Vivian made it about halfway to the school she had broken into the day before, before she realized that the other Shifter would be permanently stuck in one position until otherwise told. As unhappy as she was, she figured she might as well grow up and take responsibility for it. Plus, the other girl had food and money, and, as far as Vivian was concerned, that was reason enough to not rid herself of the girl. Sighing, she ducked into an alley, shifted into her fox form, and ran back to the home, hoping the other girl wouldn't be annoyed or upset.

Vero waited impatiently but decided to use her time for something productive: remembering the British national anthem.

Vivian got to the door to the room before shifting back and opening the door. Sneaking back in quietly, she called for the other girl. "Vero? Are you there? Er, well, I guess you kinda have to be, don't cha?" She rambled slightly.

Vero was sitting exactly as she had been. She watched Vivian with her eyes, silently pleading to be released from the order that bond her to immobility.

Looking sheepish, Vivian commented, "You can move again, if'in ya wanna."

Vero sighed and draped herself over the sofa, stretching. "My God that felt like a life time!" She looked over at Vivian. "Thank you for coming back."

Coughing and scratching the back of her head, Vivian shifted her weight so it was all on one foot. "Yeah, well, don't mention it. Just, y'know, forget about it. Not actually! I only did it because you have food, 'kay?" She refused to look at the girl now draped on the couch. This whole thing just a lot more awkward, she thought.

Vero smiled. "I'm sorry you're in this position but don't awkward about it." She got up and went out to the kitchen to inspect her pitiful excuse for a supply of food.

"Yeah, well, that's easy for you to say, isn't it?" Vivian mumbled quietly to herself. Following the owner of the space, she asked, "Is there anything I can eat? I have to go help out some people with their clothes at the lake..."

"Ummm...." Vero grabbed the milk carton and inspected the expiration date. It not going bad for another two days was a little sketchy so she sniffed and it found the scent acceptable. She sat it on the counter and pulled down an unopened box of coco puffs and a bowl. She assemble the three and added a spoon. She handed it all to her master. "Want me to come with you?"

Accepting the bowl, she glanced at the spoon, guessing at how to use it. "I mean, you can if you want. We're just washing clothes, and probably bathing. We do it every week, remember me saying?" Giving up on using the spoon, Vivian used her fingers to take out the cereal piece by piece and lifting the bowl to her lips to drink the milk.

Vero nodded. She tried to keep herself from laughing at Vi's lack of ability to use the simple utensil. "You could bring them by to use the machines down stairs, and my shower. Probably more sanitary than a lake."

Blinking stupidly at the girl, she tilted her slightly. Vivian wasn't sure anyone would be too happy with her if she offered. They were all used to doing everything at the lake. "We've been doing it there for years, though... It's, you know, normal... And... A shower...?" She chewed her lip, uncertain at the term.

"I'll show you when we get back." Vero laughed. She wondered if she'd ever be able to break her into living in the modern world, out of living as if she were in the wilderness or on the street.

Stretching slightly, Vivian licked at her fingers and wiped her hands on her top, guessing Vero was coming along with her, after all. She turned toward the door, looking over her shoulder at the girl. "Just make sure you can keep up on the way there," was the last thing she said before opening the door again, shifting, and sprinting down the hallway, nothing more than a blur to most eyes.
