In addition, I'm sure the amount of, or I suppose absence of light, and the amount of light being pointed at the manipulated shadow plays a factor.
So, a person with a small candle in a room with no windows and a closed door wouldn't stand a chance; or probably even if there was only a half of the room dark.
I wonder if that all makes sense....

Besides, a flashlight would not work for the case described, you would need a larger light.

For the way I described; making the energy shadow-like would probably only help in the intimidation area.
It's not really practical in anyway unless you wanted to scare someone; which is almost impossible to do to most characters on Gaia.

Well like I said, there is another way to think about it. If you say that you have control over solid particals that absorb light, you would be able to manuitpulate something that looks like a shadow, but would also be able to cause pysical damage.

Hence I will stay away from throwing shadows at people, and say that it makes them bleed.
It's just... something I couldn't bring myself to do.
Edit. Manipulate the particles that absorb light... you mean like every solid in EXISTENCE THAT HAS COLOR OR IS BLACK?! OMG-- You'd be..
So overpowered, it'd be lame.

I have a shadow user, but it is only an illusion that prevents the target from seeing anything while the spell is in effect. The spell is simple to counter and it is not even real darkness it is an effect on the mind.
