He was silent for a moment, wondering how much she knew about his world's history.
"His Assassin name was Ripper. Each assassin takes one. And each Assassin is tied to a set of rules. It keeps the system legal. But as he would have it, he didn't like the structure. The rules prevented him from enjoying his method of killing. So he began murdering. he killed and mutilated five women before they caught him and de-Classed him. He had his Assassin name stricken from future use."
He took the last bite of lasagna.
"Assassins, like Thieves, have rules that must be followed. One of them was the line between Assassination and Murder. he killed for pleasure and without a contract."

Serena pondered all of this as she finished off her dinner and pushed aside her plate.
"What would your assassin name be if you had taken one?" She asked. "I'd be hmmm," She put a finger under her chin as she thought of a good name. "La Bella Bleu." She laughed as she swished her hair around.

Wife of Eventide Bingo. Jack the Ripper is Celdor's Gr. gr. Grandfather. Also, notice the last name of Shadow. Where have you seen that name before?

Celdor's face grew grim.
"it's a lot more macabre than you think. you see, in order to prevent an abundance of Assassins, they always have a set number. Once you finish your training, you cannot accept contracts or call yourself an Assassin until you gain a name. you gain a name by killing the Assassin with it."
He paused, sighing.
"When you kill an Assassin, within the set limitations, you gain that Assassin's name, as well as all of their exploits. meaning if I killed the Assassin Blade, I would become Blade. All of his kills would be credited to me. All of them, as far back as the name stretches. I would be Blade. I would be the one that killed someone three hundred years ago."
He ran his fingers through his grey hair again. He always hated the Assassin system.
"Every region has specific names that go with it. But not all follow that system. Japan's Ninja Clans work completely different. I only know how the American, Canadian, and European systems work."
He smiled, trying to lighten the mood.
"But that doesn't make them evil. For example, Shadow Allenar, the only Assassin to dare use part of her real name, only takes contracts created by the government, mainly against criminals and spies. no Assassin is evil, regardless of what contracts they choose, because the Assassin's Guild has rules on what contracts the choose to create. And as long as they stay within the rules, they are not criminals. Also, if an Assassin is caught or killed, it's legal. If an Assassin is caught killing someone, even under contract, they're still liable to prosecution."

Serena took all the information in stride, she could tell he really wasn't that keen on the subject. She moved to stack the plates and cutlery before standing with them in her hands.
"You can continue to tell me about it if you wish or you can change the topic, I don't mind. It is quite gruesome and I suppose something we don't really need to talk about at the dinner table."
She smiled lightly as she moved to go through the swinging doors. She looked over her shoulder at him.
"Follow me if you like..."
She walked through and went straight for the industrial dishwasher. The best thing about being head chef and on a ship such as this, you didn't need to do the dishes which was easily the worst part of working in the kitchen. She loaded up the plates and the few others that were dirty and lying around before she pulled the handle down and the cycle begun.

"Yea, it is kinda morbid, ain't it?"
He followed her at a respectful distance, though he was a little irked that he hadn't been able to collect their dishes and the like, before she had. proper manners were instilled in him at a young age. Even Assassins are normal people.
"I'd offer to help with the dishes, but you obviously seem to have it taken care of..."
He felt a little awkward now. He followed her, he was alone with her, but now there was nothing for him to actually do.

Serena turned to see Celdor looking very awkward with nothing to do. She smiled up at him as she waltzed over to him. She came up very close, so that she actually had to tilt her head up at him and poked him in the chestplate. "Why are you so afraid of me, that you have to wear your armour around me? Hmm? Am I that dangerous?" She laughed merrily as she looked back down, her face even with his chest and poked him again. She ran her finger softly across the gold metal biting her lip. "Would you like to help me with something else instead then?"

Celdor suddenly felt uncomfortable, though he had no idea why. He'd never felt this type of discomfort. He shook it off though, as it was probably just his imagination.
"Of course, Serena. What do you need?"
His head cocked to the right in confusion. She was acting rather strange, especially for someone that needed help with something. But, he owed her, for taking care of him after his incident in Engineering. As such, he owed her to at least help her with her strange requests.

Serena looked up into his white eyes. To anyone else they might be freaked out by them but she found them alluring.
"Well..." She looked down again blushing before dropping her hand. She was being silly...he'd never do it. She moved slightly away from him and jumped up on the bench behind her, her hands grasping the edge and her legs swinging softly.
"It's okay, I don't want to make you uncomfortable and perhaps my request would do that to you."
She smiled at him.
"You don't have to stay here I'll probably get some sleep soon. But please come back to visit me again won't you? Don't be a stranger now? Or I shall have to hunt you down and feed you."

Celdor laughed and leaned against the wall. He liked to joke with Se-combeians about the extreme age difference between his kind and theirs.
"Serena, for a woman of 253, you sure do have a lot of energy."
Somehow, the discomfort was linked to her, as once she moved away, it faded. He had no idea what it was, as she presented no threat to him. His Hunter's Sight showed a woman with a kindly aura.
"I'm not tired. I still have an hour or so, before I start getting fatigued. So try me. I've dealt with a lot of things people thought I'd never do. Like jump out of an airlock and float through space to get to another ship."
He'd done that during the War of the Masters. It was one of the reasons that the Se-combeian Royal Guards now trained their rescue technicians to space themselves to get to a disabled ship if need be. They called it 'Pulling a Celdor."

Serena laughed nervously as she contemplated how she should word what she wanted of him.
"Well first you will have to come closer."
She pointed to the space just before her swinging legs. She stilled them and clasping them together, turned them to the side.
"Then...Celdor, I want you to kiss me."
She blushed red and pointed a finger to her lips.
"Here..."

He'd stepped forward and been about to kiss her hand, but froze when she touched her lips.
What is she doing?
The discomfort was back, though he had no idea why. And now they were close again.
"Why? What language do you want to pull from me?"
He figured that must be what she was after. Another language. It made sense. After all, her people loved art and languages.

Serena smiled a little at his comment.
"Ahh, so you have kissed many of us before have you? You're making me jealous Celdor, I was sure I'd be your first."
She grasped the top of his chestplate to bring him closer, hopefully taking him off guard.
"No language..." Serena moved her lips closer to his, but she wanted him to initiate the kiss. If he was a gentleman he'd do it...

He turned red, the discomfort almost unbearable now.
"No, never needed it..."
He felt trapped by her. And it was almost embarrassing. This slender little thing was controlling him, trapping him, making him feel uncomfortable. Without really thinking about it, he kissed her, though it was a close mouthed kiss, more of a pressing of his lips against hers.

Serena pressed her lips against his. They were so big and soft for a man who seemed so hard most of the time. She pulled back a little and smiled before quickly darting in and kissing him again. She laughed a little as she pulled back.
"See, that wasn't so bad was it? Stop making that face! I'm not going to hurt you."
She let go of his chestplate and hopped off the counter to stand beside him. Was he really that uncomfortable?

He exhaled, unaware he'd been holding his breath.
"I'm sorry, I just have this strangely uncomfortable feeling. I can't explain it."
He unclasped the cape and removed the breastplate. He was sweating underneath the chainmail, but he left it on. it'd be inappropriate to remove that and expose himself to her.
"May i ask why you wanted me to do that?"
