:::Kal loosened his grip on Cora, though he didn't let go of her. His eyes fixed on Melliandra. This was all wrong. She was supposed to have sympathy for Cora. It wasn't supposed to go like this...:::

*Mell takes another sip of her wine before answering* Now, darling, I know you're counting on me to save her somewhere along the timeline, here. But at the moment I'm still dawdling about in the 16th century, so I'm afraid you're going to have to try and help her yourself in this instance.

Wh- uuhg. Gods be good. :::he finally let go of Cora::: This is insane.
:::He took a few more glances between them. Neither of them acting at all the way they were supposed to. He felt like they were hiding all the answers from him, and secretly laughing to themselves about it:::
What could I even do..? I can't bring her to my time, that- I'm sure that's not good for the fabric of space and time.

:::If Kal was white in the face before, he just turned clear. His eyes went wide as he looked at the lifeless expression on Cora's face. Where those words really coming out of her mouth? She knew about everything. And to top it off, she didn't care... because she was too drugged up. She was like a Tropo again:::
:::He ran both his hands over his face, trying to coax himself out of panic. A level head would be important now. He had to figure this out. What could he do? Could he relaly bring her to his time? The healers could help her, they could talk to her...
but the thought made him sick. How the hell was she supposed to tell them what she was going through? No one was allowed to know. Maybe.... if he just took the time himself, to talk to her. Maybe he could convince her to stop doing this to herself. Either way... she didn't look like she was in good shape at all. Especially not around all this alcohol either. Which was probably a bad combination with the lithium. Maybe if he just kept her to himself. Didn't tell anyone. He could bring her, there, and then they could fade back, and he wouldnt have to tell anyone::::
Cora...? Would you come with me?

:::Cora's weight shifted as Kal pulled her along. She didn't really have time to think about it. But this was the second time someone was trying to lead her out of the Brink. Why? Because she was helping herself? Was it really that wrong. If anyone should understand what drugs were meant for, it should be someone like Kal, who lived in an advanced enough time. But even he seemed upset about it.
She watched him grab his key, and then pull her towards the door. It was then, again as she came face to face wit that door that it hit her. He tried to pull her again, but her feet froze in place and he jerked back, unable to pull her:::
Kal. I don't think I can.
