:::She looked at Sato out of the corner of her eye, a grin spreading across her lips:::
RC5 couldn't get me drunk enough to tell.
:::She smirked::: It's against the rules, big time. I can't tell you what happens in your immediate, persuadable future.

::Sato shook her head::
No, you misunderstand. I don't want to know what the ******** is supposed to happen to me. Ruins all the fun. I'm just saying that...
::Sato paused::
... you know, you want a drink, feel free.
::Sato made a sour face::
I've had enough for today.

:::Cora tore away from staring a whole into the counter top, and turned her head to stare blankly back at Sato. She blinked once, twice. And then got up to fetch some wine:::
Thanks
:::She said from behind the counter as she filled a glass, and took a nice long drag from it:::

ANYWAY.... Doesn't it get to you, not being able to tell people about it? I can't imagine that things end well for everyone. No way it does for me. But don't you want to try to change it?

:::Cora shook her head after she'd have enough wine to satisfy her for the moment:::
No... it's called the Budler-5 effect. One small change can spawn a multitude of exponentially increasing degrees of effect. Time travel isn't very safe, and neither is sharing information trans-chronologically.

No clue what the hell you just said there, but it sounds like a perfectly logical reason. Doesn't answer my question though.
Doesn't it ever get to you?

:::She thought about Olsen, and the threat she faced when they thought it was her own future she was seeing. After Cora realized that it was another version of her existence, she thought it would be fine. Well, the knowledge didn't mess up Terra. But it certainly had done a number on her:::
Yeah... it bothers me. Nothing I can do though. :::She looked sullen, and took another gulp of her wine:::

::Sato shrugs::
You're the lucky one, the way I see it. Your future hasn't been written yet. Nobody has the book of your life to read from.

The Irishwoman Brinked in right in the middle of a supply unload, made evident by the huge sack of oats slung over her shoulder and the sheen of sweat over her face. She stood for a moment, blinking, then groaned and heaved the sack down to the floor at her feet.
"Blood hell..."
Looking both perturbed and frustrated, the soldier rubbed at the silver cross between her breasts. Garbed in sturdy boots, breeches and a loose white shirt, she felt far less comfortable than the last time this had happened; at least then she'd had full chain mail and her sword at her side. Fingers brushed the dagger tucked at the small of her back, as though for reasurance, before she suddenly took note of the two women occupying the room.
She gave a start, then looked around wildly.
"Sweet Jesus, he's not here again, is he?!"
((Edit: Everyone left! crying ))

:::Cora considered that for a second:::
Until someone from the future shows up... like Kara or Kal. Except they're...
:::She paused, and decided to take a drink:::
They're not from the same time stream. :::She sipped::: Maybe you and I aren't from the same time stream either. But :::shrugging::: there's no way to tell that, is there?

Mmm... :::Cora was quiet for a few seconds:::
Well, one thing is for sure, about my future. It's not going anywhere. Not while I'm stuck in here. :::She sipped::: I wasn't even sure if I was aging in here, since time stops everywhere else... imagine living in here, forever?
