H4X Lina dispelled all her barriers and attempted a shushin. A moment later she appeared upside down, floating for a split second upside down about thirty feet away from where the creature was before hitting her head on landing.
"....Dammit...."
She climbed to her feet and started moving back quicker. Bao Steel After five seconds of the continuous beep, a compression of purple gas exploded outwards from both of the large creatures. It's radius quickly spread over 100 feet. Anyone who didn't close their mouth and nose in that split second would be knocked out in half a minute. The poison would take over their body to cease their motor functions first. H4X Lina stood outside the gas's radius. She pulled her shirt up from under her armor till it covered her mouth and nose. She soon walked back into the cloud, keeping her eyes closed but sending out pulses of Rai for a form of echo location. How did you cover 70 feet in an explosion that was in a second?

I could argue the amount of time gas takes to spread, etc etc, but mostly that was due to the piss off nature of something being able to disable anyone who breathed it being a god mod on it's own.
I'll edit it if someone else wants to argue it, but honestly considering how I've had a zero hit rate in every fight for this storyline I figure it's my screw you way of returning the favor.

An explosion usually does spread things such as that, in a second.
I'm wondering how you got over there so fast.

I just didn't understand how you could be standing out of the gas's radius when you were 30 feet away and the explosion happened.
Unless you used a Jutsu in that second.

I won't argue my character having an immunity to poisons, I was still trying to make a point with that.
Fine, I'll edit my post and fix the problem.
But if this is another sign of how every part of the story around here is going to go I can tell you I will be leaving this guild.
edit: rather I mean the fact that every ability I have suddenly is useless after the change-over while you decide to argue this fact the one time I decide to not play by the rules in a more obvious way.

But anyway you may be right there, but if you're going to be piss off at me over unrealistically bending the rules then fine I'll make sure I come up with some bullshit to explain my dodging every attack for any RP.
Plain and simple if you want to say I don't hit anything then I suppose I don't have a point in this RP. I'm not some other member's mule that gets to instantly level up to kage status, I'm someone who tries to be active in an RP where no matter what happens it turns into dodged this dodged that.
In other words I'm trying to find some enjoyment in playing along, not come here to get pissed that every fight really is just my character hitting air for months on end.

So if that student argument is what you're saying then I suppose I'm through after this session aren't I?
I mean if you're either a student or a kage and there's no in between then it seems like that just proved I should have left after the takeover. I mean what then, I hit air till someone decides I'm kage level so I suddenly get to land attacks? Yeah, no thanks then

If you don't want to deal with the fact that it takes losses for your character to grow then I don't know what to tell you.
It's only been a few months and you're already about to leave when your character is still in the process of being trained.
If you don't have the patience to stick around, then...

It looks like something has been misunderstood through this argument, and it needs to be delved into further.
Because I see Lina's point.

EDIT: About how there's no in between when it comes to students and kages.
Part of enjoyment in a student teacher RP is elevating scale, or maybe I should re-phrase that as fighting opponents your level, when the guild shifted it seems someone decided that could be thrown out the window.
As for the few months part in Bao's comment
I'm not sure what you mean by it's only been a few months...
My character Bio was first in that thread: Sun Oct 28, 2007 10:59 pm and the next day I started posting.
I'm clearly not one of the first, but I've had more then my share of losses since I started.
If you mean since the takeover then it's over half a year, maybe closer to the year I guess. So maybe you could clarify?
