Anonymooo UMDs are what the PSP plays with its measly six to eight hours of battery life. Oh God, go play some cartridge game with crappy graphics on your -GameBoy-, you nancy.

I see now. Well it sounds to me like the UMD would be ok, is sony would put some money into extending their battery life. Then again, that is not any worse that the GBA and it's poor light problems.

Twelve to fourteen hours of battery life. Better games. And it makes for a great conversation piece with the ladies who also own one. xd

Anonymooo A lot of movies are released on UMD, but from what I recall (I haven't followed this in a few months), UMD sales are pretty low. You pay a couple dollars less than a DVD, but it's a better value to just get a DVD than you can play in your living room or on your computer. *shrugs* It all depends on PSP success, and it's going the same way as the PS3, not enough good games. However, GTA's already established a franchise for the handheld, and MGS's moving over too.
Both systems, for their genre, have been expensive, but they're still selling.
We're just waiting for a salvo of awesome games to assault us.

Just like Snake with those damn Russian bodies he's always gotta hide. D =<
And I'unno about you, but I'm not into -trolls-.

I think the PSP has some good things going for it--like GTA, and MGS: Portable Ops is supposed to be a lot of fun. But really, the only games that go through the roof are those titles and any sports game. Awesome, innovative titles like Loco Roco DON'T get picked up by all the ricers who own PSPs. xp

And I'unno about you, but I'm not into -trolls-. Now that's just bein' an a**. For no real reason, either. xd As for Portable Ops, I'll honestly say that I've had more mean-spirited multiplayer during sessions of New Super Mario Bros. than any FPS game. EVER. Multiplayer MGS in Subsistence just aped SC: Pandora Tomorrow, and not in a very good way, but I'd like to see what MGS: PO can really do before I give it a real opinion.

WASN'T THAT AWESOME AND INNOVATIVE? I forgot about Lumines, and yes, that was awesome and innovative. The people who own PSPs, however, did not find it awesome and innovative, because the people who own PSPs are the same ones who invite me over to play FIFA '06 every goddamn weekend and think Fight Night is a fighting game. xd
