Kelligrin happily took the smaller pieces of bacon and popped one into his mouth chewing before glancing at his aunt. "Upset?" Then recognizing the face she currently was wearing along with the tone he giggled. "Spoon!"

Zykariel remained silent for a moment. The chances of all of that happenign at the very same time were in odds so vast that they weren't even worth mentioning. But Piper was a mother and she worried, just like his did. He glanced up and frowned. "I did leave you a note..." Then he rolled his eyes and sighed. "Just not one you would have recognized. Sorry, Aunt Piper. In my house we live runic notes to let mom and dad know when we're gone. I forgot you look for notes on paper. It won't happen again." Putting on his charming smile. "I'm glad you care so much. We love you too." Thus back to his breakfast as the rest of the lecture slid right off his back.

"Sorry, Aunt Piper. It was our faults really. Zykariel just followed us." Lyssie hung her head for a moment then popped it back up. "You wanna borrow one of my necklaces so you don't have to wear that belt? It looks like it hurts."

She closed her eyes and clasped him to her for a moment, returning his nuzzle with one of her own and burrowing against him. It was nice being stripped down once again and not worried. "I know. I'd say you are paranoid but truthfully, I'm glad you are. One of us has to be." She chuckled lightly and curled up into a rather fetching position that she knew he liked. "Hmm...well, I'm not sore yet, if that's what you're asking. Other than that, no. Feelings, yes, satiation being high on that list and love, lots of love. Feeling, no. I lost track of the places, the duration and the times we had each other last night." Then a raise of her eyebrows, "You do, don't you? You could get up and clean right now, couldn't you? Gods I hate you sometimes." Though it was said in a playful fighting tone.

Malik looked at the girl like she'd just uttered a curse...it would be hell getting that belt off her neck and he knew that.

"She'll be fine...Broog will probably be done in a few minutes and she'll have her own necklace back."

then a glance at Zykariel, pointing a fork with a piece of pancake on it at him.

"And you're making up for skipping out on your schooling to do that race without in the least letting your father know. So you'll be studying with Malikhai, to my standards. which I assure you are much higher than your school."

He blinked at his little eating companion at his uttering over something that was exciting. He certainly didn't think it was exciting when mommy got that look. But his attention also turned to his father as well, seeing as he was done eating...not that he had cleared his plate he had just decided that he didn't want anymore, and was more than happy to suck the syrup off his fingers.

Malikhai cringed lightly. Oh he knew that wasn't going to go over well with Zykariel when his father made that call. After all, when you did your studies in the D'vinn house...you didn't piddle around either. You stuck to it and you went from one thing to another until you were given a break. A routine he was quite used to, but his friend not so much. He flashed his friend a look. "Study buddy, enjoy."

She rolled her eyes and shook her head, knowing that that was the teenage way of blowing you off and not taking a word you said to heart. She would know, she used to do it all the time after all the times she had traipsed off unknown. Though it seemed he was going to suffer anyway, Malik putting forth his own decree. Thusly her attention turned to Lyssie, to which Malik was indeed holding the right look. "He's right Lyssie, I'm fine, no need to worry." Besides, honestly the restriction was part of the feeling she had adapted to. "Now finish up your breakfast."

"Sweetheart, there is always time and energy to clean." Vaguely he knew his house was a mess right now, but he was keeping his cleaning need under control for the moment. He felt lazy for the moment. But he sighed and watched her lovingly for the moment, reaching out and brushing a hand through her hair lightly. "Good...it's nice to hear as such after the months we've been having. And I do believe it was several, with several locales."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:06 am

Zykariel merely shrugged and went back to his own breakfast. He knew it would do no good to fight though his father was going to get an earful later. He was no stranger to working hard, he trained for hours every day on his horse without a break and when he was younger, he'd applied himself to his own magic and polearm studies with the same enthusiasm and fortitude. It wouldn't do any good to point out that today was Saturday and there was no school because he'd skipped Friday for the race. He already knew the school was easier. It was the very reason why he skipped out on his studies so much, they were easy enough to catch up on. "Mom knew."

Faatallon simply remained quiet the entire time, keeping an eye on Kelligrin just in case he tried to get at something he wasn't supposed to. She glanced at her sister and watched the sad expression fill her eyes at the look her uncle gave her. Reaching under the table, she took her sister's hand. "Can we link our parents after breakfast? I think Lyssie really misses them."

"Yup, I hate you." A shake of her head and she nestled it in the groove between his shoulder and his chin. They'd always fit each other well, another plus. "I lost count after seven and a couple of climaxes during each. I believe I was putty by the time we hit the couch and table." She traced her nails lightly over his chest, then reached over him and picked up the blindfold, tracing the cloth over his muscles as well. "These last few months have been utter hell. I can't quite figure out why either. Is it because of Zykariel? Or is it just everything getting to us at once and finding no relief?"

Malik saw the sad look.

"I apologize, Lyssie. Piper's necklace is very important to her. and your just doesn't have the same..weight and choker like qualities. She'd probably be more fidgety and upset with that than the tighter more similar feel of the belt she's using."

Broog got all done with his work, fixing the wear and tear and renforcing it so that wouldn't happen again for a long time. but Broog never sent anyone to get his mistress. he always came to her. So up he got, and lumber himself upstairs, and into the kitchen, with a loud voice.

"Broog Dun Mistrez! Broog got yers pretty Collar!"

Holding it up like it was the Holy Grail on a little pillow.

Malikhai finished up his own food, snarfing it down like any teenage boy would, and turned a look to his friend, watching as he continued to try and make himself in the right of everything. Admirable on the egotistical teenage level that all boys shared...playing with the lion, so to speak and would eventually they would all be running from the claws. Pushing his plate away, he gave a nod to his parents. "Well...I'm done." Punching his friend lightly in the arm. "Come on, sooner we start, sooner we can get done." And well, he was quite intrigued as to what his father had to say soon as he got his lessons done.

Dhairiss however, had yet to learned to like Broog. He was too big for his liking and it was just intimidating on a uncomfortable level. Thusly he watched a moment, got that slightly upset look and duly reached over to his father in the pick me up gesture with a little noise. Broog was from downstairs as well and he had already learned that downstairs was a place he wasn't allowed to go.

Piper shook her head again. Teenage boys, they were a trip. But she didn't say anything to him further, merely let the boy muse in his own thinkings because he wasn't going to listen anyway. Malikhai had those days too and they irritated her to no end. Softly she turned a look to the girls as Malik was apologizing. "Of course you can, I don't see the harm in it." Before ears twtiched and perked at familiar weighted footsteps. If she hadn't learned to control herself, she probably would of squealed like a school girl in delight of Broog's appearance. Getting herself up, she walked over to him, of course patting him on the head in common gesture as she took hold of the collar, which was now nice and shined up as well as looking in better shape. Made sense the thing would eventually start to give...tugged and pulled on, electricity and head conducted through it, friction...lots of reasons. She was just glad it could be fixed without being forced to get a brand new one. It just wouldn't be the same. "Thank you very much Broog. Excellent job. Now you know the rules, you get to have your treat of choice." Oh yes, absurdly happy. Walking back over to her seat and plopping down, turing her back to Malik. "Hair." One of those times, it was all in the way. SHe would ask him to help, but never ask him to snap said collar on her neck himself...after all, it was one of those symbolic things that she had always accepted a collar of his willingly.

Raising a hand, he threaded it through her hair and pressed a kiss to her temple, just enjoying the brief moment they were having together. It was indeed lovely. Though a frown. "I hate that couch..." Demon couch, uncomfortable as hell for any activity really. But his attention was redirected as she trailed fabric. "I think a little bit of everything. And admittedly four kids all at different ages is trying...and we lack parenting skills, thus we get frustrated. Can you tell I do a lot of thinking on this in my spare time?"

Zykariel finished up his second plate of food easy enough and headed off with Malikhai. He had his own work to finish first before he tackled anything else Malik was planning on giving him. His father would approve of that as well, that much he was sure on.

Kelligrin was playing in syrup and mashing pieces of bacon into splinters on his tray. He finished off his bottle and duly dropped it on the floor, calling attention to himself then gave a giggle and slapped his hands in the nice puddle of syrup he'd made by tilting his plate and watching it drip down. Oh yes, he was having a grand old time.

"Okay, I guess." It didn't make any sense to Lyssie but she knew grown ups could be really weird at times. She didn't like Broog very much either since she was positive he hid in her closet at night and was going to jump out and scare her...or eat her. Daddy always had to check through and make sure. Finishing up her food quickly, she tugged on her sister's hand and ran after her brother to get the linkstone from him.

She couldn't help but chuckle seeing as the couch had been his idea which had really surprised her. "I don't know why you don't just get rid of it and get another one. There has to be one out there that's big enough and comfortable enough for you." She sighed softly, thinking on the same things he had already voiced. She'd thought about it herself more than once, wondered if maybe they'd rushed into things for various reasons and hadn't quite been ready to handle it all. "Not at all," she said with a smile as she kissed him lightly then rested her head against his chest, her voice softening. "Sometimes I wonder if we were even meant to be parents. I mean I see the D'vinn boy and our crew is nothing like them. Are you sure we're doing this right?"
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 10:01 pm

Broog went about helping himself, and going back downstairs...he didn't understand why others were spooked by him, and it upset him a bit. made him unhappy. but he got his munchies and wwent back to his little room to do what he needed to do.

Malik picked up his youngest son with one hand and held up Piper's hair with the other with a slight smirk.

"Got it for you."

Waiting for him to do so, she merely snapped her collar back around her neck, reaching back to latch it and make sure it stayed as such. There, felt much better. Collar securely in place, she unbuckled the belt she had had in place, slipping it off. One could actually see the calm that came over her at the familiar state of self being put back to as it shoulder be. An affectionate touch over the metal as she turned a look to her husband and gave an amused look. "You do know...you have syrup all over your shirt now."

Syrup indeed, he had his hands clutched to Malik's shirt, and they had been covered in syrup from him eating with his hands. Not that he cared or think his father would care too much.

A look to Kelligrin as well...who was also having a syrup fest, walking over and duly plucking him out of his seat and away from the mess, trying to avoid sticky fingers as well a sshe turned a look back to Malik. "How about you and me give these two baths and let the boys study and the girls play?" Nodding for him to follow along. "Then you can go do whatever manly things you wish to do before having the talk you want with your son."

"Because I'm cheap, that what you want to hear?" He was just stubborn is all...it wasn't broke there was no need to get a new one and the only one who complained was him. "I don't think comparing children is a good way to go about things. The D'vinns have a certain way of doing things, and the boy's discipline reflects that. Our kids are just fine...and as I've been told before are acting as normal children are supposed to. Long as they're happy, healthy and the like I'd say we're doing something or other right. Life just makes us all stumble sometimes. And teenagers are difficult."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 10:49 pm

Kelligrin was not pleased to be taken away from his enjoyment and he squirmed, pressing his hands to Piper's cheeks and flailing in her arms to try to get back to the chair. "No bath." Bath was one of those four letter words to him, probably because his father was so insistent on giving him one everytime he got dirty.

She just rolled her eyes at that one. He was just silly, her husband. He was going to be flabbergasted when she got him his new couch. She'd already picked it out and nearly gotten the money for it too. Selling off the newest foal would seal the deal and he'd be sitting on a far more comfortable one, then of course they'd have to christen it and things would go from there. "I guess you're right. We're all doing the best we can after all and kids don't come with instruction manuals." She sighed softly. "Teenagers suck and we're about to have two of them simultaneously. Remind me next time I get the urge to have another to watch my timing a little more closely."

"Yes I noticed...I can feel it seeping through the fabric already. but you know...I think we need to take the girls and the younger kids down and let them spend some time with Broog. I don't think he really understands that his appearance is frightening. and it really shouldn't be. besides, I'll wager ten steel that the second those girls see what he does down there, they'll squeal and start asking for things from him. and that'll perk him right up."

Bouncing his son a bit.

"You'll like Broog if you get to know him a bit. I know he looks big and mean...but he's a big pushover. he makes lots of the shiny things like mommy's necklace."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2007 10:23 am

Well he thought it was quite neat the way the fabric darkened under his fingers from syrup seeping into the fabric and was quite fascinated with it, giving a surprised noise when he was jostled, followed by a laugh as little blue tipped and syrup coated fingers grabbed again at expensive syrup hating fabric. A little frown as if he was trying to work through what his father was telling him before triple colored eyes closed happily with a smile and opened once more. "Just like you daddy!" Well...in his opinion daddy only looked big and mean but was really a big pushover...of course the concept that Malik was only a pushover when it came to hsi wife and kids and that wasn't even all the time, eluded the little elf.

She squinted as sticky hands duly plopped on her cheeks, only to have him pull his hands away and leave nice smears of syrup across her cheeks. Oh yes, that was lovely now wasn't it? Though easily enough she delt with squirming, had long ago learned to. "I'm going to need a bath at this rate." Tickling at the baby she held to replace his willfull squirming with amused squirming, and turning a look back to Malik. "I also think dear it's the whole downstairs connotation, the kids know they're not allowed down there and it just adds to something they don't know about. But I suppose it wouldn't hurt to do so. Though don't be upset if any little elves crawl into our bed tonight." Motioning him to follow so they could get bath fiasco over with...would end up with a lot of splashing and the like as it always did and a lot of protest over being dried off, again like it always did.

"Sometimes you wish they did though. Would make things make a lot easier to deal with. Though I suppose that would take all the fun out of figuring it out on your own." Shrugging lightly before chuckling and petting through her hair. "Duly noted, I'll make sure to watch all of the times and such so we don't run into this again." Pressing a kiss to her cheek before giving her a smile. "Come on, we need to get ourselves up...and my house is a wreck."

Bath fiasco indeed. Kelligrin had a very specific bath routine that he expected to be followed every time he took a bath. Lots of bubbles that he got to play in were a must. He preferred Nym to climb in with him but understood when the ferret opted out. He made such a good fish though, actually moving through the water. After bubbles and playtime, Mommy washed his hair while he still played. Then it was time to just play before his hair was rinsed. Then daddy took over and scrubbed him clean while he splashed his father from head to toe. It was his job to ensure they got their baths too. After all, when else would they get one? He had to be fed and changed and played with and that took an awful lot of time. But finally after playing for another long length of time, he'd give Nym a bath (not optional unless of course the ferret knew and ran too fast for him to be caught) and then it was time to get out and dry off. He liked to see how quickly he could get out of the bathroom before his parents caught him since they always left the door open to hear the others. Sometimes he was even sliding down the stairs on his bottom before they caught up to him.

He employed as many of these steps as possible but Uncle Malik and Aunt Piper just weren't good bath givers. He wasn't even scrubbed enough to count as being clean which meant Daddy was going to have to do it again. Shortly after he was finally bathed and dressed, his randomness kicked in and his little head drooped as his fickle mind pushed him into reverie, right on Piper's shoulder.

"I could do without a that fun, personally. A book would be lovely." She laughed herself and shook her head, "That takes all of the fun out of that. I like guessing and trying to figure out just where certain things took place. Runes are lovely for confusing the hell out of you until you reverie and are blown away by your own actions." Groaning, she flopped back onto the pillows and pulled the blanket over her head, effectively robbing him of all covering. "We do not. I'm not hungry and I have no children to stress out over. Staying in bed sounds quite nice." Wrapping her arms and legs around him. "No cleaning. I'll sit on you."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2007 6:54 pm

Great. syrup soaked and now drenched shirt and pants. This is why he let Piper do the bath thing. but at least the big troublemaker in the tub apparently wore himself out, while the other one he had and was keeping him entertained for the moment. still needed to talk to his son. probably a good idea to talk to Zykariel as well.

"At least one went into reverie."

He raised an eyebrow at her words. Admittedly last night was kind of a blur for him, seeing as he's been blindfolded for practically the entire time. "We'll see." But apparently she had other plans and he wasn't going to get a say in the matter at all...not that it bothered him too much. Except his house was still a mess but he supposed there was more than enough time to clean that up later. "Alright, I'll let you win this time."

Yes, unlike Malik she was quite used to geting wet. A bath for a toddler was a bath for the one bathing them too. But she blinked as he plopped against her shoulder and was out like a light. Lucky that. "Well with all that splashing he probably did enough for himself. I think it's just fine." Making sure the little elf was dry before looking to her own son, whom was quite content to splash at his own reflection at in the water. "Get that one out before he makes more of a mess. We'll put one down to rest and the other to play and you can go talk to Malikhai. He should be done right about now."

A smile to his father. "Done with the bath, all clean." Showing his hands because well as far as he was concerned his hands had been the important aspect of it all. Thusly an amused look from the aloof child, his rather short kept silver hair sticking about and in several directions. had had it cut recently...bad experience with something sticky that he wasn't supposed to be into in the first place. Oops.

Malikhai? He was currently in the last phase of his lessons, or more pointedly downstairs with his illusionist teacher. While his parents let him continue on to another study of magic as well as the first, he always came back to his first love of magic. Quite good at it too...liked to experiement, see what he could do and what he could get away with. Currently he was finishing up with the tier'dal woman who always kept tight reigns on him when it came to the discipline. Idly minds made for dangerous magic.
