Kibo: Quite honestly, I have never had French cuisine. Or if I have, I don't remember it. Although I've heard some good things about the escargot.
He pronounced the "T."

Sunny giggled, but chose not to correct him. "Well... we could share a plate of rattatouie with some wine..." she suggested. "My mother was always making me try exotic foods as a child so I'd never spit out anything served at state dinners... Or in prison if I followed father's lead. She was convinced if I tried a food once I'd be prepared for it the next time I had it. Took me years before I learned what half of the stuff I was eating really was. I locked myself in my room when veal was explained" she chuckled.

Kibo licked his lips at the mention of veal.
Kibo: Ratatouille? It doesn't have rats in it, does it? Because if you're getting your rats from Tortuga, you're begging for a severely upset stomach...

Sunny laughed some more before shaking her head 'no'. "No, though it does have pretty much everything else... It's a farmer's dish made up of spring vegetables. Usually in different provinces there are different ingredients but the best is served with escargot and eggplant" she explained.

Kibo: Eggplant? I'm sorry, I grew up as a carnivore. But I'll try it. I mean, it's not like I'll spit it out and refuse to eat it...

"Hey, escargot is a meat... Sort of..." she offered diplomatically as the waiter approached. She placed their order, even asking their server to pick the wine for them that would best compliment the meal, and turned back to her date. "A carnivore, then? How peculiar..." she mused, thinking back to her preference for vegetarian dishes for the most part.

Kibo grins, showing teeth more developed to tear flesh than crunch veggies.
Kibo: Sort of? Good God, what is it?

"You don't know?" she asked, looking like the cat that ate the canary. "Oh well I'll let you try it before I tell you then!" she chirped with excitement.

He puts two fingers on her lips to keep her from throwing back a witty retort.

((What fancy name did they give it? I already know never to try escargot, headcheese, or haggis. Any other foods I should stay away from?))
