"Kind of like me huh? Can you put two people like me in a room and expect things?" Giving a shrug then and another sigh. "I don't know what the hell I did though, so how am I supposed to keep doing it? We just kinda spent some time together is all and I invited her to tournament. Though I suppose it is quite nice that she is indeed coming to tournament. Guess I'll have to impress then won't I? Hopefully this fiasco at home doesn't mean I can't go to tournament."

"Take all the time and any resources you need to discover this anomaly. I want it found at least before the tournament. my son is competing and I'd prefer not to have piper even more worried thant she already will be by some unknown thing possibly threatening us. and once we find it, we'll work on either containing it or outright destroying it."
Malik drummed his fingers on his chair, and frowned lightly.
"I'll show this force how soft I've gone. there was something to say for Cymarron's systematic methods. destroy the bloodline, and that prevents future generations from troubling you. if you get them all."

"I don't make promises but you know I've always put forth my absolute best when it comes to such things as this. If this isn't resolved before then...well look at it as an oppotunity for a saying that humans are fond of: 'When the cat is away the mice will play'. Perhaps with the cats being out of the house, whomever is doing whatever will feel secure enough to try and set bait to a trap or trigger ones already set up. It's important that you don't give them anymore than they have or pretend to be on top of things...if they need to think that they can get to you, let them think so and just don't make it possible for them to actually think so. And I'll also keep watch on my own front...after all, our houses tend to run in the same track so to speak."

"You never know. It's not based on what kind of person you are, Malikhai. It's...more complicated than that. Has to do with souls or something..." He didn't really know that was for sure. His mom liked to say such things. "All I know is that she thinks you're intriguing enough to go see at the tournament. Do you know how many males have invited her places? Malikhai, this is a big deal."

He chuckled, "Now you're getting all deep on me." Continuing in his chuckling somewhat before settling and then giving a sigh to perhaps regulate his breathing back into normal ways. "It's because I'm blue isn't it?" Might as well make a joke or two on all of this, lighten the mood around him somewhat. "So what does that mean she's some type of ice princess or something or is she just picky?"

"Alright. then as far as the House is concerned things will run smoothly as ever. but if you need, feel free to interrogate anyone you need, or use any resources that you must."
having a servant bring him wine.
"Want something to drink?"

"I have your back and you know it and I'll do things as you needed. Just need to be discreet about it all, and I do suggest that you head to tournament if it isn't resolved by then. Right now we're being stalked in a sense and we can only look around with ears perked but can't see the predator. But predators leave tracks that can be followed. However I do think you would agree that making sure our families are safe first is one of the hight priorities." Shaking hsi head lightly with a smirk. "You know I've never trusted you giving me drinks after that first time to slipped whatever it was into it."

Zykariel shook his head and joined his friend in his chuckles, "I've been around far too many women lately. Without my little brother around, Dad and I are hopelessly outnumbered and Kelligrin doesn't add a whole lot to the testosterone in the family. He's still to little, aren't you buddy?"
"Not little!" He slapped another block onto the top of the pile, accidentally catching his brother's fingers in the process. "Oops. Still not little."
"Ow..." Zykariel sucked on his finger for a moment and then turned his gaze back to the linkstone. "I'd have to say just picky. She's probably considered an ice princess but I think she's just waiting for exactly what she wants to pop up. When it does, she'll give him everything she's got. And if you aren't him, then you won't get very far with her. Just let her decide and go with what she wants. Best way to keep all of your body parts when around women."

He chuckled. "You should switch places with my mom, she's surrounded by a sea of testosterone everyday, we all out number her." Shaking his head lightly and cocking an eyebrow at the yelling and the sound of injury from both boys which he couldn't see, but he merely shook his head to it and shifted his weight to a more comfortable position. "Vicious packs of women...suppose all I can do anyway is that. However I think that makes me more comfortable though...means I can be myself."
Dhairiss shifted against Zahara, giving a noise of discontent before a little noise akin to a sob, and then came teh crying. Crying was not a common thing for any D'vinn, seeing as Piper usually got there first to ease away anything that would make them want to do so, but at present this was a sort of crying that wasn't really from too much distress that would make his bond light up like a flashlight, though it would start waking her within a moment or two if unchecked.

"It was for your own good, and it turned out just fine. besides, I've no need to drug you again."
A slight smirk, drinking from his glass.
"Speaking of the Tournament. I entered your son in the non-martial events. potions, magic displays, lore study. hope you don't mind. I thought it would do good to see just what someone that is accomplished in these areas can really do. might make him reconsider casting it aside quite so readily."

"I would feel for you mother but I know she can handle it. After all she married your father and if that doesn't take a brave soul, I don't know what does." Knocking down the block house that Kelligrin had finished building since he knew that's what he was supposed to do.
He wasn't going to answer his brother and merely rolled his eyes when the baby tried to claim the linkstone. "No that's not yours. That's mine." A nod to his friend though he couldn't see it. "Being yourself is the best way to weed through the women. If htey don't like you, tough cookies to them. If they do, then you never have to worry about them finding out about who you really are."
Zahara was well used to dealing with crying and fussy babies and she merely shifted him slightly, shushing him with a few words and rocked him gently. "Hush little one and let your mother be. She needs her reverie." She was getting frustrated, searching for the records they had painstakingly kept regarding each and every horse they'd ever bread. Every line, every champion's foals were in those records and they were carefully consulted each time to keep from crossbreeding too closely or figuring out stud fees and mating partners. Where were the thick tomes?

"Still wrong." Snorting and crossing his arms lightly. Sure it all worked out but he didn't want to simply let Malik be right or win today. "Frankly I think your drugs would be drowned out by everything already floating around in my system anyway." Either way, Sevilin didn't drink anyway...he was a cheap and horrid drunk, always had been. But a raise of an eyebrow at the information and he gave a sort of half hearted laugh. "Good luck with getting him to participate...he's stubborn like his mother, thusly why he's in the habit of sticking to what he wants to do over other things right now."
"She holds up pretty well...and can more or less put us all in our places. I'm still trying to figure out how she does it." He'd come a long way from the days where he was being carried around and 'no one was prettier than mommy was'. Ah nostalgia. "Suppose so, they just seem like so much work. Well, all the ones I've met...guess it's hard to socialize since I don't go to the school in Vesendar like the rest of you. Hey how's that like anyway?"
A shift and such did stifle the crying somewhat but it appeared that he still wasn't so happy. Little elves with little reverie often weren't the greatest thing. "Mommy'll get up." He knew what reverie was, but also that mommy always got up when he was feeling out of sorts. Or sometimes daddy, but mommy moresoe. He rubbed at his eyes in irritated fashion, giving a frown and a noise even as Zahara held him...why was she holding him anyway. Thusly squirming some.

"I can assure you he'll participate. after all, he wouldn't want to look bad in front of other students. since I'm sure several, if not more, of his classmates are already enlisted as well in them. Pride will make him participate."
A small grin.
"Wrong for the right reasons. and only needed because you both are stubborn as mules sometimes."

"Mine does with a wooden spoon. I assume she uses about the same technique, though in a different way. A look, a word, or an action will do the same thing if one associates it with something negative." Like teh wooden spoon being pulled out. Usually caused whoever had done something wrong to duck or cover, even knowing they were going to get smacked anyway.
"School? A little different from yours. We have set times and classes and the schedule never really changes. We're also all mixed in so we can't learn at as fast a pace as I would like. I still say you should come to school with me a day or so, just to test it out and see. If you like it, talk to them about going there permanantly. You are old enough to make that kind of decision now, yes?"
Frowning at the child for a moment, she rubbed at his back and then set him down, aware of the independent streak children his age went through. "Dhairiss, your mother needs her reverie right now. We don't want her to get up or she's going to be tired and cranky and that's not good. Why don't you play a game with me or I'll read you a story." Then another thought. "Are you hungry?"

"I don't think acedemic scoff is what one of his worries is." Zykariel was a wonderful student...when he wanted to be. A quick learner and to trained eyes also an over achiever...he just didn't know what to do with himself when he got bored, which in a sense made him cocky. But a light shrug. "I suppose that we'll just have to wait and see won't we. There's no point in me forcing him to compete if he'll just purposefully do poor to spite being forced." Though another scoff. "You're just as stubborn sometimes and no one drugs you."
"Mine just kind of looks at us." Shrugging and then sitting himself up, picking Yinn up from the floor and pulling him up on the bed next to him, scratching a the creature's wing bases. "No wonder you don't like to study and stuff, you do it all day at the same time and the same thing each day. Kinda makes me appreciate being able to move at as fast a pace as I want." But a blink as his friend's suggestion mimicked that of Kaelin's a few days prior. "Well, technically I am but my parents still pretty much have the last say. I could at least mention something to them, maybe make it into terms dad can't refuse. Like a course in working on PR through exposure to others." Chuckling a the implied common fact that Malik had little to no PR skill.
Now on the floor, hands scratched at short puffy silvery white hair and he made one of those noises that fussy children made as he was more or less being told no that he couldn't have his mother. At a mention of food though, green-blue gold flecked eyes looked past little blue fingertips to her and he gave a nod. "Missed breakfast." And that did not make his tummy happy.
