Yuke took a couple more bites, really enjoying the food. He smiled at Natalia, glad that this impromptu evening had worked out pretty well.
Ghost frowned some more, actually frustrated by this. It was a self-preservation instinct, as far as she knew, that they all ignored her and her necromancer ways. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that if I accidentally brush shoulders with someone I could kill them," she said quietly, though a little bitterly.

Natalia smiled some, enjoying the meal. She soon finished her half and gently wiped her mouth off. She wondered what kind of dessert they should get, if any.
Sora's tail tucked itself under the chair as he flinched a little at her bitter words. He felt he was making her quite mad. Maybe it was time he left her alone. He glanced at the pocket watch his uncle had gotten him and jumped. "Oh crap! I'm gonna be late! Sorry, but I gotta go. Great talking to you!" he said with a smile before rushing out her door. Truth be told, he wasn't going to be late for anything. He hated lying, but he had to so the necromancer wouldn't be so mad at him. More than she already was...
So he headed back to his room and flopped on his bed. The little fox sighed deeply as he nestled under the covers. Maybe a nap would help his saddening mood. And get his tail out from between his legs.

Yuke finished his food just as Natalia did, though not quite as gracefully. He didn't know if he could fit a desert into his stomach, but he could definitely humor her sweet tooth.
Ghost sighed sadly as Sora left. She hadn't been trying to push him away, but she was so used to being alone she just wasn't used to people not minding her, er, abilities. She grabbed a pillow and pulled it to her chest, lying back against her bed. She blinked unhappily up at her ceiling, before pulling off her gloves and tossing them to the floor. She looked at one of her hands, frowning. It was true what she'd said to Sora about her powers. They were deadly.

Natalia glanced to Yuke, wondering if he could fit a dessert. He looked rather full as it was. Maybe she'd just get something to go.
Sora sighed some, unable to sleep. He got up and let his birds out of their cage. The little pets flew around the room happily before landing on his headboard, watching him crawl back into his bed. They gave a few chirps to each other before they all nestled up to him, singing to the sad little fox, helping him go to sleep.

Yuke tilted his head at Natalia. "Pick your dessert yet?" he asked.
Ghost turned onto her side, staring at her floor. She fell asleep too easily for her comfort.

Natalia shook her head some, unable to decide on something. Man, this was embarrassing...
Sora slept for a while. When he woke, his birds were back in their cage, having closed it themselves. He sat up some and pulled a feather out of his hair before glancing outside. It had gotten darker, but he got up. He wanted to talk to his dad about what he was feeling for Ghost and if she'd ever like him...

Yuke chuckled a bit. The look on Natalia's face was just too cute.
Ghost started to toss and turn in her sleep. Immediately upon having gotten to sleep, she'd started to have a rather vivid nightmare that she'd had many times before. It essentially began with her walking down an empty hallway. Another student ran right into her, and their arm accidentally touched her wrist and the student died right there in the hallway. Then, all the teachers ban her from the school and the other students pelt rocks at her as she tries to leave. Except, that now the dream had Sora in it. Standing at the gate in the center of the way, preventing her from leaving so that she had to stand there and be hit with rocks... She woke up with a cry, and buried her face in her pillow. She hated that dream even more than her visions.

Natalia was getting cutely frustrated with her indecisiveness. This was really bugging the crap out of her. Usually she could choose something in a flash when it came to sweets. She glanced up, hearing Yuke, and asked him what was so funny.
Sora sighed some and knocked on his parents' door, hoping his father could enlighten him on these sorts of things.

Yuke shrugged and smiled at Natalia, not wanted to tell her he was laughing at her cuteness.
Damian looked up, a little surprised that someone was knocking on their door. He stood up and opened the door, further surprised to see Sora. "Hello there son; how can I help you?"

Natalia looked down at the menu, soon just ordering a cute little dessert, again more popular with couples.
Sora rubbed his arm nervously. He tail had wound around one of his legs, showing just ho nervous he was. "Dad, can I talk to you about something?" he asked, coming into the room. Once they were in a nice quiet room, he explained all the emotions that were swirling around the necromancer, and all the bad run-ins they had encountered with each other. Once he finished, he just sighed sadly, betting his father would say that this could not be. He was rather sure of it.

Yuke watched as the same amused smile came across the waitress's face at the dessert order before she went off to have it made.
Damian nodded, his expression never wavering from a listening one as he listened to his son's feelings. He could tell how hard it was for Sorako to share it all. After a few moments of silence, he leaned back and sighed. "I've only met Ghost a few times myself. Since I only teach beginner classes, I've only had her once, and as any good teacher here knows: The first class is never a good portrayal of the student. I will say that frankly, she makes most people rather nervous. I'm sure that either you've noticed it yourself, or she's pointed it out to you. What I know of her powers makes me rather nervous that you've seemed to overcome any preservation instincts, but I also can't attest to what she herself is like, so I suppose it took you getting to know her to realize she's not everything that necromancers are supposed to be. I'm sure that most of your bad run-ins were more bad luck than anything. This last one seems to be concerning her powers; things must be hard when you have powers over death. You do realize, Sora, how hard it will be to be friends with someone whose skin you can't ever accidentally touch?"

Natalia sighed some, wondering why everyone was smiling and smirking at her today. It was bugging her to no end...
Sora shook his head. "I-I don't care! I-I'll be extra careful! I just... I just wanted to give her a friend... Maybe something to be happy about...." he mumbled, his spirits dampening again. What was he thinking. Ghost would never want to get near him now. He made a horrible friend. His only friend currently was Yuke. And even Yuke didn't count, since he was family. So the little sparrow son hadn't a friend in the world. He didn't want Ghost to be like that...

Yuke tilted his head a little at the mute. "Everything okay?" he asked her, not sure why she sighed.
Damian got up and put a hand on his son's shoulder. "I'm not saying you shouldn't try. I know you'll be careful, Sora. You're more like your mother than like me. If you care that much, then tell her. I doubt she wants to be friendless, and I'll bet she'll be more than happy to have a friend like you."

Natalia looked up and smiled, signing that it was nothing. She was just thinking about some things, but they were unimportant right now.
Sora nodded some, but his spirits were still low. He thanked his father and went back to his room. He wasn't sure he could face Ghost again today...

Yuke smiled a little back, and the dessert was soon placed on the table. It looked delicious, even to a stuffed Yuke.
Ghost had finally managed to get into her pajamas, and then had consequently tripped on her own feet, fallen on the carpet, and been too drained to get back up, settling for curling up on her side and staring at the space under her dresser. She thought about how she'd treated Sora and felt horrible; it wasn't his fault that she was the way she was.
