Ho Shin Budokai Tenkaichi 1 sucked.
Havn't played the second one, but the idea on the Wii sounds cool.
Despite having the Wii myself...it dosn't help that no stores are selling controllers or games because they don't have any in stock. I actually liked the first Tenkaichi. It wasn't a great game by any means, but it was fun in the way most new fighters are--you play it with your friends for a few weeks, then it gets put in your shelf and disappears, or you trade it in for something better.

what does a one inch punch do? does that even have enough force behind it to do more than hurt your eye temporarily, or am I reading that all wrong and it is called a "one inch punch" but there is really more distance between the face and the hand when you start the punch?

The one inch punch is a JKD move that uses torque from hips and leg movement, building enough energy in the one hand to whip it out and send an oppenant flying.
I've done a six inch punch before in training, but the one inch punch is mastered only by a few. You can't really rely on strength to provide the force, it's all body mechanics and physics.

It's basically a sudden impact with a sustained 'shove' to send someone flying.
Done without a windup, which is what makes it special.
