There isn't nearly enough in this guild. Gladly 4laugh So how do you feel about the talks of a new series being developed for the 50th anniversary? For Star Trek? -shudders- Not after Enterprise. The new movies are bad enough. Call me a purist, but the second Khan became a white British dude and Kirk was resurrected by superman Jesus blood, I'd had enough. JJ Abrams had no business tinkering around with a universe he didn't understand. If Joss Wheddon had a hand in it though... I can see some Firefly-type stuff going on there, and I would be all for giving that a try. As long as they stick to the DS9/Voyager timeline, or even turn to the EU for inspiration, I'd be cool with it. Just don't reboot the series and then turn Khan Noonian Singh, the coolest, most badass Hindustani character in sci fi, into a white British Jesus, y'know? LOL You know what would be REALLY awesome? Giving Assignment: Earth a second chance. I really think Gene Roddenberry had a cool idea there and it would be something a bit different for the Trekkies and kiddies alike. We should probably continue this conversation in another thread. Want to hop over to the Tabloids or somewhere? (Actually, since we have a thread for music, we should probably have a thread for media, come to think of it... I'll ask the cap about that after work!) So what thread are we going to converse in then? Let's go to the Tabloids for now. I won't be able to make the new subforum until tonight, even if it gets the okay. I don't get off work until 5:30, LOL. Great news! The captain made the new subforum while I was at work! We can post in there!

I don't even like to visit anymore. Reverse culture shock. gonk But on the other hand, I'm glad for the Internet and being able to 'speak' English a lot. xd Glad to have found this place!

About Me: Umm, there isn't much fantastic about me. I'm a college student at Alma College, studying in the field of Psychology.
