He was dressed semi-fancy today, who the hell knew why but that's how it was. Coming out of the closet so she didn't have to loiter in it with him, he was braiding his hair with nimble fingers that didn't even have to look anymore to know they were in thier right motions. Smiling, he inclined his head to press a kiss to her cheek lightly. Good moods were wonderful things. "Missing the children already? That seems to be why we keep having more." Giving a chuckle to that before holding out a hand for hers in chivalrous gesture, "If you really want them that bad, we can walk over and get them."

Was she really that transparent? Of course she was, at least to him. They both knew each other far too well so she merely shrugged sheepishly and walked over smoothing down his collar. "I keep telling myself it's far too quiet which usually means someone is tied down and gagged or they all just randomly went into reverie." She took his hand and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "I do have some shopping that needs to be done but if I take you, you'll say no to half the things on my list and search for bargains the whole time because you're cheap." Softening that with a smile, she chuckled, "Or we could just go frolick in the Underdark like two teenagers. Malik cut down my tree but I'm sure we can find another...." Though she paused a moment and then gave him a thinking look. "Or, since we're so refreshed and you're so relaxed, I bet I could finally fell you with my daggers." She gave him a grin, "What do you say? A friendy fight to decide what we do next? You can even pick the weapon of choice, but no runing."

He rolled his eyes. "Well, not cheap persay, more of thrifty." Shaking his head light and dropping his braid back over his shoulder as she took his other hand, "Frolick? Isn't that like being bait? And you can always find a new tree." Before blinking at her a moment, watching her with that look he used when he was trying to figure someone or something out. Before a chuckle of course. "Ah so you think you get me mellow enough and you can fell me, when on a regular basis, you can't move me an inch if I don't want to be moved?" Wearing the amused pondering look for a moment before angling a smirk at her. "Sounds fair enough. I'll play daggers with you if you want."

She gave him a quirky little grin and was tempted to shove him down on the bed to prove a point but he would only say that he wanted to be moved and that was why she'd been able to do so. He'd learned to watch his wording over the years and anticipate certain things. "Mmmhmm." Denial was a beautiful thing. She still swore up and down that she could beat him if she really wanted to. Of course they both knew she couldn't and if he wanted to, he could snap her in half like a twig. But sometimes he actually let her get a hit on him and sometimes she managed to do it by herself. She headed downstairs and over to the weapons rack hanging by the front door. Removing her own daggers, she sheathed them then handed him his and headed for the horse corral. Stepping into the middle, she stood there and then grinned. "I'd hate for you to get that lovely tunic dirty though so you'll have to take it off. You know when I knock you on your a**. And chainmail if you're wearing it." She didn't think he was though.

Tucking the handed over daggers into his belt he followed her out. Blah the corral...but it was a large circle of mostly flat dusty dirt, so it was actually a very very good place to do such things. Shaking his head at her with a smile though as he took to buttons. "You just want to see me stripped to my waist is all, I know you." But yes, no chainmail underneath today and he walked over to the fencing, shrugging out of his tunic and laying it over the poles, taking his belt off as well and hanging it, daggers held in one hand. "Better? Though you can still dream about knocking me down." Walking back to his own measured distance from her and then flipping daggers into proper position, dropping into stance. "Ladies first."

He certainly did, but why deny herself the lovely view. Of course it would be even better once they actually started fighting and all those delicious muscles were being used. Lord she was easy to thrill. She dropped into the fighting stance as well and then sent him a challenging look. "We'll see who drops who, Raven. No holding back unless you really feel like it." She didn't need to be told twice and they both knew the way the competition would probably go. Thus she circled him for a moment, then tapped her booted heel and moved in, swiping low to use his larger height to her advantage (though it was a ridiculously easy blow to dodge), before spinning to keep him from striking her and giving him a come-hither smile. If things went well, they'd both have fun and get a few laughs as well as some exercise and practice out of the deal.

"Noted, but remember, you've brought your own doom on yourself." Letting her circle and take her more or less false first swipes at him before he took to circling her as well at her come hither look. Circled her much like a jungle cat did the deer it had backed into a corner that it couldn't leap out from. And he struck just as fast, though first with his boots taking to her ankles to throw her balance before the sharp blades came up in diagonal slashes that went opposing direction along her body. His eyes were pinned to her, knowing that she did have a size advantage here, she could manuver the tiniest bit quicker.

"Don't I always?" Twelve years ago that move would have brought her crashing down on her bottom, legs splayed and quite embarrassed. Now, however, she'd learned one of his tricks and merely leaped to the side then leaned back so the daggers didn't have skin to come in contact with. Jumping back immediately, she circled him again and moved in, swiping one dagger along his chest and one along his ankles in reverse patterning. "Take that."

Two flighty backsteps found him well out of harms way of any of her dagger slashing. Just as she had learned his tricks, he had learned hers. "Take what? That breath of air?" And banter was always a wonderful thing during these little matches. Though he didn't giver her reprieve as he was right on top of her a second later, hooking one of her ankles with his own and hooking an arm in the same manner, bringing her back up against his chest with a dagger pointed at her cheek. "Come now, you're playing cat and mouse."

Malik smirked lightly.
"She'll come. but I think I need to teach Zykariel something about real skill."
and he got up, looking at his son.
"Care to watch?"
before walking over by Zykariel, picking up halberd on the way. he casually took off his shirt, and had Zykariel's previous opponent take it.
"You seem to handle yourself well, but you have that bored look of someone who thinks he is far more skilled than his opponent. So why don't you try me. I promise I will not use any of my necromantic tricks, nor will I use Malvolence. just this."
patting the halberd resting on his shoulder.
"You know that your skill isn't a real match to mine...so I want to see how you act when backed into a corner. improvise, use your head and not your muscles."
twirling the halberd abit before dropping into stance with the bladed end facing Zykariel.

She knew she was caught the moment he managed to hook her ankle. There was no way to keep him from doing so and since he was bigger than she was, she was pinned. His grip wasn't too firm to break out of though and she'd learned just how flexible she really was. "Would you rather play spider and fly?" Ignoring the dagger at her cheek, she turned so she was facing him and hooked her other leg around his waist, bending her head and slipping out of his grasp, hanging on his back for a moment as her daggers gently touched his throat before she planted her feet in his lower back and pushed off releasing her arms at the same time. It was a risky move, mostly because she was throwing her own weight around and if she didn't land it precisely, she'd be on her a** or in a pile of herself. She managed it though, landing gracefully on her own feet a few yards away. "Watch your balance, Raven. Not all birds know how to fly..."
Zykariel stared at Malik for a moment and frowned. Bored look? That fight had been rough from the very beginning. For one thing he'd exhausted a lot of energy pleasing the teachers from earlier and then they'd spent the last hour or so in training with physical matters. He appreciated that he wouldn't be battling against magical tricks and such though, he hated the necromantic art and would much rather stay far, far away. "We both have our advantages and disadvantages."
He didn't really see a way to keep from fighting Malik though truth be told he wasn't thrilled about it. He rubbed his shoulder and shed his tunic as well, then moved into the fighting stance with the scythe. It already was an uneven match. Malik was bigger and stronger though Zykariel didn't know how comfortable he was with the long range weapon. He circled for a moment, staying alert and allowing his natural instincts to give him the boost he would so desperately need.

Malik twirled the weapon around some, before whipping it out, holding hte pole at the end to give it effective range. should the younger drow block the attack, he'd spin the pole and try to pull him forward with an attempt to hook the blade on the halberd on the scythe. if he ducked or dodged backward, the weapon would do a complete circle, and Malik would balance it across his shoulders, using a lower stance. and similar to a person using a pool stick, jab it at the younger drow while balancing the weapon across his shoulders.

If Malik seriously thought Zykariel was attacking first he had another thing coming. He didn't see a point in fighting Malik, especially since he'd already busted his a** with everything else the almighty D'vinn had made him do. Why did adults felt the need to constantly throw out orders and test him? He let his thoughts run free since D'vinn didn't have Malvolence on him. It apparently wasn't at his side, which he found strange. Perhaps he'd chosen to leave it upstairs, knowing a sword couldn't really compete against a scythe. Two different styles of fighting. He was watching the older elf for a moment, memorizing the movement of the weapon and searching for the trails it might take.
His first instinct was to block, which is exactly what he did, slamming the scythe into the halberd before jerking quickly to the right to keep the blades from hooking. He wasn't stupid, his father had curved blades on his polearm. He took an instant step forward, his blood humming with the excitement of the fight and the scythe whipped close to Malik's bare chest before Zykariel spun and slammed the pole end with all his strength into Malik's side, then moved back into a fighting position. One blow wasn't goign to bring this b*****d down.

One nice hit in the side...and a slight chuckle.
"good. you're father has taught you well in the use of longer range weapons."
Malik closed his eyes a moment, taking a breath, before his eyes opened again and he went into almost like a dance, his movements were fluid and easy. the halberd twirled and spun, and then a shot straight out with the but end to the younger drow's mid chest, which turned into a sweeping swipe toward his calf withe the bladed point that lifted up at an angle. Of course Malik wasn't actually getting the blade close enough to cut...before resting it across his shoulder and pool shooting it clear along his shoulders and down his arm in a stab that could skewer...if he'd intended to use proper forced. if he couldn't stop it, the blade would stop probably an inch from his chest..if he could, the impact would shove him back some.
"Have you considered entering the Tournament in Deepwater?"

Hmm, that was praise. Alright he could do this. And then the mention of his father. It was always his father and never his own. It was his father who had given him the power he had in magic, the fighting ability, his mother had provided the temper. But it was always Inthara, the elder one at that. The praise that had a moment before boosted his spirits soured in his stomach and his jabs became more angry than practiced and smooth. Rage leadened his limbs instead of liberating him and he became more and more clumsy, missing blocks that were child's play. "No." That last block he managed to hit but the impact sent him flailing back until he ended up on his a**. He sat there for a moment and then shook his head and lunged to his feet, running at Malik, scythe raised and ready to fight."
