Arikku giggled and blushed at all the encouragment. She waited for Iyasu-san to get situated. She then took a deep breath and started to sing.
She began in a lower note, about alto. She then moved up eventually into saprano. She sang a song that her grandfather had taught her when she was younger. It was her grandmother's favorite song from when she was a geisha.
She went through the song pretty nervous but easing up at the end. She had been taught to sing with the feeling of the song so her nerves did not show through. Instead she appeared to be happy.
She finished the song up and then smiled with another deep breath.

Arikku blushed and bowed at the applause. She felt she did better then she probably ever had in public. "Arigato everyone." she said and bowed in thanks.

"Wonderful, Arikku-chan!" Tora winked. "Beautiful!" Tora smiled. "Would anyone like some tea or sake?" she asked.

"Oh! Shagatsu-san!" Tora gasped. "I just remembered," she giggled, "You promised to paint my doll when I became a geisha, remember." She slid her hand into her kimono and placed the wooden doll infront of him. "No rush," she winked. "Take your time!" Tora smiled at him sweetly. "Thank you again, Shagatsu-san."

xp "How could I forget?" He said with a great laugh. He took the doll and pulled some paints from his sleeve. "If you would be so kind as to give me a moment alone. I like to concentrate on my artwork." He said with a smile

Arikku bowed and smiled agian. She then sat down and drank the rest of her tea. She began to listen to the conversating around her.

((OOC: Sorry about this all, but I'm heading back home to VA for my friend (whose father died recently). I'll do my best to keep up here, but if I'm silent, that's why x.x;.))
Iyasu smiled to Arriku as she bowed and said her thank yous to everyone. Arriku had a marvelous voice. Iyasu could hardly wait to hear her sing in class and wow the other students with it. She finished off her cake and sake. It was getting late and it would probably be best that she and her younger sister left.
"Oh my, it is getting so late! Yokome-chan and I should probably leave. There is much to be done tomorrow!" She bowed everyone and glanced over to Yokome to make sure she did the same, "Thank you for letting us entertain with you."

Arikku stood and bowed to Iyasu. "Arigato Iyasu-san." she said and smiled. She then walked over quietly to Serena.
She shook her lightly. "Serena-san, maybe you should return to your okiya. You are falling asleep." she said quietly near her ear.
