighed gratefully.

((that one. basically there was 100% chance of attacking an innocent person. his triggers are based more off of the things he does rather than his emotions.))
All the way during the trip, Alucard clung to her, "You know...I had one of those weird dreams again...and you were in it. Weirdness.."
