She laughed softly and gently took her medal back from her brother, ready to hand it back if he put up a fuss. "I wanted to but you locked them down for me so I couldn't. Which was probably a good thing since there were a few times when I would have used them to get me out of a sticky situation." She flexed her ankle and winced. "It hurts but I'll be okay. I think..." Glancing up at him hopefully. "There's not a rune that can fix a sprain is there?"

"I don't think a higher tier is a good idea, kiddo. You took some harsh blows and now you need to sit back and regain your strength." She handed him his medal, gently settling it back around his neck. "I'm going to put that arm in a sling so you don't move it around too much. If it starts causing you more pain, come back and see me and I'll see what I can do." Thus fashioning one and carefully placing his arm inside. "Anything else?"

"And by not using them you proved that your were just fine with your own base magics that you've learned. I'd say good how for quick adaptation between normal syles." Giving her a grin then. "Yes, actually there is. Intrinsic energies after all, most useful for healing such things external magical manipulation can't." Thusly crouching down, and a scribed rune to her ankle before another to her forehead to let her own resurface, "Try not to throw up at the feeling."

"I suppose I'll just have to." Maybe there was a less strenuous tournament activity that he could win at...or run the risk of placing gambles. A few unpleasant faces as she moved his arm about and settled it in a sling. Another nod to him as she offered up her services if he further needed them. "Thanks again...but I'm good." Getting himself up and giving her somewhat of a nod and smile before he started to limp off, though forgetting his weapons where he sat. Now to find someone to sell this medal to so he could have some coin.

"Well yes, that too. But you have to compliment me, Daddy. It's your job." Giving him a giggle before she set her brother on the bench and jumped up throwing her arms around him....which in turn made her queasy and she dropped her head against his chest. "Whoa..."

Boys were so adorable when they were pulling their 'I can handle it' acts. As a mom she'd seen it more times than she could count with Zykariel and Malikhai as well. She watched him limp off and made a mental note to check on him later. Healing was always taken seriously by her even if her patient didn't give the same consideration. Heading over to her family, she lifted her baby before he fell back off the bench and kissed his cheek. "Wonderful job, Faate. Your opponent speaks very highly of you as well.

A black hand reached out and grabbed the other by the sling pulling him off to the side. He was bigger and looked older to. "I heard you were lookin' to sell your little trophy. How much do you want for it?" Crossing his arms and gesturing to two others standing sentinel nearby. he hadn't decided if he was going to actually pay for it or just beat the kid bloody and steal it.

He held in a scream that wanted to leave his throat at the tugging, his poor arm being put in even more pain that even nasty potions couldn't dull the pain of. A nod though as he composed himself, "Was...I don't have much need for gold trinkets." It was hard to sell gold, seeing as it didn't hold the value of steel down here in Labyrinth...which meant he couldn't ask for too much for it, but he wasn't looking for too much either...just enough to get by. But from the looks of this...he was in trouble here regardless...damn it. "Seventy five."

"Yes yes, dispenser of complients and dirt old knowledge that you won't listen to anyway, I know." Giving her a smile and supporting her for the moment as she felt the effects of the energy rush from getting all that internal energy back. "Told you." But his look turned to his wife as she came over and took hold of their youngest. "He was a good match for her, didn't hold back because she was a girl. And she did very very well also. Did you almost pass out, Sweetheart?"

Malik took the note, and scanned over it, before glancing back at his son.

"Have you seen this person? and if you have, what exactly does he look like."

Malik's eyes watch his son, very much concerned. anyone that knew about Kithcor and wanted to make obscure threats was a danger to him and his family.

"Kithcor was a battle. it's called Bloody Kithcor becuase it was overly bloody and full of butchery. I served Neriak's army then, and was a commander. That's all you need to know on the subject right now."

She had doen her own match, easily overpowering a human once his magical energy had been drained by her magics. then she'd gone to congradulate the winners. she foudn the girl with her family, and chose not to interrupt, and went off looking for the boy, who was apparently in a bad situation and why was he trying to sell his award?

"Might I suggest, if your going to be bartering, it would be much more productive if you were more civil."

"The dark skinned teror is breeding? oh dear lord help us. we'll have howling screaming devil women to contend with."

Onyx gave a smirk though and stuck his tongue out at Dhairiss, just because.

She caught her balance again and then sat back down on the bench. She'd seen that same lady from earlier who had waved at her but her family was too close for her to call out to her. She was beautiful, which was normal for elves but there weren't that many surface elves down here, despite having a surface once again. She gave a surprised sound as her mother popped up. "He did? He seemed pretty nice..."

Zahara gave a nod and ruffled Kelligrin's hair as he babbled to her excitedly. "They both nearly did each other in though. He's nursing a nearly broken arm and a limp that he just won't let me do anything for." A shake of her head and she chuckled, "They had to hold me back from pulverizing him but I calmed down. It's not everyday you see your baby girl tossed halfway down the arena from one blow of magic but she got back up and kept going. Just like an Inthara." Oh yes, she was proud.

He wasn't too concerned with the woman and he merely shrugged, "Doesn't mean anything. Either he chooses to go with the price set or I convince him of it." Glancing down at the medal and he shook his head. Seventy-five? For that piece of crap? Why are you trying to price gouge me. It's just a stupid hunk of gold." Though he knew better than to use the brute force he was planning on since she was a mage and she could seriously hurt him.

And just like his mother before him, both hands though, he grabbed hold of Onyx's tongue, much to his own giggling, holding it hostage in blue tipped fingers for a moment before letting it go and giving a glap of his hands and another bout of giggles.

"Oh stop that, that's not nice to say. One could say the same about your father or even you when you have children." Breaking out into giggles as Dhairiss went about doing what he was more or less earlier shown. "Don't you learn from your mistakes Onyx? Children repeat what they see." Though more sensitive to bonding needs, a little look off at the sudden concern that spiked from Malik's line.

Seemed he wasn't going to get much more about that subject that what he was being offered...probably one of those things that kept him and his father from communion...it was no scecret to him that his father didn't like to talk about his military days or have inquiry into them...well, aside from his mother asking him. "Um, about your height, surface pale, blonde, has obnoxiously polished gold armor and sword. Snotty attitude and condescending tone."

See all was working out just fine. Though if he didn't know better he would say the women were starting to be conspirital about this boy. Bah, boys around his little girl, still not a welcome things at all. "Well he has reminders that there are worthwhile competitors out there. And you were good and didn't pulverize him but rather tended to him. All in all, she put on a good show and I bet you learned a thing or two, didn't you dear?"

An averted look to the female voice...it was the woman who was much the talk amoung all the younger magic combatants. She seemed nice enough and was actually giving a tidbit or two to learn from. And now here she was...audience to his humiliation. Joy. A sigh. "Fine...twenty five."

Faate nodded happily and fingered her medal once again. "I had to be quick on my feet or he would have had me out way too fast. He did take me by surprise with that physical attack to begin with though. I didn't expect it and I had to regroup. He's not hurt too badly is he?"

"Indeed he does." Handing her youngest over to her oldest who was not joining in the conversation for some reason. "It was good for everyone. You got yourself some gratification from all that learning put in and now you've been in a real battle situation." She gave a thoughtful look and then wiped a smudge of dirt off her daughter's nose. "Nothing he wont' heal up from in a few days or so. I don't like knowing he's not here with anyone though. What parent would let their child compete alone?"

"Now that's much much better. Though I know you can do better than that, I'll take it at twenty-five." Digging out the required amount of steel and slapping it into his palm before holding out his own for the medal. "Stupid fool. You're not supposed to be that desperate."

"You did well in recovering though and learned that not everyone is going to come at you in the same fashion." Ruffling his daughter's hair lightly and a look to his wife. "Alone? He doesn't look old enough to be allowed to compete without someone here watching him." Shaking his head lightly before giving a sigh. "Well...shall we go hit the stands then and let everyone else have their fun?"

He knew that he had way undercut himself...he could of at least gotten forty he was sure of it. But he just wanted to be quick this time and end the humiliation he was currently experiencing. Especially when there was an aduience involved. Curling his fingers around the small steel disks, he reluctantly gave over his hard earned prize and turned on his boot heel, wandering off from the group with more than just his arm hurting now. But a look to the woman, "Thank you, I suppose. I at least didn't get my face handed to me." Talk about walk of shame.

Catching her husband's drift, she nodded. "He's not. I'd wager he's either the same age as Faate or a year older. But all young participants have to have parent signatures on their forms in order to be eligible for the events." Not that that meant anything. Bribing a less than firm somebody could easily mean entrance without proper forms. But she waved her family off. "Go on and enjoy yourselves. I've got patients to attend to." Thus heading back over to do her job.

"Lessons learned now will only benefit later." Giving a nod before she waved goodbye to her mother and followed her father. Though a moment later, she frowned as batons were handed to her by her brother.

"Mom said that boy left these in the healing tent. She wants me to take them back to him but I don't know who he is or where he's at so I'm giving them to you. If you want me to come with you, I will." Taking a seat next to his father and watching the upper level games unfold.

Faate took the batons in hand and gave a nod, then kissed her father's cheek. "I'll be careful, I promise. Kariel can stay here with you." Climbing down from the stands, though still moving slightly gingerly because of sore muscles, she took to scouring the grounds searching for the boy who had been her opponent in the games. It might help if she knew his name but she didn't, only what he looked like.

She passed that pretty lady who had waved to her and wanted to stop but needed to find the boy instead. Though shortly after, she came upon a group of boys who were passing around the medal that looked almost like the one around her own neck. There was no way that it belonged to any of them since they would have been in her age group during the competition and she hadn't seen them. "Hey! That's not yours! You stole that, didn't you?"

The three boys turned and faced her, the one she'd accused not looking too pleased. "You calling me a thief? I didn't steal nothing. He gave it to me." Laughing as he nudged his buddies and then crossed his arms. "Little girls like you shouldn't stick their noses into places they don't belong. Good way to get it chopped off."

Faate just rolled her eyes and used her staff to knock the older boy in the knees, grabbing the stolen medal from his hands and somersaulting out of the way. Tucking it into her robes, she took off at a run, looking to lose herself in the crowd so the boys couldn't find her.

It was probably punishment from on high for forging papers and the like, so he wasn't going to complain too much at all about it. He was just going to continue along in his ways as he always had, though damn it all for bullies. He had remembered amid his wandering, that he didn't even have his weapons...not that they were his too much really but one man's trash was another man's treasure. But currently he was at the vendors, getting himself some food at what not. Dropping items into his pack and handing over the scant amount of steel, he slung his pack over his back and faded back into the crowd. Hm...could pickpocket. But that was so dishonest...okay then, time to play stable boy. It was easy to find someone who was willing to put him to work, even if he only did have one hand to use and should be resting.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 09, 2007 5:56 pm

Faate managed to lose the boys and she questioned the vendors to see if they knew the boy she was looking for. No one knew his name but a few remembered one like him coming by though they couldn't help as to where he'd gone after and they didn't have time to answer more questions. She was getting frustrated.

Zykariel took the note that was handed to him and flipped it open then frowned. "Looks like you may get your wish, Dad. I may not be racing after all." He handed his little brother off and then hopped down from the stands, melting into the crowds and heading for the stables. Arguing with the race officials for a few moments, he led them all to Destyny's stall to prove that the allegations against her were false. She wasn't hurt and she wasn't being fed anything that normal horses weren't. Grabbing the stableboy whom he recognized from the one who had gone against his sister, he glared. No name, brand new worker, it had happened before. "Are you feeding my horse something you aren't supposed to be?"

One hand grabbing him right after another...his arm was going to fall off and he wasn't enjoying it at all. But he merely frowned at the sudden accusation that was thrown at him. "I haven't given her anything that she shouldn't have. Just what's provided in these stables from stock. If she has been fed something she isn't supposed to be, then the rest of the horses have been fed it too." Accuse him of such thing, what would he benefit from doing such a thing, it wasn't like he had money to bet or anything. "Could you let me go now? If you haven't noticed, I'm sure and you're hurting me further..."
PostPosted: Sun Sep 09, 2007 6:26 pm

He aplogized immediately for grabbing him too harshly and then turned his attention to the race officials. Obviously someone was handing out accusations that were false. Turning back to the stablehand, he shook his head. "I thought that was you. My sister's looking for you."

She was about ready to give up. She'd been up and down the fair grounds and hadn't been able to find him and no one seemed to know where he'd gone either. How could one elf disappear so quickly? It bore thinking about for sure. Strolling into the stables where her father had told her she could ind her brother, she frowned. "Kariel, I need your help. I can't seem to find him."

Zykariel glanced back at hte boy wiht a raised eyebrow as if to say, 'see?' and then turned his attention to the race officials. "He's in here. Good luck." Ruffling her hair, he led Destyny out and put her through the paces demanded to make sure she had no strange abilities or higher levels than she was supposed to.

The day was getting worse and worse in his opinion and all he'd gotten out of it was twenty five steel which was already gone. But a perplexed blink as to why this guys sister would be looking for him. Being let go he merely rubbed at his slung arm a moment before turning his attention to the girl who walked in. Oh great, and he had thought she was going to be a good sport and not gloat in his face. Yup, cosmic joke. Giving a sigh, he turned his attention to the girl. "So...what can I do for you?"
