The cave is an illusion. It's to throw people off the trail and keep her glen hidden. The barrier is the cave basically

it's through the cave, the cave itself is more a magical illusion that opens up the pocket world the Glen is.

It's a strong magical ward. Larissa is a bit paranoid of powerful beings. You could get in but it would probably take a clever idea or a lot of work. Got anything magical on you?
