Hare nodded as James went unfocused, then hrmphed to himself as he moved away. It was certainly the field here to him, but that was neither here nor there. Moving through the halls, he would collect any of the teachers within and set them to finding and grouping their children. Any immediate injuries were sent to James, while lesser injuries were triaged in the courtyard. When he found the Gennin, he would gather them up and address them.

"Alright, I'll need you all to spread out and find the children who are probably hiding around the campus. Be careful, because they might be frightened that you too are going to attack them. Try to use tact and ease them out. Send uninjured to their homerooms, minor injuries to the courtyard, and anyone major to James. Once everyone's accounted for, meet back at Jame's location, ok?" He nodded once each to Kin, Kamiya, "Knives," and Doc. Once they'd moved, he would make his way back to the main entrance, and relieve Shiroi and Mimiusa. The nearest ANBU squad finally arrived, and after checking in with Alvard began to gather and direct food to the workers and children, with the medics examining lesser wounds in the courtyard.

Once everything had been sorted out, Hare and Mimiusa would join in the search, moving from corner to corner in the building while seeking out frightened and hiding children. As they worked, Al quickly had a thought and summoned a Buune. Writing a message on a scroll, he would hand it to the Buune and quickly tell it it's destination. It would nod once, and vanish in a crackle of lightning.

Indeed, the Suna ninja did fine. They followed their instructions in a time of crisis, and many even played a pivotal role in eachothers defense, calling out areas of danger, incomming attack vectors, and tackling or pushing some of the friends to safety. Once again, it was team work of all parts that helped make this attack not a tragedy, team work San had spent years trying to instill into all the ninja regardless of rank, specialty, occupation, or duty. So in the end, it would be a bittersweet victory as many of the still adrenaline stuttering kids would ask their instructors about "Did San go rouge? Was that really San? Why did Sanshi try to hurt us? Is sensei in trouble?" They may have been ninja, but the curiosity of kids sometimes trumped their better judgement, curiosity that would one day save them. Maybe they should be told the whole situation, with the possibility of it causing a mass panic about their village the welfare of their parents, and their potential future. Or maybe it was best to keep them in the dark, that this was a training exercise, an experimental technique, something other than the fact a homicidal, genocidal terrorist was actually after their beloved home.....

After he'd helped some children find their way, Alvard dismissed Mimi with an apology and a promise and moved with back to the central room, listening in with the rest. He'd already known it wasn't San from the ANBU's network, but to find that it was the same man from his first mission disturbed him. When his turn came, his report was brief and to the point. "After passing along your orders, my summon and I explored the basement storage and outer courtyards for hiding students. We found several, only a few of which had minor injuries, and who were bought to the courtyard medics. After that, we reported back. During the combat, I was assaulted by a similar Iron Sand attack as yours, and fought it off alongside my summon. After which, I reported to you. That's about it. Oh, and I sent a preliminary report to the Kazekage, as my summons allow for quick transport of physical reports." He looked around the room, and settled in for the debriefing.
