Zahara nodded, then folded her arms. "Very well. You understand why you're being punished, right Mykorian?" It was important to Zahara's method of parenting that the child understand what he had done wrong so he could avoid mistakes in the future or realize the same pentalty would be wrought. "Then you need to go to your room and stay there until I tell you it's alright for you to come out. You won't miss a meal but there won't be any fun for you either. Once you've taken some time to yourself, I'll tell you what the rest of your punishment is." Lightly resting a hand on the boy's back and giving him a push. "Come on." Thus up the stairs with them.
Yup, she was in trouble. If she wasn't her father would have put his arm around her and cuddled her when he saw her tears. Instead he'd scolded and sent her off. Cue the bursting into real tears and running from the room, a sorrowful 'I'm sorry' thrown back.
Kelligrin blinked as his other sister left and looked up at his father, big red eyes mirroring his sire's. "Daddy?" Upset noise. "Kelli tell. Daddy no be sad."

Malik frowned at her, before moving away and out the door, going to his oldest son's recovery room, and pulling up a seat.
"You fought the good fight, Malikhai. But some fights are not meant to be ended in such a manner. Your grandfather did manage to get a compromise, and it's not one that I expect you to enjoy, and I know your mother hates it. Rainmare, and myself are going to battle."
pausing a moment, but giving that look that meant be quiet.
"on his honor he has claimed that he will not kill me. your grandfather convinced him at least that killing me would bode ill for the rest of the plane. wether or not that old arragement holds true still is another matter, but it worked none the less. Kieran or Lark will be watching over you and your brother, depending on if Kieran wants to see this or not."
Malik got up, mussing both boys hair.
"I am proud of what you did, but this was not your fight. and it's my fault for not pulling you out of the situation before you got hurt like this. But now it's my turn to finish what you started in my stead. You protected your family. and now it's my turn to protect you."

Galesen then kept quiet as Zahara and Mykorian spoke among each other, just taking sip of his drink until Piper showed up. Blinking a few times he looked at her for a moment until he grabbed his drink and got up. The others had left and now there was nothing to do. So he wandered over to the window close to Piper and leaned forward watching the people pass outside for a moment. "So, the day seems to be well doesn't it?" He got an odd vibe from Piper, she wasn't her cheery self like she always is. But he couldn't drag it out in the open, seems that whatever was going on he was kept out of the loop for some reason.

"Because I lied about where I was and was in a place I shouldn't be without permission from adults." Because he knew exactly why he was in this problem. So then with a sigh he turned on his bootheel and headed to the room that was now officially is. Setting his pack in the corner he merely went and sat on the bed to wait.
Yup, two for two. He was doing just great....he hated it when they cried and when he was the bad guy. But children didn't learn unless you taught them and if you let them slip on everything they would never learn anything. Sevilin gave a sigh and shook his head, turning his attention down to his son in his arms. "Don't worry I'm sure soon as you're old enough you'll do it too. Then I can be the bad guy to all four of you." Blinking at the child, as he seemed to grasp and yet not grasp the situation. "Don't be upset. What would you tell me to not be sad?"
He had been basically watching his brother as he tried to show him something or other with hsi own disgarded bandana. "You're going to put a knot in it that won't come out..." Shaking his head but his attention moving up to his father as he stopped by....in armor. That was not a good sign at all. A motion to hush his brother as the little elf quieted. He opened his mouth to protest, but shut it the moment he got that look. He supposed that knowing his father's life was no longer the objective made him feel a tad better. So in the end, he merely nodded and have his father a light smile. "Alright...you do what's best. But dad...give mom a break. Rocks turned into boulders a long time ago...least you can do if you get hurt is get a quick heal, or at least take it easy instead of trying to be up all the time like you like to do."
Triple colored eyes moved to Galesen, who was in an ignorantly blissful mood. "Depends on one's personal opinion if you think it is well. Your day may be so, but mine is much less so." Tapping her fingers on the nearest surface as she waited for her husband.

Galesen looked over to Piper, his eyes meeting with hers. "I guess so." But he paused for a moment as he watched her for a moment. "Why is that so Piper?" Was he trying to get to know what was going on? A little, but he was in worried mode for Piper, Malik and their son. Malikhai took a real beating out there in the arena and that elf bothered him. Even though he wasn't a part of the family Galesen was still under Malik's name and after all the time he spent with them he has grown to see them as another family to a point even after all that has happened to him. So yes he did worry for them, he couldn't help it.

"I think the answer to that question is quite obvious Galesen, if you're going to ask questions, pick better ones." Shaking her head, after all it all was indeed quite obvious. "My son is hurt, my husband's past finally caught up to him, I want to go home, and not even my home is safe when I get back there because I have to deal with horse theives, or rahter people who pretend to be horse theives."

"Well it's always better to talk about things than to keep them in Piper." He knew it was obvious, he just wanted to get her talking. "Hopefully this will be all over soon, as for the 'horse thieves' well they'll get what's coming to them." A small smile about that before he looked at Piper again. "Alright here is a better question, what is going on with Malik? I asked him what was happening and neither he or Kieran wanted to tell me. It has affected you more, I mean you were upset yesterday but today...I don't see the Piper I usually see, the Piper who is always cheerful." Again that's why he was worried, she was being affected by this a lot. First her horses, then her son and now her husband; seemed like it was coming in full circle around her.

He was listening but not really looking as if he comprehended a lot of it. He didn't say anything to the first part but took on the thinking look at his father's question. Finally, Kelligrin turned in his father's lap and studied him for a moment then patted his cheek. "I love you."
Zahara left the boy alone on his bed, wondering just what she was going to do. Her own kids would be given chores which really should be what she should do. Was Mykorian going to be alright with that though? And did she have enough to keep him busy so that he really might learn something? Stepping into her room, she sat down next to Sevilin and flopped back. "How'd it go? Get Faate all settled?"

"But if I were to get a quick healing or the like, Zahara wouldn't get the enjoyment of forcing me otherwise."
but he got up, and gave a nod to his oldest, and undoing the knot in the bandana of the youngest before it became a tangled unfixable by him mess.
"If I see Kaelin I'll send her your way as well."
before he left the room, and started on his way downstairs. Kieran and Lark would probably already be arranged to deal with who was staying who might be going to this little event.

And it was simple as that for the child wasn't it? He merely patted him on the back with a light sigh. "I love you too." Sometimes he wished everything was that simple, but no it wasn't happening for him today. But his attention turned to his wife as she plopped down. "Settled is hardly the word. I managed to make them both flee in complete tears and I don't feel good about it."
A look up to Malik as he came down the stairs and she pushed off the wall she was leaning on. "Ready to go then?"

Zahara nodded sympathetically and sat up, moving behind her husband and lightly moving her fingers along his neck and lower back. "I know it's hard to discipline them but sometimes we have to." Pausing a moment and then shaking her head, "And sometimes we have to discipline other people's children as well. Faate's merely being stubborn because she sees something in him that we don't. Lyssie..." Then a frown, "Why did Lyssie cry?"

"Ready as I imagine I can get, Chev."
before taking a small look around, and glancing at her outfit.
"You look good."
before giving a nod to Galesen and stepping out into the crowd and toward the main arena.
"If we see Kaelin, I told Malikhai I'd send her his way."
Rainmare was standing in the arena already, sword point in the ground, head down, waiting. around him the air shimmered with magical power, preperations for the coming storm.
when it was quite obvious that Malik was taking his time getting there, he grew slightly impatient, summoning over one of the officials and demanding someone be sent to find out the whereabouts of his opponent.

"Yes I know, but being the bad guy isn't pleasant." Shaking his head lighly and patting his son on the back as Zahara took to those soothing motions she liked to manipulate his mood with. Perhaps one thing that he didn't mind too much there. "Because Lyssie knew what Faate was doing and she didn't tell. So that means she's in trouble too because she knows better than to let her sister bully her. So now she's upset. I'm not winning today."
"Always did enjoy being the brightest thing in the underdark." Nostalgic apperances were good for ones self too. Piper tugged at her gloves, taking to following after him. It was such an odd casual pace for the place and purpose they were going, but perhaps that was a good thing as well. "I'm sure she'll be stopping by today. She seemed worried about him still last night." Casual conversation to go with a casual walk. Fitting.

Okay, he hadn't caught it. She'd been uncertain if he would since he was more focused on his own children at the moment. "Ah, that's true. If she knew and she didn't tell then she's just as much at fault if something went wrong or happened. I don't like to encourage them to tell on each other but they're supposed to look out for each other." Lightly kneading the muscles around his hip area. "I have to think up a punishment for Mykorian. Any ideas?"
Kaelin was sitting in the stands, idly staring off into space. The events that had taken place earlier that day were still fresh in her mind and she wondered once again why her life went the way it always managed to. It seemed like things tended towards one extreme or the other. Her mother was either really pleased or really pissed. It was hard being tossed all around the spectrum and she was really getting sick and tired of it. Her big mouth tended to get her into trouble too.
Shaking her head, she glanced up and saw the surface elf impatiently tapping his sword against the ground. What was he doing? Was he waiting to fight someone? She remembered him from other aspects of the tournament, most vividly his massacring of Malikhai in the ring and desire to fight Lord D'vinn. Her mom wouldn't be around until far later anyway. This morning had really taken it out of her...Kaelin figured she probably should care, but she just couldn't bring herself to. Glancing over, she saw Malik and Piper walking towards the arena and vacated quite rapidly. She didn't want Malikhai's parents seeing her right now and that meant that he was free. Should she even go see him? Maybe he was getting tired of her bothering him...?
It took her a good five minutes to finally make up her mind, during which time she wandered around the fair grounds until finally made her way to the inn where she knew he was staying. Getting a small breakfast tray, she climbed the stairs and knocked on his door lightly. "Malikhai? Are you awake?"

They arrived not too long at the arena, adn he looked over at his wife, giving her a hug.
"Well, keep an eye out though just in case. with any luck maybe we'll find her with her mother. I'd be interested in meeting that woman as well just to see the family this girl comes from."
though a kiss for her as well.
"Everything will be fine. if Kieran's up there in the stands, take a seat by him. if not, sit where you want to. just remember that this is between me and him here. no throwing knives or runes and arrows, okay?"
a small smirk.
"Trust me, he'll get what's coming to him."
He left her then, walking out into the arena, drawing his sword and holding it up on his shoulder.
"Waiting long?"
Rainmare looked up, keeping his sword as it was.
"You are as arrogant as you ever were then. You knew this was coming, and yet you kept me waiting. did you think I'd just give up and go home?"
his eyes watching Malik with a cold, righteous anger behind them.
"One could always hope. but I had other things to tend to. like my battered and bruised son, remember?"
"I told him to stay down. he refused. he still apparently has some honor in him, something I'm sure you'll squeeze out in due time."
"Since you've been waiting, why don't we begin."
"Indeed."
