ROUND 3:

TOTAL HP: 0

At first it seemed as even the combined efforts were not enough. The figure simply stood as they were, pendant dangling tauntingly in front of them.

As something finally flickered into existence.

Though it was still fading in and out of visibility, the curved edge of the blade down to the runic markings on the strange weapon were clearly, obviously visible. The weapon itself hummed just like the pendant, swinging to absorb the straggling Fear attack made at it owner before coming to a hovering stop.

The figure clapped as finally, all the attacks stopped; the pendant stopped glowing, and all the students who were victim to its spell earlier suddenly felt the energy being drained of them twofold. "Ahhh thank you, I needed that recharge for my weapon." The stranger bowed. "Well, I appreciate your time students, and your beautiful Fear you provided for my weapon - you do have to say, it was much more powerful than anything you've ever made before, I mean seriously, what has your faculty given you in the past? Snowball machines and bits of laundry to fend yourself? Why do you think they avoided teaching you the good stuff?"

They looked at their wrist. "Anyway, time is money, and I think my little apprentice got lost on the way, gotta fetch him and all. Oh, don't look at me like that kids, you did good and you beat the bad guy! Here, have your loot, wouldn't want you to feel unaccomplished." They simply grabbed the bagged (and struggling) item with one hand and tossed it at the closest student, as a portal opened up from behind them. Once again the image was crystal clear: that of a strange blue sky and a large white tower. "I have a feeling I'll see you all again. I look forward to it."

Whooosh went the forest around them as the figure collapsed into the portal and disappeared.

The bag was still left behind though: the strange muffled voice coming from it sure sounded familiar. Kind of like the detention sort of familiar.

Unfortunately, Riley missed out on hearing the entire speech, and dramatic exit, of their pseudo-villian. It would have been interesting to hear, had she been conscious for any of it. The only change she physically exhibited was the sudden rush of air her body inhaled as it started to breathe again. She was currently unable to respond to Christof, or Jericho, but please leave a message after the beep and she'll get back to you when she's back in the conscious world.

Beep.

As he waited for Riley to show some signs of life, Jericho faltered some as he suddenly felt incredibly drained. Looking up, he saw what looked like a scythe of some sort with the stranger. They were facing a reaper? Furrowing his brow in confusion, he felt a spark of anger at the practically mocking speech the guy had given them all.

"Dammit..." he growled. Oh how he wanted to try and beat that smug guy to the ground, but he had gone into the portal already. Aside from that, he heard what sounded like breathing come from Riley.

"Riley?"

She was definitely breathing again, which was a good sign. The dragon gave her a light nudge to see if that would awaken her at all. If not, he'd have to try and take her to either Nurse Cricket or back to her own room.

The world around her swam in blue tinged streamers for a minute or so, and Yaya could do little but lay in Sharra's protective grasp and watch the treetops above her spine unnaturally. She felt boarder line ill, completely dizzy, and on the brink of passing out all together. That in and of itself didn't seem like that bad of an idea, all things considered.

Fingers curled loosely against his sweater vest, the djinn turned her head to rest a little more squarely on the boil's chest, legs drawing closer. Had they beaten their opponent? Was the danger gone? She wasn't sure, and that unknown was enough to make the ghoul hold onto consciousness for handful of seconds more. "Did we win?" The question was barely above a whisper, but the young man holding her would no doubt hear it.

She wouldn't hear him if he answered though. Vision finally going black under the crashing waves of exhaustion that were smacking against her. The would around her faded, and the last thing she remembered before falling unconscious was the comforting grip of her nergal holding her safely, and the beat of his pulse beneath her ear.

Nyyrikki was somewhere within the group of students, and he felt like... unpleasant things that might be found in the other bathroom.

He breathed heavily, his usually-tan face sickly pale and beading with sweat. As soon as the figure had disappeared, he'd lost energy tenfold. It was enough to make him want to be at the nurse. His stomach churned, his hands shook, and all he could do was sit forward on his knees nd clench his stomach. It wasn't that he was going to be sick. Rather, it felt like he just had - and quite badly, at that.

"Nnngg . . . " Aksaja made a low noise as just about all of his energy seemed to drain out of him, sinking down to his knees quite without realizing why. Then the figure's words filtered through to him, and glanced up, glaring. "a*****e . . . " the lightning dragon snarled, the anger giving him just enough energy to look around.

Ah hell, it seemed like the energy drain happened to all of them. He rather quickly spotted Jericho over by a collapsed Riley and golden eyes widened. Pushing himself up to his feet - as, after all, he had some experience with continuing on whilst hurt and/or exhausted - Aksaja made his way over to the two.

"What's wrong with her?" he asked the other dragon.

Quite frankly, Junko had fallen asleep. The excitement of the battle was too much for her in her half-conscious state and she had collapsed when she was hit again, laying there completely unconscious. The belladonna had definitely been a bad idea. As a result she missed the end of the fight and her chance to use her FEAR, something she was actually rather grateful for considering she didn't want to risk hurting herself.

She woke up in time to ear the tail end of the figure's speech, propping herself up on her elbows with a little groan. "Whatappened?" She grumbled groggily, looking bleary-eyed toward where the figure had been. Looked forward? What did he look forward to? Creepy. She crawled out of the uncomfortable bushes and got up unsteadily onto her feet. Ugh. Her head hurt. Junko winced and rubbed at the side of her head, wanting badly to find a bed to sleep in. She'd just have to venture to the nearest friend's dorm, or miraculously get to her own.

Yes, that sounded like a plan. She'd love to sleep while cuddling her foxes.

She had several spots throbbing at this point as well as her head. Especially her back and the foot she had...kicked agianst a rock. Jack damned rock. Violet eyes were narrowed and hoping that their attacks had been enough. Especially since they had gotten to use their FEAR.

When the extra energy they had been given was abruptly taken, the she-wolf staggered and felt her legs give out. LW unceremoniously fell onto the ground with some sort of annoyed squeak of a sound. Could...could they just go back to their rooms now? With no more incidents. And she swore. She swore if they all had to get detention AGAIN?! She...she groaned and let her tail curl around into her lap.

Looking up and to the sides, she checked to make sure that Ren, Alessa, and Gabrian were still...in one piece. "We all still breathin?" She asked tiredly.

"Ughh..." She groaned, flopping to the ground like a rag doll, sitting on top of her own legs with her skirt spread out around her.

They had lost. The cloaked figure had used them - used their FEAR as a way to recharge... A weapon? Either way, they had completely and utterly lost; that much, she was sure of. It filled her with anger to know what the cloaked figure had done to her friends and schoolmates, but she knew that it was their own fault for using their FEAR when they were clearly not ready for it... If not for the fact that she felt too exhausted to even climb up from where she was seated on the soft grass, however, Lizzy might had continued attacking.

She tugged on Jimmy's temporary leash, dragging the half-conscious Reigndeer towards herself before cradling it in her arms, placing her chin on the top of its maw, avoiding the Minipet's antlers, "Its fine now, Jimmy... We can go home soon, promise." In response at the word 'home', the Reighdeer let out a soft whinny, cuddling closer to the Demoness before looking up; it felt a lot better now, at least.

"Arachne?" She looked around for the Spiderkin, her voice soft and weak; she had a feeling she would be here for a while... Eying the wiggling bag, she frowned; the scarf she had seen peeking out earlier...

"Someone needs to release Mr Arel..." She spoke out loud, although her voice was still pretty faint, she tried to get people to listen to her as she pinted to the bag the strangers had left behind. Of course she would do it herself, but... Her legs were not listening to her.

Arachne had passed out when the figure had drained all the students that had previously been energy boosted. She had not had to use her Fear before today, and so wasn't used to it, and hadn't been able to take the drain.

She had flopped to the floor, eyes rolling back, limbs limp. After a few moments, and hearing a voice coming from seemingly far away, she started to stir, colour slowly returning to her face and her eyes refocused. She couldn't yet get up, and so continued to lay on the ground.

After the display of abilities from most of the students, Daisuke felt drained. He felt uneasy in his solid state, so much his limps were leaking out in to a foggy mess, thus returning over to the tree he was hidden behind when first wandering over to the commotion. He gave a sigh, resting his back against it.

Letting his eyes fall neatly over to Bella, he wondered if she was feeling the same, uneasy, wobbly. Most of all, was she alright? They had been used, without even realizing it. How naive they all had been, to listen to the figures rambling. Who was it anyway? Didn't matter, he had ran smugly away from the scene, leaving them with no doubt... A load of trouble that would follow from this event.

He looked over the other students, falling to their knees and waking, talking amongst each other if they could, but all he wanted to do was stay in this spot until he felt motivation to move again..

Malodore stumbled forwards as the miasma it had managed to conjure was sucked up wholesale by the strange weapon. And then, just like that, their opponent had made its (highly stereotypical, in Malodore's opinion) final speech and... vanished.

The plague doctor hadn't managed to produce much FEAR to be sucked away, fortunately for it... but it could tell those who had given their all had been much more seriously affected. Riley in particular... but Jericho and Aksaja were there, and Malodore trusted both dragons. It would only be busy for a moment, and then it could go to Riley's side.

Quickly, Malodore went over to the struggling sack and fiddled with the top of the bag, trying to open it and free whoever was inside. It sounded like Arel, at least. Sort of.

Christof gave a small squeak when the dragons had come to join him at his Mistress's side, his face frozen in terror. Had Jericho heard him speak?? His face had shifted as though- no matter, no matter- he was wobbling, more spines and scales from his residual fear power attack beginning to withdraw into his overlarge left arm as he gingerly dragged his Mistress's head in his lap, hugging her protectively. She couldn't be dead! She couldn't! She was the best Mistress he had had yet! Tears were pouring down his face as he glanced up to the other boils desperately as nothing seemed to wake her. What should they do??
