I heard that squid pirate in the Pirates of the Carribean is the Flying Dutch Man. Did any one know that?

Dr. Gerobuu I heard that squid pirate in the Pirates of the Carribean is the Flying Dutch Man. Did any one know that? He owns the legendary folklore ship by that name, yes. The ship is called the Flying DutchMan and, in folklore, it's a ghost ship that is doomed to sail the "seven seas" forever... But that's the original folklore- I'm not sure if it has the same history in the movie.
