no, tanks are made of steel idiot. Their shells are made of tungsten...tungsten is also in lightbulbs, i think...

Tungsten is a strong metal. It just breaks when it's in a thin filament and superheated.

Tungsten withstands heat. thats why they use it in tank shells so they dont burn up in air!
