Anonymooo I forgot about Lumines, and yes, that was awesome and innovative. The people who own PSPs, however, did not find it awesome and innovative, because the people who own PSPs are the same ones who invite me over to play FIFA '06 every goddamn weekend and think Fight Night is a fighting game. xd Fight Night is a fighting game. Unless I'm mistaken, it involves you, -fighting-, someone else. = /
I think you're just sore because the "people who own PSPs" have more money than you.

I think you're just sore because the "people who own PSPs" have more money than you. Fight Night involves BOXING. It, like the Pride and UFC and K-1 (and to some extent WWE) games, are SPORTS GAMES. NHL games involve you fighting someone else, and yet those aren't fighting games. xd Honestly, I never felt the incentive to buy a PSP because I wasn't impressed with what I saw. Yeah, Portable Ops looks like a great game, and I'm a Snake fan, but I'd rather wait for a console title. Playing Metal Gear on the go is a strange idea to me, but then again, Osu! Tatakae Ouendan/ Elite Beat Agents is basically DDR on the go, so maybe there's something I just haven't seen yet. I don't think the PSP holds up to the DS in terms of overall quality of games, even if the PSP is, as I used to describe it, a hardware monstrosity.

And Tekken 5 involves KARATE, that's a sport! Are you saying boxing isn't a martial art Mooo?
IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING?
Because I'm sure there's some guys who'd love to punch you senseless. Fight Night, whatever round it is, is totally a fighting game, because it's -focused- on fighting, just like Pride, UFC, and K-1 (although I only think two of those franchises have video games). You brought up the NHL game 'cause I had faulty wording, but you know what I meant. D =<
And I never bought a DS because I wasn't impressed with what I saw, so I s'pose we're in agreement.
With the DS sucking and all I mean.

Dear God, thick as a brick you are. xd
Boxing is a sport. That is why it's referred to as "the sport of boxing." It's been referred to as "the manly art of self-defense" as well, but in the end, boxing is a sport that relies on guidelines and rules to set it apart from JUST FIGHTING. There are rounds and intervals--separated by boxer class--put in there to allow scoring and pacing, there's a referee to maintain order, there are penalties applied to specific actions, there are legal and illegal actions that can be taken in a specific place designed for the participation of a sports activity.
Boxing is a martial sport in the same way judo, kendo, taekwondo, modern karate-do (not traditional), and kakutou/vale tudo/MMA are martial sports. The leniency varies, but they are still sports, and are properly referred to as such by its participants. xd
And the DS is great. If you actually gave it a chance, you might like it, just as if I actually gave the PSP a chance, I might like it as well.
Edit: Sumo and Greco-roman wrestling are also martial sports, as is professional Muay Thai, which has been changed from a traditional fighting style into a crazy-effective sportfighting style.
