Damien commented while waiting for his food.

"Of course." Jian replied, vaguely remembering last time. He had to drag him out kicking and screaming because he was so drunk. "I'll make sure we don't expose ourselves this time."

Monica had gone from Damien's office just a while ago but had her coffee from a nearby dispenser. She was quite pissed that Damien left immediately after saying something about wearing a uniform. She went back to the dining hall now to meet up with Jian and Damien. Of course, it was a good thing Damien didn't mention anything about mistresses so it wasn't much trouble for Monica to talk to him without slinking away sometime in the middle of the conversation. "More alert? How about I go with you?" Monica said, coming into the room. "And absolute leader, I'm pretty sure you remember the promise you gave me about uniforms when you gave me this position. Sure, I love my obedient little dogs but if I have to wear a uniform, I can do without them." She said, sighing. Of course, by this time, she was still one of the empire's biggest sponsors. Sometimes, she would finance and supervise empire projects just because she felt like it. It wasn't that she felt untouchable but she had a lot of back up plans even though she was within the empire itself.

"I don't think it would be that big of an economic loss." Jian said bluntly. "After all..." He smiled. "I sent researchers to that barren land to the west to test why nothing will grow there. I wanted to see if we could turn it into farmland for more food production for the people, but it turns out there rocks there are under too much pressure. I'd be very surprised if you don't know what they discovered next... a massive bed of precious stones under the surface, including diamonds. And since that property is still government property, it seems as if we won't be having budget problems in a while. Happy early birthday, Damien."

Shadow let out a sigh and looked at him. "One day you'll be a great leader, but there is something you must realize... the crown is the head that all others hold up, but when the head falls off, everything dies. Instead of selling it, why don't you go back and try using it? Motivational Speeches, Organizing Research, Economic Control, Military Power... these are all tools in your pocket. Tools that Damien also has, and has been using to his advantage. As you can see, everything's under his full control. Still, you can use them in different ways. For example, Diethelm is an industrial country because most of the land is not farmable, and most of the livestock that they depended on in the past is not enough to feed all of their people. They have been taking over neighboring countries and using their land for producing food, but until they can improve farming, they depend on trade with Helmshire. That's one of the many reasons they haven't attacked yet. Influencing the trade market can put heavy strains on the Diethelm Empire. The reason trade hasn't stopped is because it will bring inevitable war, which we are not ready for. Did you know that?"

Saiyu gritted her teeth as she pulled the shard of stone from her knuckles. The cuts wernt perticulaly deep but concreat sticking out of your skin was still painfull when pulled. Tugging the exess ribbon off her shors Saiyu wrapped it around her hand, fishing her communicator out once more.
"Shadow fang this is is Ally cat just to let you know the riots cleared up but the wolves are travaling in packs now" Making her was down the ally way the red head hopped the small fence at the end and carried on strolling into the opposit street that the rioters had once occupied.


Jay cocked an eyebrow at the leaders out burst, it was true most of the officers had left the hall but it was a slight over reaction, especialy considering most of the were inafectual any way. Shaking his heaad slighty Jay stood from the table and bowed his head "exscuse me my glorious leader i have some things to take care of" inclinging his head in jians direction Jay turned and walked out of the dinning room, a smirk adorning his face.

Damien twitched slightly with one eye and a couple fingers at what Monica said to him, but felt relieved when Jian made his own comment towards her. He always knew he could depend on his friend. However... "Thank you for the compliment, but this is still public. Please still refer to me by my title, Chief General" he said. He ignored Jay completely because he just didn't want to deal with him for now. He turned back to Monica. "Oh, so you want to come too. Why you want to hang out with your Absolute Leader more often? Well, I'm sure you already have an alias. You are after all, Chief of Secret Police" he stated.

"Oh, Sorry. I apologies, Glorious Absolute Leader." Jian replied, feeling embarrassed that he slipped up like that. He thought he had gotten into the habit of calling him by his title rather then his name, but apparently not. Jian was surprised that he invited Monica, but he was indifferent to her coming along. He just hoped that she wouldn't make a scene like the last person they took along. Damien executed the man for starting a bar fight, and nearly hitting him in the head with a stool.

Monica clenched her fists, seeing Damien's comment as a vague first step towards the 'be my mistress' conversation and felt the need to get out of it immediately before the absolute leader could actually put it in his mind. Trying not to be obvious, she replied to the leader's comments first especially now that Jian was still with them. Monica was pretty sure Damien couldn't take things the other way if his friend was present. She sighed, "I'm bored. Do you know how few rebels were caught this week?" She emphasized with her index finger and middle finger held up like the number. "TWO." Twirling her hair with her index finger, she continued. "And your torture chamber has been pretty much empty for who knows how long now? However, I do appreciate your sending the rioters to the interrogation camp. It would be my pleasure to supervise over there." She smiled with a chuckle. Then, she nodded, "Of course I have an alias, beloved leader. And I'm afraid you wouldn't recognize me until I introduce myself." She grinned. Of course, this disguise was best for luring men and torturing them later but that was only when she was absolutely desperate... And bored. She then attempted to back out of the conversation saying, "Jian, I think you remember the plan I told you in the elevator. Maybe you could appeal to our dear leader better so I ask of you to speak of it in my place." She sighed. "I'm a little tired. If your greatness will excuse me... I think I'll visit the secret police headquarters and go home."

Kyrell grimaced, looking at Shadow before he replied softly, "No." Then he admitted, "But Shadow! You know I fail at that stuff. Father would be ashamed if he saw the scores my palace tutor recently gave. Royalty and official business..." He clenched his fists. "...They're not for me."

Jian raised an eyebrow. He could tell what she was trying to do, but he didn't like that he was being dragged into it. He was tempted to call her out on it, but he decided against it. He simply waited patiently for Monica to leave. As soon as she was passed the doors, he turned to Damien. "She wants to torture citizens without track records until they spill information on the resistance." he explained simply.

"Is it that you tried hard and did bad, or was it that you didn't care and daydreamed about being here the whole time?" Shadow asked. "Leadership is a gift, and you have it. The thing is that you have to understand enough about your decision to make a good one. A lot of the decisions you've been making make you seem irrational and impulsive, which makes many question weather or not you went on a whim or if you even thought twice about it. And when you're king, you have two options: you can either learn it yourself, or you can spend the rest of your life depending on the information that someone else gives you. I assure you can always trust yourself, but you can never quite trust what others tell you."
