Malik looked at Lyssie..well. he didn't know much about how to calm a panicing person except to slap them really hard. But that probably would not be a good idea right now.
so he gave Lyssie the look he gave some servants, the 'I am lord of the manor and you best obey' look.
"Calm down. there's no serious harm done, nothing that can't be easily mended. everything is going to be fine. however...telling us exactly what happen would help you in the long run, so we can avoid this in the future."
nope, he didn't quite buy either of the 'it's her fault' stories either...though he did take the girl with Piper to the nursery. and look at his son and Zahara's youngest, before giving him the shush sounds, and tossing a bonechip on the floor, that became a skeletal snake that rattled it's tail. hopefully that would distract him.

Zahara settled her daughter down with a pillow across her father's lap so that she could handle the back of her head. "It's not going to be a problem, Faate." She took the needle and handed a cloth to Sevilin so he could blot the blood between stitches. They'd done this before with Zykariel and had this program down to a science. Easing the needle in gently, she made the first three stitches. It looked to be rather small and would only take about three or four more. She made the last ones between her daughter's story and then blotted the rest of the blood.
Still terrified and really wishing she could translocate herself, she whimpered and obediently moved her body the way she was told. "Lyssie had it right except she only asked once and she didn't ask very nicely at all. But I did throw the baby at her and it smacked into teh wall and she got mad and pushed me. I wouldn't have fallen but I tripped over some blocks on the floor and hit my head and it really hurt. I didn't even know I was bleeding till she started screaming..."
Lyssie on the other hand was sitting quietly by herself, having calmed down considerably after being removed from the room with the blood and her sobbing sister. She felt bad, both about not telling her parents she'd shoved her sister and about making Faate get stitches. She studied her hands and sighed, glancing at her brother. "Hush Kel. Nothing's wrong." She quailed under the furious look Malik sent her and then studied her boots. Even her Aunt and Uncle were mad at her. Counting the laces, her eyes filled with fresh tears.
Kelligrin wasn't pleased to be taken away from his parents but he quieted as Piper went about soothing him. The snake half terrified him as he clutched at her collar and yet with the curiosity of most children, he wanted to touch it. "Mine?" he sniffed, reaching for it and nearly tumbling off Piper's lap.
"Of course I will. But once I know you're fine, I have to laugh. It'll be horribly amusing and your armor will get all dirty." Though it was all in fun. "Think positive, Khai. You aren't going to fall and you're going to steal the show and massacre your opponent, all figuratively speaking of course." Heading back down the cliffs, he shot his friend a look. "See, and my parents say I don't pay attention in school."
Rolling his eyes as the horses hit flat ground, he grinned. "Go!" And he adn Destyny were off like a shot, racing across the Underdark, all stealth and speed just like Zykariel loved. Pulling back when they were closer to Twilight he nodded. "Loose and time for new. You were right. I felt it slip and slide that whole way."

Easy enough to go through this...it was no big deal really. All he did was keep things clear for vision and then made sure to be a comfort to his daughter, rubbing at her back lightly with his free hand. Hm, he didn't know whether he wanted to fuss over messy places thus causing accidents or just the general pushing and shoving...or both.Waiting for his wife to finish before he sat his daugher up. "There, better?" Oh the child problems started right off the bat...
"Malik, don't." Shaking her head at him...he simply didn't deal with some things too well, oh talk about a headache that was coming from all of this. Though having to grab Kel who tried to take a tumble, but it appeared that he was just going to be fine. A look at the little bone creature, knowing that it was harmless. "Sure...why not yours." Thusly setting the child down on the floor so he could play with it. Thusly her attention turned to Lyssie and she reached out taking hold of the girl and pulling her into her lap.
Slight pout at those sounds, though he merely kept his ears covered until the wailing stopped and went back to studying his hand, or more pointedly the blood under his fingernails right now. Thusly holding his hand out to Malik. "Daddy! Look it!" Little pale hand still quite red tinted, fingertips slight purple from the color overlay.
"You sure do have a lot of confidence in me, don't you? Careful, I don't need you making me cocky." Giving a grin and a chuckle to that one. Though a roll of his eyes. "That because you act like you don't." Kicking his horse into a gallop as his friend took off, keeping an eye on how things were. "See, I told you...and that made you ride crooked."

Zahara let Sevilin comfort the little girl since she was more likely to take it from him anyway. She was currently the one who had stitched Faate up so she was in the bad guy position. It was alright as long as the child was getting some form of comfort. She squeezed the girl's hand lightly. "You did fantastic and now it's all done." Though she had known there was something else to the story. Lyssie had pushed her sister would had resulted in Faate tripping over a block on the floor and falling backwards. She would have fallen anyway but she might have avoided the stitches if the block hadn't been there. Still, they'd need to talk to Lyssthyren about it.
Faatallon wrapped her arms around her father and held onto him for a moment. Sure it was over and it hadn't been as bad as she thought it would but still. "Much." She paused for a moment and then studied her hands. "Are you really mad at Lyssie, Daddy? It wasn't all her fault and I shouldn't have thrown the baby doll at her even though it wasn't really at her..." Still taking the responsibility that was hers was important.
Lyssie took the comfort in silence before shaking her head and hugging her aunt tightly. "I pushed her Aunt Piper! And the block being there was my fault too because I was playing with them and didn't clean them up. But it's all my fault that Faatallon got so hurt and then I lied to them about it. They're going to be really really mad." Cue silent tears spilling down her cheeks.
Kelligrin, crawled over warily and briefly touched the bone snake. It didn't bite him like some would at home and he reached out and took hold of the bones along it's neck, shaking lightly and giggling as the snake moved like a real one would. That was exciting. Toys came alive. "Come play?" asking the other little elf in the room who appeared to be rather fascinated with his hands. They weren't new and the enjoyment over those had died for Kelligrin long ago.
"Somebody's got to. You have confidence in me and that's helped me win more races than my skill alone. Sometimes you just need a believer." Which is what he didn't have in his father though his mother filled that role easily enough. He patted Destyny's neck and nodded. "Poor girl. She's ready for some lunch and a nice rest. She worked hard today so I'll brush her for an extra hour or so and get her settled with some food. You can head on in if you like or stay and keep me company."

Malik glanced at his wife, a gave a small shrug..he didn't know any better way to get someone to calm down. fear was still a primary tactic. the snake of course, responded under careful controls. a toy, though seemingly alive.
though his attention turned to his youngest, and gave a slight smirk to his fingers.
"purple eh. I thought you liked the blue color better. want to get them cleaned up some?"

A look to Zahara, the 'I'm right in someway that I've always said' look. "See, that's why things should always be clean, such things can be avoided. Granted there should be no shoving, but there should still be no mess either." Shrugging lightly and petting at his daughter's hair, comforting her in familiar manner. And here we go in the circle of children trying to keep each other from getting in trouble. Though Sevilin knew how to handle this one. "I'm angry with you both on the same levels. She's your younger sister, you shouldn't be harsh with her and you shouldn't throw things at or toward her. Also, she knows better than to go around shoving people and then on top of it lying about things." There we go, covered both...ah parent tactics.
"Shh, it's alright. Everyone does things they don't meant to. Like when uncle Malik forgets his PR and makes people cranky." Not that the child would get that too much, but it was fun to poke at Malik. Wiping the moisture off the child's face with her gloved hand. "I bet if you tell them the truth the moment you see them, they won't be as mad as if you would try to hide it. People say things they don't mean when they're scared too." Looking to Kelligrin and then her youngest. Mhm...he had blood on his hand.
For a moment his attention turned to Kelligrin on the floor, whom was playing with a snake. He had already decided that he didn't like snakes, already had had a bad experience with them and no matter how much fun Kel apperared to be having, Dhairiss wasn't seeing too much. "Snakes are mean..." A little frown of triple colored eyes before they blinked up at his father again and then down to his fingers, holding up both hands to compare color...or at least that looked like he was doing. "Yes?" Was that the answer.
"I'm a motivation to your winning so you should be a motivation to my winning huh? Sounds good enough for me, just don't be disappointed too fast okay?" Rolling his eyes as he untacked his own horse, hanging things up and then letting him wander off. He'd just talk to his dad about it...after all, he used to attend tournament or so that's how the old badtime stories had gone. "I don't need to stay and watch you baby her, I'm heading in."

Wiping Lyssie's tearstained face, she quirked an eyebrow. "Are you read?" While Sevilin dealt with Faate, Zahara moved downstairs to talk to Lyssie. The moment she entered the room, her daughter had launched herself at her and tearfully spelled out the truth, admitting she'd shoved her sister and been meaner about the baby doll than she'd first admitted and hadn't cleaned up the toys like she knew she was supposed to. Zahara had listened to her, hugged her and then pulled her into a corner while she calmed down. But now it was time to face facts and Lyssie had some apologizing to do.
She nodded. "Yes, but only if you're coming too." Standing up, she took her mother's hand and slowly walked upstairs. She knew she was probably in trouble for shoving her sister but anytime punishments were given, both of her parents were present unless one was away and even then linkstones had been used to discuss it. Stepping into the nursery, she glanced at her sister for a moment and then studied her boots. "I'm sorry Faate for pushing you and I'm sorry for lying about how she fell and not picking up the toys. I won't do it ever again, promise."
Faate nodded to her father and sighed. Trouble was a sucky thing to be in. She glanced up at her sister and gave her a smile. "It's alright, Lyssie. I should have been nicer to you and I'm sorry I threw the baby at you. If it had hit you, it could have really hurt you and I know better." Pushing herself to her feet, she walked over and hugged her little sister then gave a nod to her mother.
Zahara moved past the two girls and sat down next to Sevilin. "Very good girls. Now, go play while we discuss what happened and decide things. Faate, you are not to jump around or play rough and don't get your hair wet. We'll get the blood out when we get home. But I think Kelligrin wants to see you. He was pretty worried." Watching the girls leave, she rested her head on Sevilin's shoulder. "Not even back ten minutes and the kids act up. I should probably give Piper what-for for not knowing something was going on but it's happened so many times at our house that I can't. Those kids could get into trouble right under your nose." Wrapping an arm through his and sighing. "So, what do you want to do?"
Kelligrin merely shrugged and continued to play with the snake though he was rather pleased when his mother came back in and then even more pleased when his sisters reentered. Crawling over to Faate, he used her to stand up and touched her hair. "Red!" Then pointing to Dhairiss. "Red!" Clapping his hands and giving his sister a hug. "Red, red, red!" Though he frowned a moment at his other sister's face and crawled over, picking up the snake and bringing it to her.
"Nah, you'll always be the best to me." Giving him a clap on the back and dismounting before, petting at Destyny for a moment. "Check on my sisters for me, would you? If they latch onto you, just gently remove them and sit 'em down. They like doing that for some reason..." Rolling his eyes and pulling his horse into the stables to brush her down. His baby deserved a bit of special treatment for all the hard work she'd done.

Malik picked up his youngest, giving a look to Piper.
"I'll get his hands washed and cleaned up...and let you help with Sevilin and Zahara. this kind of thing is a bit beyond my PR skills, as you put them."
A slight grin at his wife.
"Oh, would you like me to see if your horse-thief has snapped yet in a little room smelling of blood and filled with hanging chains and instruments of death yet? Or would you like me to send a Breaker in to 'ask' him something?"

Well...Piper had all the kids again, save for the one that Malik was taking off with to clean up. "Just make sure you get it all off his hand...and out of his hair. As for that little glitch in life...leave him alone till tomorrow. Though if you feel the need to play, there was a whole camp of them and probably more than just that one on the far east...I'll let you play if you want, but don't come back here....covered in business so to speak..." Turning her attention to the Inthara children for the moment. "Are we all alright now?"
"Well...we do have four and she's only one person. And Keely can only be but so many places. The kids shouldn't be roughing with one another anyway." Distastful look at that, seeing as his and Zahara's own sibling relationships pretty much made them want to avoid all malicious acts between their own children. "Honestly...I don't know right now. How do you make a fair punsihment for the both of them, what with the age differences?" Another one of those parenting bumps in thier road they didn't know how to deal with.
"Check sisters, got you." Waving his friend off and walking inside, blinking though to the sights he was greeted with. "Wow, Zykariel must be telepathic now, he asks me to check on his sisters and it seems that something has gone down. So, what I miss?"
Squirming as he was picked up, though he quit not too long after. "Where we gong?"

Both girls nodded though Lyssie blinked at Malik for a moment. "You shouldn't play with sharp things, Uncle Malik. They can hurt you and your playmate." She turned to Malikhai as he walked in and frowned, "Where's Kariel at?" Handing the snake back to Kelligrin and watching him crawl over to Faate. "We got into a fight and I pushed her. She hit her head on Dhairiss' crib. It wasn't pretty at all."
Instruments of death? Hanging chains? At Twilight...? And a room that smelled of blood...that didn't sound good at all. Why would her aunt and uncle have such a room in their house? What if one of them had wandered into it accidentally? She had a feeling it would be a memory she wouldn't want to reverie over and over again. Then again, did that mean her uncle was a murderer? "I'm okay. Just got a few stitches and blood in my hair." Avoiding Malik's gaze as she played quietly on the floor with Kelligrin.
"No, they shouldn't and therein lies the real problem. Although, they are both guilty for different crimes so maybe the punishments don't have to line up as evenly? Faatallon is older and should know better than to fight with her sister. She threw the doll out of anger and could have hurt Lyssythren then this situation would have been reversed or could just be much worse. Lyssie on the other hand, knows better than to push or shove and she has no patience to speak of. They were both irritating each other just to do it and then they both got violent." A shake of her head. "I suppose the crimes aren't all that different after all." Back to square one. "Lyssie lied too by omitting the fact that she'd pushed her sister. Running her hands through her hair, she sighed. "I don't know either. I'm not really fond of sending them to their rooms unless they are being completely unreasonable and I know you feel the same. Maybe we could restrict their activities?"

He walked over, hands shoved in his pockets and peered at Faate's head, tilting his head some in inspection. A whistle, "Wow, you two need to chill out a little before it comes to that. Good thing his crib is wood and not metal or stone or anything like that. You'll be fine right? And Zykariel is out brushing down Destyny." Sitting down next to his mother, watching Kelligrin for a moment...hm, bone snake. Sure sign of dad. "So what do you all think about mounted tournament events?"
A frown, "Mounted events?" Personally, she was biased against them merely because of what happened to Malik...but at the same time...she has already made plans to not bother the boy about the tournament...
"Yup..." That was all he had to say since they were running in a circle a bit there for a few minutes, but he gave a nod to her on her suggestion. "Sounds like a good idea, take away something they love to do or play or whatever with for a week or so. Hm, what to restrict though..." Getting one of those smirks of his. "Could take boys away from Faate." Saying it merely to lighten the situation...he knew Zahara probably wouldn't go for it.

"I'll handle them. my sword arm needs some exercise."
though taking his son to the bathroom and washing his hands and hair, making sure to get all the blood out and off of him. Though he could feel the one girls questions. he didn't even need Malvolence for that.
but once the boy was cleaned up, he took him back to his mother, and glanced at his son.
"your with me. we're going out, and we'll see you earn your stripes a bit."
no ifs ands or buts in that statement. before heading out to the stables, a whispered word and he was decked out in his black armor, putting on teh helmet, and Malvolence was brought to him, sheathing it on his hip.
"Get your blade."
before glancing at his servants.
"Bring him my Neriak armor. I want my son dressed for combat."

Zahara chuckled, "As amusing and punishing as that would be for her, it's damn near impossible to ensure unless we keep her from going to school for a week and that would give your son ideas that you don't want him to have. We can't take their animals away because someone has to take care of those things and I don't really want the job and Faate has to do her runing." Another shake of her head. "No school activities for a week. Faate and Lyssie are both in various things there and then they aren't allowed outside either. After school they come straight home and do their other studies, then they can play inside but that's it. No riding, no scavenging, no taking the various animals outside and playing with them..."

"Don't be too horrid now, plesase? I don't really want bond feedback of that sorts right now..." She was getting a tiny bit stressed out here, but another blink as he apparently wanted to take his son with him, telling the boy to come with him in that no arguing voice. "Don't push him too much Malik." Didn't know exactly what Malik was going to do with him, but if it was somethign that would piss her off...well she would find out and Malik would just have to make friends with a bed that wasn't his own again.
"I can't go?" Turning a look to his mother whom was serving as his chair at the moment, giving a little frown. No fair, Khai got to go places with daddy that he couldn't. Daddy kept saying he wasn't old enough yet.
"Afraid not sweety. How about you stay here and protect us women, hm? We need a strapping elf who can do that. Have to keep all the bad things away after all."
He blinked at the tone and merely got himself up, following out after his father as he was told to, giving a mere shrug as he left his mother's side. Apparently...he was earning stripes...whatever that meant. But soon enough...he wad decked out in armor, his sword at his hip and was standing next to his father. Armor was never a problem for him to adapt to, he'd been wearing it since he was three, but he did have to adjust a little seeing as he didn't quite fit Malik's armor. "And we're doing what?"
"Having multiple kids is hard, everything crosses." Shaking his head but them smiling, "I wouldn't trade in any of them, but being a parent I do have the right to b***h and moan all I want." Giving a chuckle before going serious again, nodding. "Sounds reasonable...they'll whine and such and try to get otu of it, but it's the fairest way to go about it. And if Zykariel wants to tease them about it...well he can join them."

Malik glanced at his son, leading Ramoth out of her stall and having her armored up as well.
"there's a group of horsethieves that have been raiding the herds with a growing impudence and pride. we're going to end that, by making sure none of them live past the next hour."
mounting up on Ramoth.
"We're going to put your training to a real test. a test of battle against men or elf..or halfbreed. whatever this band is compromised of. and they will all die. You and I will ride upon them, and bring them the only punishment such creatures understand. death."
