Exxos Which is entirely missing the point of why I said that. That if I went there, I could probably GM and eventually ST a LARP. I was never much good at the LARP wrangling aspects, always best in assistance areas. LARP wrangling aspects?

@LARP: I've never tried Larp, but I've done plenty of pen/paper RP and my fair share of forum RP xp I don't think I would have the patience or confidence to Larp. Don't think I could go out in public in a costume xD Cosplay took enough convincing for me.

I was never much good at the LARP wrangling aspects, always best in assistance areas. LARP wrangling aspects? In a LARP, the gamemaster/storyteller, depending on how big and complex things are, has to manage a lot of stuff at times. Including... How did Kev use to put it? Oh yeah, "WHERE THE HELL IS EVERYBODY?! DON'T GO OVER THERE! THAT'S NOT IN THE PLAY AREA! STOP THAT! THOSE AREN'T NPC'S! THOSE ARE THE FLEISHMANS FROM DOWN THE STREET!" So in the circles I went in in those long past days, they called it "LARP wrangling" and sometimes the ST/GM was called the CH, or cat herder, because keeping the players organized and in order was like herding cats.

Don't think I could go out in public in a costume xD Cosplay took enough convincing for me. I'd think so too, but once you start it gets easier. Also it depends on what your costume is: for Vampire my character is a rather conservative scholar who always wears skirts and has thick-rimmed glasses, always has a book, you get the idea. For Changeling, however, I'm a foxbeast, so I have a tail and ears and paws. That and we play in a closed space, so I'm not necessarily wandering around downtown in a tail (unless I feel like it, of course!) Exxos: I told a friend of mine who LARP's with me what you said about herding cats, and he nearly fell of his chair he was laughing so hard! He said it was a very apt description.

@Exxos-Sounds like a headache... not sure I would ever want to do that alone. EVER!!!
I've contacted the local chapter to see how far away they usually meet up. Hopefully they e-mail me back, since I am not actually a member of The Camarilla. I just don't want to pay for the membership only to find out that they meet 20miles away. whee

Also (at least in Canada, so I don't know why they wouldn't do it in the US) there is a 6-month trial period, where you get to play in the games and earn XP but aren't a full member. Once you've fully decided to be a member, it's $20/year here in Canadaland, so I doubt it would be much different there.

This gaia lotto has a wonderful error on gaia's part. It starts listing a jackpot of just over 19 million. By the time you put in 8 tickets, it is about 21 million.
Yet, when you revisit the lotto later, it is back to the 19 million. Is it just an artificial number graphic to encourage you to put as much gold in as possible? If so, that would be extremely disingenuous and misleading.
