"A bit," Lael began. Templum is hidden beneath the sea. It is beautiful. The whole place hums with peace and light and freedom. There are, naturally, quite dark holes to crawl into when you need to find someone who doesn't want to be found, but for the most part, it's beautiful."

The Peacekeeper's words made Karinda long for the place she had called home. Though it felt to have only been a couple months since she had stepped foot within the old Elvin city, she knew well that centuries had passed. The chances that the city still stood were slim at best. Peace, light. freedom; all things her beloved home had normally possessed.

"Then should we not hurry along our feet?" Karinda gestured ahead of them with a flourish of her hand as Lael glanced to the dragon.

"She's not sick, is she? From the fungi?"

"Nay, not that she has let on. Though 'twould be fault of her own if she grew ill!"

Saiirin cast her murderous gaze to Karinda.

Fie on you! the dragon snapped, her words rewarded with a light laugh.

Lael nodded, and as Karinda chuckled at Saiirin she turned to continue.

"The torches are still lit, at least. That means that someone must remember the tunnel. And they have to still be able to get up here. If I remember right, the path will get steadily more treacherous as we proceed. I hope you're good at climbing. There are bits in here that make you wish you had wings."
After realising just what she had said, Lael smiled quickly, her back still to Karinda.
"That work." She added with a shrug.
"In some places there is no purchase for torches, or it's too tight to risk them. If I may, I would suggest that in these areas Saiirin explores first, just so that we can at least glimpse the terrain?"

"Your wings look quite able to me," Karinda said, following close behind Lael.

"In some places there is no purchase for torches, or it's too tight to risk them. If I may, I would suggest that in these areas Saiirin explores first, just so that we can at least glimpse the terrain?"

"'Tis quite an idea!" Karinda replied with a smile.

Quite an idiotic idea! Decline her! Saiirin nipped at Karinda's heels.

"She would be more than jubilant to light our way," she said instead.

No such words left me! The dragon's words rang in Karinda's head as the creature came to a halt. I shall go no further until thou come to thy senses!

You art the one who consumed glowing mushrooms. Karinda turned to look at Saiirin. We have no other place to which we can depart. Now come. I have no inclination to wait for you. She returned her attention to the path ahead.

If I had not a Bond with thee, Karinda... She let the menacing threat trail off as she gave in, trudging behind the girl.

((Sorry, but... I can't much wait for a reply anymore. Got to get Dontee active in the RP again. sweatdrop ))

Dontee's attention is drawn away from a distant sound of multiple people panicking, catching his sharp ears. It seemed easy for him to hear, being that it sounded so unorthodox to the natural sounds of a city for people to be shouting and running away from something. He knew he just had to at least get a glimpse of what is going on, so he glances to Salem to nod. "Sorry, but I must go... I know it's sudden and I hope you can make it on your own back home, but I have something I have to do. Farewell." He says before swiftly running out of the old building and through the alleyways, sticking to the alleyways as to stay hidden, for he moved at an inhuman speed.

He soon enough slows to a stop and steps out of the shadow to arrive across the street from a bar which seemed to have been the central place of which the panic began in. He looks around cautiously; first thing catching his eye is a man walking away from the bar with a large sword mounted on his back. He frowns. He could tell he was a dragon slayer, a major one, but other than that... he was just a human with a big sword, so he looked away, not wishing to draw his attention.

He found the garbage bag behind the man's path quite off putting, being that... well... it was a trash bag lying around, he assumed that humans weren't that messy as to leave a trash bag just on the ground... he thought that the protocol was to throw it all in a bin of some sort to be eventually dumped with other trash while it is to be decided what to do with the trash... and he assumed that people wouldn't just toss away a bag. He shook his head, clearly thinking too much of the bag.

He took a number of steps towards the building, stopping in the street to look at the bar closely, but at the same time at a respectable distance... not knowing whether it would be safe to step into the bar. He frowns, spotting a number of injured and struggling humans near the entrée way of the bar, one of which suffering from what appears to be a stab wound. "Well... at least no one's been killed." He thought as he crosses his arms, his hair blowing a bit in the wind as he continues to look to the bar, wondering what had happened.

Alexander walks on, paying little attention to those behind him. He could feel people look to him as he walked, but it was only natural, being that he is fitted in some armor and does have a large sword, so he ignores it as he continues walking both to distance himself from the scene of the panic and to move toward the next location he had in mind in visiting.

Alyce continued to watch the situation, examining all that came out and stood around the building. What were they waiting for? An explosion? For the entire place to be engulfed in flames? There were no flickers. It was clear someone had thrown some kind of smoke bomb or something like that. And it was becoming clear that no one was killed. Injured, yes. But not killed.

Ugh.

Alyce's cold eyes narrowed when she came to this realization. It was like taking candy from a baby. She allowed an irritated sigh to escape her lips, and she crossed her arms. But then, her expression grew confused. She caught a slightly unfamiliar scent in the air, bringing her eyes to look around, curious on its origin. Her eyes soon landed on an approaching male. He looked human, but he didn't smell of a human. She didn't know who, or what he was. All she knew that she wasn't fond of him, likely wouldn't like being near him, and did not like the vibe coming off him. With a quiet, low growl, she moved a couple of steps to put more distance between them, then continued to watch the thick smoke begin to thin out.

“Perhaps we should see what the clamor is about first?”

Eve considered protesting she could smell a lot of supernatural around and the presence Chaim was giving off didn't make her feel much better.

Her eyes widened, then narrowed as the sent of blood filled her nostrils. She pondered for a second on whether is was safe or not to go check it out and came to the conclusion what ever had caused the commotion had probably left.

Eve sighed and pulled Chaim along towards the bar "As you wish," she said feeling terribly uneasy.

Dontee could feel a pair of eyes look to him, so he casually looks over to her. As he looked to her he realized she held an odd scent... something he couldn't quite put his finger on. He nods to her, regardless of the woman's apparent dislike of him, before looking back to the building.

After a few seconds of thinking over it, he shakes his head and walks to the bar's entrance and looked into the bar. He looks around to see most of the furniture had been tipped over and glass trampled over the ground, just one big mess left from the panicking people caring only to escape. He saw no real evidence of a purpose in smoking out the humans. He shakes his head.
"Why would someone cause such a panic?" He asks himself in a murmur.

Alyce felt a gaze wash over her, ice blue eyes turning to meet the male's. She stared back at him expressionlessly until he looked away, although her eye made a slight twitch when he nodded. His glance went back to the building, then hers did as well. The smoke was nearly completely thinned out now, and Alyce could see a few things from where she was standing. She didn't want to move closer to get a better look. Far too many humans for her liking. Plus, that male was walking over there now. Instead, Alyce turned around to look at the out-of-place garbage bag.

For a few moments, she only stared at it. She frowned in thought, eyes narrowing. What was its purpose? It was clear that it wasn't meant to be there. Slowly, she walked up to it and scanned it closer up. It looked like garbage. But it didn't smell like garbage. In fact, it was quite unfamiliar. Her eyes narrowed more so, and she reached out a foot to gently nudge the bag.

xx"He has yet to come aware of his origins. We cannot allow him to simply stay in ignorance of the.... Thousands, no, millions have come to him. They cannot... Mommy? Mommy! ... Look at you. You once called yourself a man. Now you are just garbage, left to rot on the street. You may spent a life-time discovering the truths of the world, but never would you ever have an actual life to live." Voices, thoughts, ran through Lucius's head. He wasn't sure who they belonged to, or what they where about. But he felt that last one directed to him; it was insulting, and yet, it was truthful. Like discovering your sins; you deny that you did them, but you cannot deny that they happened. He began to think. "What am I? Where am I? Who... Who was I?"

Lucius soon returned to reality, that which meant that he found himself on the ground with a slight migraine... Despite having no brain or blood to do such a thing. He felt something touch him, and without even trying to be subtle, rose up. He stood at about six feet tall, top heavy, and his white mask near the top portion of his body. An eye appeared on his body, looking at the one who had nudged him. The eye soon turned to six eyes, blinking in unison, before being covered with the white mask. "Who are you? I do not know who you are because I do not know you. What is your purpose in bothering me, for what reason?" Lucius spoke in his broken structure once more, feeling a bit too sore to bother fighting or running away from this girl.

Alyce seen movement that was not caused by her, and instinctively took a couple of steps back. A strange creature rose to a stand, much taller than she. A single eye turned to six, blinking in unison, staring at her before it was covered by a strange mask. A low, quiet growl was emitted, staring at... Whatever this thing was.

It began to speak. Or at least, what could be considered as speaking. Everything this thing said was broken up. By the sound of the voice, Alyce could tell it was male. If it wasn't for that, she wouldn't have been sure what it was. ...Although, figuring out what kind of creature this thing was could still be a problem.

Alyce thought for a moment, trying to piece together the speech and figure out what this thing was trying to say to her. She watched it in an almost calculating way for a moment before her lips parted to speak in her quiet voice. "Alyce. Curiosity," she said as a simple answer to what it had said. An answer to the 'who are', and the 'purpose in bothering.' It got the point across. Could this thing blame her? It was a garbage bag in the middle of.. Where ever the hell she was. She stared at the mask that had been placed over his eyes, face emotionless.

Dontee slowly turns from the door, but glances into the bar from over his shoulder as he began to step away from the bar, but then his head turns sharply as he spotted and heard sudden movement. The 'garbage bag' was now a standing creature, which made him smirk slightly, being glad to have not stepped on it or anything. He, though, frowns when he hears its broken speech from the door of the bar. He got the jist of what it spoke to the woman, which was quite expected, having been nudged it wanted to know who and why.

He steps back from the bar to stand a distance from it and then looks to the woman and the creature to watch them, finding them more interesting than the building. He keeps a few feet from both, as to keep his distance... for the women seemed displeased with him and the creature... was off-putting. He raises an eyebrow to ask the creature
"... Are you aware of your... unorthodox speech pattern?"

xxLucius gave something akin to a sigh. Though it sounded more like a hiss. "Well, there is nothing to be discovered here. I have no business with you, unless... No, no. Away with you." Lucius was trying to be mysterious. He didn't exactly trust this girl, but then again, what girl in her right mind would be near someone like Lucius? That said, the girl's curiosity made Lucius curios; who was she, this Alyce, who would not be scared at his sight, and seemed more intrigued? Then again, he himself sometimes find himself quite strange as well. If it were not he, he would have captured and dissected someone like himself in the name of knowledge. Lucius shuddered. "Urg. I do hope this girl does not wish to conduct experiments with my being. As curious as I am about what I have become or who I originally am, I would prefer to discover whilst still breathing, for what ever definition of the word would apply to one such as I." Lucius raised his mask and looked back at the girl. "Why are you still here? Do you find me fascinating? Do you not find me repulsive?" If Lucius had the facial capacity for it, he would be scowling at the girl. Instead he would have to settle with his mask awkwardly facing the girl, as it he was staring. In truth, he was actually starting to feel a familiar presence near by, one of great power, but he has forgotten whom this could possibly be from... Then he turned his attention towards the other, one who also seemed to be of no fear of him. "Great. Another. And of what business do you have with me that you would insult the way in which I convey my thought verbally?" Lucius had forgotten that his speech patterns where broken, due to his mind deteriorating.

Dontee crosses his arms. "Evidentially not..." He thought, seeing as the creature continued to speak in the same fashion. He could tell by the way some of the words came out a bit of what was asked, though still couldn't fully understand all he spoke to both him and the woman who claimed to be named Alyce when asked by the creature.

After a short moment he shrugs his shoulders.
"Well... I assume, by your distorted speech that you're asking why I am talking to you?" He asks before answering his own question as if he had said 'yes'. "... Well, let me answer your question with another question... If you were in my shoes and you saw what you suspected to be a garbage bag, in appearance, outside of a smoking bar stand up at a good... I’ll say six feet tall… and then begins talking… Would you not be curious and wish to speak with the talking creature?” He asks with a small frown.

Alyce tilted backward slightly at the sound of the hiss, unsure of what to expect, or what it meant. Was that a warning sign from this creature? When he began speaking again, she thought otherwise. Again, she pieced together his words, trying to figure out what he was saying.

Away with her? Who did this creature think he was? A louder growl was emitted by Alyce, but calmed when he began to speak again. She took in the words, and thought about them. After figuring them out, her eyes narrowed slightly. Why was she still here? Ugh, this thing was irritating. "Fascinating, essentially," she said quietly, though in a way that would make it clear that she didn't like the way he was speaking to her. She stared at his eyes when the mask was raised, face void of any emotion still. She felt a gaze behind her, but wasn't about to look until this thing stopped staring at her. Soon it did, and she whipped around at the sound of the other masculine voice.

Indeed, the one from earlier. What he said, however, Alyce couldn't help but let the slightest smirk form at one corner of her lips. The creature responded to the other male, and Alyce's attention went back to it. Her lips parted once again to speak, but the other male began to first. She turned her head ever so slightly to listen to his words, almost as though memorizing his voice, before her eyes once again set on the creature.

xx"Allow me to demonstrate how I feel about your hypothetical observation using a physical motion you my have knowledge of." Lucius moved his mask downwards and formed two eyes where his mask once was. Then he rolled them from one side to another. He rolled his eyes. The situation was similar to the one he had previously thought of; of how he would be interested in himself, though he would prefer to do so while still living. "My responds to the situation in which you think I should be planted within would be much more different that that which you may have chosen. Should I had met with a being like myself without being one such as I am, I would be quick to gather others to investigate this creature within a controlled environment. However, because the situation you have stated is simply hypothetical, and there for only able to happen within chance, I see no reason to why I would not instead be in fear of this creature. Your curiosity is understandable. Your acceptance to it intrigues me. Lucius raised his mask back so that it looked as though it was staring at Alyce. He was quite sure that he had Alyce's attention focused on the mask, like a moth to a flame.

Though they did not realize it, yet, but the entire time they had been within his company after hitting the ground, he was draining them of their life energies. He took it in small dosages to prevent them from noticing, but within a few hours, they should be sluggish and unaware to their surroundings. By this time, Lucius would find them again, and consume them for their life energies, to replenish his whim for food after suffering that impact which had temporally rendered him motionless.
