"Death is the one thing that never has trouble to use me as it tool," Troden replied after a moment as he looked back at her, "I am here for to free my fellows alies and those who will listen from those who wish to take away the little freedom they have within this world. Namely the Ten and those who follow them so foolishly. A war started when they left and it is only inevitable that it will happen again, making death necessary."
His dark eyes narrowed only slightly as he spoke those words, the sadness evident in his voice, "Come sister, we must go now. I will explain more as time goes on. Salen, begin your mission now." With a wave of his hand, the black fire from before surrounded both dragons and sent them to the headquarters of his new ally, the Lady of Lorindel.
The red eyes of the vampiric elf fell over Troden and Daystar quietly before moving over to Nira, "Please give my guests whatever they need. I believe they'll be here for a while."

She didn't have time to respond or to say goodbye to Salen before Troden whisked her away. She blinked her senses spreading out immediately, washing over everyone in the room and making the air feel staticky. Realizing what was happening she drew everything back to herself, using the natural sounds most people make, to create an image of the room they now stood in. She turned her head fully to look up at the dominating figure of the room. Her hand tightened on Troden's arm but she said nothing.

Dorien watched them both as they spoke and narrowed his gaze,
"He's never cared for either one of us when we were part of him, so why would it make a difference now?" Tyran replied quietly, the white clothes he wore slowly turning black, "We're nothing but creations that can be easily discarded. Nothing more and nothing less right father?"
The elf watched his son's small breakdown behind a mask of silence for only a few moments before moving to where Kari had stood, She is an elf, even if she is possesed. For that reason, along with my blood in her veins, the mere thought of a spirit controlling her body will cause her to fight that being sooner or later, but her darkness will only drag her deeper into the other's clutches.
I spoke in such a way to make that fighting spirit stay dormant for a little longer so that being wouldn't bother snuffing it out. The longer she does not resist, the better chances my own spiritual powers will be able to reach her before Tyran, in his foolishness, finds the other's body.
He looked at his son in disgust, You say I never cared for either one of you? No, I never cared for you. Kari, even in her madness was more my offspring than you; you, the one who would so willingly allow that thing to use your body as it tool to find its own. And for what? So you could save Kari? Ha! You can't save yourself!
As Dorien spoke, Tyran continued to look down, his dark locks covering his face until finally with an enraged growl he summoned his blades , only to have them locked by Dorien's own, I know your moves before you make them boy. Go back to the arms of your lover and stay out of my way, or next time I will severe our blood bond with a single stroke of these very blades. He then sent Tyran to the ground, disappearing soon after.
Tyran slowly sat up, hit the ground, his shoulder's heaving with held back anger and tears, "Damnit father...Damn you Dorien!" his voice was filled with such hate and yet the pain overshadowed all.
[Holy crap, that was painful to type....] --
Salen watched as they disappeared in silence, his stance rigid until the warmth of the fire faded from his skin.
Salen, begin your mission now...
The most grim of smiles crossed his face as he moved out of the Rajen base, "He already has plans for you Daystar, I just hope you figure that out before it is too late..."
With that he faded away, reappearing infront the building that was once the Lotus base. The Moneko's shield had long since been taken off when the Soul Transfer Unit was created, and with the human eye now being forced to look at the supernatural creatures who live among them, there was no need to conceal any building anymore.
Lina stiffed and turned as Salen walked inside, her eyes wide as he placed his sheathed sword upon the ground and bowed low, "Although I am unworthy, I speak to you as a fellow warrior who wishes to make amends. Please allow me to fight at your side once again to help save the lives of the people I once wished to destroy."

A moment later darkness pooled on either side of Lina before raising up and forming into two of Merlin's armed shadowcats. They stayed in a crouch, weapons out and ready to work, their gazes focused unflinchingly on Salen, the percieved threat. ~~~ Goldie couldn't believe it. She stared at them both and resisted the urge to sock them, "What the hell is wrong with you? He's your kid, whether you like it or not. I smell Magnolia's blood in him, which means she pushed him out of her, which means you had to get busy with her to get him into the world! He's more than just some creation of yours this time around, Big Daddy! God, you both are so slow!" She rolled red tinted eyes.
Amadeus sighed, Goldie, tactless as ever. Even so, "Doesn't look like you've quite figured out what family is, Dorien." He murmered, "Family are the only one you can trust, they protect each other at all costs."
Goldie's hand flashed out and she grabbed Tyran's ear and hauled him close, "Snap out of it. I need you lucid, not jacked up on emotions." She murmered into his ear, her warm breath tickling on his jaw just below his ear, "Lock it all away in a box for now. We'll deal with it later, but I need you to do this for me, love."

(( I am SO sorry that I haven't been online! A Promotion at work, coupled with a whole bunch of other stressful things in life has had me really rundown, and so I'm having a hard time keeping up with anything I'm obligated to. Patience with your dear Captain? Please? *chibi-begging face* ))
"Your father and Malen?" Quinn asked, simply double checking for the sake of memory, "It shouldn't be a problem at all. I've met them both before, and with the extra help I'm sure I could easily convince them both to come quietly. It shouldn't take me more than a few hours."
Without so much as another word Quinn turned to Mira and Stefan, both of which greeted him with a kind smile. He nodded, and the two closed their eyes and bowed their heads. With that done, Quinn began to chant a spell of his own design, a group Teleportation Spell. A glowing, silver circle surrounded the three Siddels, a pattern tracing itself inside, and then it disappeared with a muffled bang. Taking, of course, those inside along for the ride.
In the desert, the Spell Gate appeared much the same fashion as it had in Signet. The circle first, with traced gates on the inside for the three riders. Three separate blasts, each one kicking up a different cloud of dust, signaled the arrival of Quinn, Mira, and Stefan.
Now the only trick was finding Rike and Malen.

Karrot marched around town, bumping into people all over and ignoring their expletives. Where is everyone... why doesn't anyone ever remember to include me? I can be just as useful if not more than some of these... Humans. but do they care? No!...Damn, I need a drink. Karrot then turned and began to travel in the direction of the Nocturne, one of the few places he could still get good genuine Dwarven brews in this ignorant world. --------------------------------
Two strange people wandered the streets of Signet.... "What is wrong, my lady?" "He's here... they're here, somewhere." "But that is good, why do you have such a sour face?" "Because.... My idiot brother is with one of the Ancient ones... and he's done something rather stupid, there's another Ancient one in this time period." "I see. Where shall we go first my lady? "For a drink. I feel that we shall meet one of the ancients at one such establishment."

Tyran looked ahead, swallowing hard as Goldie spoke. She was right of course, but locking emotions away was far easier said than done. His pain was not just within these mere eighteen years of his natural life, but before that when he was an actual vessel for the elvan leader. Dorien treated him and Kari far worse now than he ever did before, and all because they were his blood children now and not beings of power. How do you lock up feelings that have lasted that long?
Somehow he did it, but the emotion was still in his eyes as he nodded, "I...I'm sorry...I have Dorien's temper.." he murmured.
-----
"Hmm?" Rie blinked as he looked up from his reports, a confused expression on his face, but all he saw was his daughter preparing to head out, "Did you hear something?"
Malen paused in her work before continuing to reload her revolvers, "I didn't hear anything other than the constant spellwork needed to be done all over the city. Kaiser's spell is still fading away fast."
Rike sighed and looked back at the reports, "I know and I haven't been able to find a good enough spell to replace that one...but then I'm not ery good with earth-based spells."
"...And we aren't going to ask Lord Emit or even that dwarf you know why?"
Rike gared at her before saying, "Karrot's probably on the quest to help the Ten and Emit is trying to stay alive. Any other smart questions you want to ask?"
Malen rolled her eyes before moving towards the door, "I'm going on patrol. Maybe then I won't hear your whining..."
"Malen...get out."

Xavier stepped out onto the cold streets and looked around, deserted as always save for the scattered homeless that dotted tha alleyways and doors leading up to Lower Town. He turned his back to the streets and locked the street door to his offices, pocketing the key and heading toward his second job; looking after the kids in Lower Town.
Lower Town. It had been his idea from the start, originally a safe haven for the humans and now extended the friendlier races like the elves and dwarfs. He couldn't forget how it had been a combination of elven magic and medicine that had saved his life all those years ago, or that how the Prosthetic limb and organ enhancements had been donated by a dwarf as thanks for what he did.

Karrot stopped for just a moment. What was that he just saw? or Who? that child looked... Dwarven.... No, it must have been his mind playing tricks on him. Where was he? he'd lost his place. Oh well, there was a pub nearby. Not the Nocturne, but... something told him to go in.
--------------------------------------
"Really? Here?" "Yes, a few anyway. In no way a large village. Your kind and mine." "Living together with no disputes?" "Well I can't say that, but in the same part of town. We'll need to visit." The Female seemed to zone out for a moment when the male in dark blue caught her attention. "My Lady? What do you see?" "He's here. He found this place... The younger brother." "Shall we approach him?" "No, let him get settled in. Then we'll buy him a drink, we'll see if he'll talk to us. he needs to know who we are, and he's less likely to ask too many questions."

((Oh wow its been way too long.))
Remus found himself trying to grin and grimace at the same time. "Both of them here again. As long as Malen doesn't threaten to take off my hand again, and no more third degree from Rike and it should be good." He gave a second thought at his son's demeanor. "Then again there are new factors to be introduced..."
----
I hate packing... Fenrir shoved the last thing he'd need for travel away with a little extra ferocity. He badly wanted only to kill off his half brother. He allowed himself a little smile. He moved to a shelf and carefully lifted to a phial of a green liquid. He'd paid an arm and a leg for this stuff... almost liteally. He wasn't going to finish second in the next tangle...
----
As Malen left the room, something flared. A short power moved through the sigils like a wind felt only by those who knew of its existance. For one split second, the swords now hanging by Rike's waste burned as though in response to a call. Want and Ignorance had felt their first master...

Seven regarded Quinn, Stefan, and Mira curiously as they appeared relatively near to where she had been experimenting on whether or not she could convince a warrior that his sword was haunted and she was the physical incarnation of the spirit contained within. She hadn't been given anything else to do, and had been known to do worse when bored.
Her head tilted to the side as she felt the faint vibrations of tripped wards, as well as several other brands of magic. This could be fun...

Fenrir shouldered his pack and stepped out onto the street. He was already in hybrid form. The phial from before sat safely nestled in the fur around his neck. He grinned at what it could do. He'd seen the potency of it first hand. He'd seen the pain on the victim's face and couldn't wait to see it in action again.
Slowly he stopped himself from his own thoughts of revenge. He knew the dangers of distraction.

Xavier flexed his artificial muscles as he walked down the deserted road, absentmindedly stroking the prosthetic as he went. "Phantom Limb Syndrome" was what the official medical term for it was; a psychological phenomenon where one could still feel an amputated limb or removed organ. In Xavier's case it was conflicting, the artifical nerves in the limb combining with the phantom ones to give the experience for two arms in the same space. Even after half a century it had not past, and it was every bit as annoying as it was the first time.
He gave a sigh and shook his head, shrugging his shoulders and marching on towards Lower Town. He looked up to see the familiar skyline of interlinking buildings and walkways, a web of corridors and platforms allowing the guards to safely engage anyone or anything who threatened the peace from up high. It was one of the few advantages the human sentries had over the vampires that tried their luck with occasional raids, and it was an advantage that had allowed them to repel a large number of raids without anyone being killed or turned.

((So sorry. I get the feeling that at least one, possibly two of you, were waiting on me. My bad... ))
"The question is... Where do we even begin looking?" Stefan asked incredulously, "We're in a desert for crying out loud. There's nothing here but rolling sands!"
Mira took her husband's hand and guided him toward the nearest hill. She laughed a little before saying, "Can't you feel the magic running through this place, dear one? That is where we begin. We can do that, or catch the one watching us. I imagine she knows where we ought to be going to find Rike."
Mira was intentionally loud enough for Seven to hear her when she mentioned Rike's name, but for nothing else. If she could possibly get Seven's attention and interest, then perhaps they could convince her to help them. If not, there were other ways to find Rike and Malen. It would simply take more time.
Quinn, on the other hand, was rather frustrated. There was too much magic in the air, too new magic. It was disrupting his balance and ability to function, making it difficult to focus. There were layers of wards and magical alarms all over the hills, as well as something much more powerful that he simply couldn't find.
"Damn..." He swore under his breath, "Suddenly being a Balancer isn't as much fun. You can definitely feel a lot more of what's there..."
The ten year old dropped to one knee, taking a moment to catch his breath. Catching up to his sister wouldn't be hard. That wasn't a concern. His only concern was getting his head back on straight.

Her warrior had wandered off when her attention had been diverted she noted with some dismay. Seven shifted to a white hare, and bypassed Mira and Stefan entirely. They had tripped the wards. Whether or not they really wanted to see Rike, they would eventually. That woman had hinted that was their goal, and by no mean was Seven going to streamline the process on simple request.
She practically danced over the sands to where Quinn had dropped to his knee and sat quite pointedly three feet in front of him. Youngest of the three, clearly having a difficult time...this showed some promise. Her ears twitched in delight.
