According to the description, the vipers are reshaped forms of his energy (ki) that carry very similar characteristics to real snakes (ie. being able to dig their fangs into an opponent, wrapping around things). However, since they alone originate from 'a rare reaction' given to him through the use of his Gene-X, it would not make sense that any form, other than the viper reformation of his ki, should be directly dispelled from his energy; meaning no 'snake' daggers/knives. However, the fact that the vipers were originally warped or 'shape-shifted' out of the energy he had prior to taking the Gene-X, that these reptiles came into existence due to a rare quality that he obtained, allowing his ki to be molded and reshaped, in order to give it real, snake-like qualities that carry influence over physical matter (such as another human being - ei. being able to latch onto them, drag them, etc.), may actually allow his snakes themselves to carry the characteristic of transformation -since they were bore out of the transformation of his ki. Logically, then, it is plausible that Bo's vipers CAN indeed contort their figures in order to form into weapons (such as knives, blades, senbon, etc.), but being snake-based and essentially, user-based, weapons of this sort would probably not be able carry any qualities that differentiate from the qualities of their source, Bo. To further explain the latter, any weapon formed from his snakes cannot be more solid, longer, stronger, heavier/lighter, etc. than the snakes themselves. . . unless perhaps, more energy (ki) is concentrated into their reformation. After all, it must have taken a certain concentration of ki to shape his vipers in the first place and allow them to maintain their form.
