She licked at his chin, lazily sated. Keshaya, she whispered, mentally. Keshaya Adaltan. She stretched out, letting her tail stretch to full extension before curling around his leg.

I like the sound of that. Keshaya. I assume it means something?
His hand found her silky fur and he buried it in the softness.
I never would have believed I would be so fond of fur...

Means something? she asked, curiously. She ran a hand along his face, feeling the smoothness of skin that had no fur over it. Yes, they were a good match. She took his other hand, and stuck a few of his fingers unto her mouth, pressing them up with her rough tongue so that the roof of her mouth could get a good taste of him, and she savored it.

Does it stand for something? Some parents name their children after others who were great or give them names that embody desirable character traits.

Is that the case with you? She asked, curious. What does your name mean, then? She loved her tongue against his fingers, not wanting to yield them. She did shift a bit though to n** at the digits playfully, however.

He liked the rasp of her tongue against his skin, so he didn't mind her nibbling at his fingers.

My name is simply the name my mother heard in her head when she first felt my mind. If she named me, I named myself, or the Gods named me, who is to know. It is my name, and that is enough. Sholans do not often name after others. It is only in recent generations history has mattered at all, and to have someone with the same first name as another in the same clan would have just been confusing. Though, I suppose it would be less confusing in the Telepath Guild, where a thought could make clear who is being spoken to.

He nodded, It is good to know that you connect to your cubs so early. My people do as well. It's part of what makes losing a child so hard.

She sat up and put a hand on either side of his face. We will not loose our cubs. I will not let us loose our cubs. her eyes glowed in the lighting of the room, whatever there may be wherever they wound up. We will protect our cubs. Together.

He nodded and leaned his forehead into hers. You are correct Keshaya. We will not lose them.
He grinned at her playfully, So how many should I expect at once?

He eyed her waist and then looked back up at her, "And if we have multiples, I'm not sure how they'll all fit..." His tone was teasing and he smiled at her still.
"You would have a hard time moving, I think."

"Don't your females have a hard time moving as they near the sixth month?" she asked with a bit of a laugh. "And yes, we generally have only one at a time also, when there is only a single father involved," she said with a purring chuckle as she nipped at his ear.

"You won't ever have to worry about the multiples then...because there will be only one father to every child we have. And it will be me." He snorted at the end of his decree for finality. There was no way he was sharing.
