Tai nodded, also breathing in the smell of the outdoors. He quietly watched others moving about pointing out the beautiful scenery. Once Tai looked forward again, he say a huge fountain. He looked at it in awe. The water splashed down on the silver cement, looking like it was a million tiny crystals. "Wow..." He muttered, scanning it up and down.
A Loud yawn drifted from Connor's mouth as the bright yellow cab pulled up at the curb of his new school. He shuffled though his pockets and pulled out a small wallet with crimson embroidery on it forming a rose. He pulled out a couple bills and handed them to the cab driver.
"Thanks Miss!! Very nice tip too!" The cab driver told him, he was yet another person who had mistaken Connor for a girl. He merely nodded and opened the door. He strode the the trunk and pulled out a large black suitcase, with the same embroidery that the wallet had. He also lifted out a small pink backpack and gently shut the trunk. With a small wave, the Cab driver drove off to leave Connor standing in front of the school. The wind blew vigorlessly through the air sending it to flow across his face.
He slung the backpack around his shoulder and stepped over the sidewalk and onto the path leading to large doors. He glanced at the gardens surrounding the path, and stepped into the doorway. Silently, he listened to a couple girls ask the way to the Co-ed dorms and made his way. He stepped in and rushed passed the different doors, scanning each one for anyone inside, and his room number. "8-0-5" He said to himself, reading the door number in front of him. He could hear someone's close past within the door. He quickly cut himself off and gently knocked on the door.

Jean smiled and began to walk quicker toward the fountain. "Come on, let's check it out." he said as he walked. When they reached the fountain, he splashed his hand curiously. The water was cold, and it felt really refreshing to his skin, which had the sun beaming on it for a while already.
Hyde had just dropped his bags on the floor by the bed on the opposite side of the room from the door when he heard a knock. "Come in." he said loudly enough for the other to hear from the other side of the door. It looked like he would meet his new roommate sooner than he expected.

Tai Followed Jean to the fountain and watched as he leaned over and splashed his hand into it. Tai followed his lead and placed his open palm on the top of the water. It was cold, not freezing, but still. Water wasn't quite his 'thing'. He sighed, lowering his hand so it was completely under water. He leaned over the edge and looked at his and Jean's reflections. As he did this, a huge just of wind blew at him, altering his balance. He leaned in towards the fountain and *Slash*.
Connor twisted the silver nob and the door creaked open. Inside, he saw another boy standing by a bed, he wore fairly dark clothing, and Connor couldn't see his face yet. "Nice clothes.." He remarked, a bit of sarcasm was placed in the remark. He gently closed the door and walked towards the opposite bed and leaned his suit case against the side of the bed and dropped his backpack upon the pillow. "Very... dark.." He smiled as he turned around. "But you are pretty cute..." He smiled, now seeing his face. It was slightly pale, but it looked soft. Connor looked over his glasses at him again, still grinning. "Yup.." He re-assured himself.

As Tai put his hand in the water like Jean did, Jean felt good in a weird way. It was like he had a little brother mimicking his every move. His heart-fluttering stupor, however, was ended when Tai was suddenly blown into the water. Jean was going to help him out, but he felt a very large rise in electrons and neutrons above and below them, and a drop in pressure around them. He quickly stepped back from the fountain, and just as he did, lightening hit him directly in the chest, sending him flying and back-flipping back several feet, and he landed painfully on the grass with a large thud.
Hyde didn't know what to expect when the door opened, but when it did, his heart dropped. It was a girl...and she was awfully....pink...He didn't like girls in general, and preppy ones were even worse, because they never understood him, even before his mutation developed. He was ready to leave the room, especially when she sarcastically commented on his clothes. However, he didn't leave, because something was...off. Her voice wasn't right. It was a boy.
The second remark came, and it was a genuine compliment of his looks, and the voice was confirmed as a male voice, though it wasn't the most obvious difference. A small tinge of rose-red played at Hyde's cheeks, and when they continued to call him 'cute', his pale cheeks grew more vivid in color.
"Thanks...dude." he said, with a slight hesitation before deciding to trust his theory that the roommate was a male. "And thank you. You don't look too bad yourself." he added. He felt like thanking them, and it would still be kind of rude if he didn't compliment them back, but he didn't really think they looked good. They looked too much like a girl. But saying they didn't look BAD wasn't a lie. They weren't ugly, they just weren't his type. "My name's Hyde, and you are?" he asked.

When Tai looked up after he fell, he saw a large flash. He quickly leaned over the edge of the fountain to see Jean Lying on the grass. "Jean!" He called, worried about what had just happened. Forgetting about everyone around them, he rushed out of the fountain, dripping wet and over to Jeans side, hesitating at first. "What happened?" Yet again he was Shocked by Jean's overall power, and what had just happened to him.
Connor smiled gently sitting on the bed. He looked around the room at everything that was there, which was not much. It was a pretty boring room overall, but he could dress it up with some paintings... "No Problem, I only speak the truth.." He answered with a smiled. "Hyde... I like it...." He mumbled, reaching for his backpack and opening it.
"Connor, pleased to meet you." He answered, pulling out a pencil and a small book, the pages were all filled with rough sketches. He started to scribble on one of them, the lines were all sharp and jagged. Hyde...His past was horrible... He said nothing while he was sketching, focusing on trying to sympathize what had happened to him. He leaned his head in his hand and he drew, trying to stop the headache.
"Do you like paintings?" Asked, looking up at him, but still sketching freely.

Jean clutched the back of his head as he sat up, grunting a little. "...I'm fine." he said. "I got some good distance, huh?" he asked, just adding a cheerful feel to a shocking moment. He then stood up and brushed off his body. "Sorry everyone." he said, apologizing for the noise.
"Nice to meet you too." Hyde said with feint smile. He was then a bit confused by Connor's sudden artistic inspiration. He was going to ask what he was doing, but he had once heard in school what happens when you interrupt an artist at work. "Yes, I like paintings. I think Picasso is especially great." he said, scratching the back of his head. Picasso was one of the only painters he knew, because Picasso was known for his 'twisted' artistic style, which related to the way Hyde sometimes felt...twisted.

Tai knelt down beside Jean, even though he said he was fine, Tai was still worried. When Jean made the remark on the distance he was pushed back, Tai couldn't help but smile, but he still thought that there was no way that Jean could be okay from THAT. He shook his head a bit, drying it from the fountain. He stood up along with the other, and stood beside him, kind of hiding from the staring faces.
Connor looked down on the page again, the jagged lines connected from across the page, but soon he began to draw softer lighter lines intertwining with the others. "Picasso..." He mumbled, looking at the page and then back up at Hyde. He tapped the end of his pencil on his bottom lip. "When I was younger some people said I had a somewhat similar style as him. All surrealism and abstract, also symbolism..." He sighed and shut his sketch book. When he had time, he would paint his sketch for Hyde, maybe it would get him to not dwell on the past. Connor was sure that he had to, with the past that he had...
"What else do you like?" Connor asked, raising an eyebrow. He was curios about Hyde... He was sure that his clothes didn't quite reflect his personality, but he had to make sure, instead of jumping to conclusions.

Jean laughed and scratched the back of his head. "Uh...let's get going." he said, walking off through the crowd and toward the academic building.
Hyde shrugged. "I like just about all types of paintings, as long as they all have some kind of meaning behind them." he replied. "In fact, I like all forms of art, they're pretty much the only things that make the world worth seeing, or hearing."

[(I know! It's getting me worried!)]
Tai Quickly nodded as he quickly followed Jean away from the staring crowds. Once they got out, Tai took in a huge breath of air. He hated it when people stared at him, it was always so nerve wraking and embarassing. "We...We're magnets for trouble.. aren't we?" He asked, looking down at his feet.
Connor smiled, he was glad the other liked paintings, he was acutally very relieved. "Well, thats good, I'm hoping to paint some and put them up." He smiled. He sighed, there was an aquard silence in the room that he didn't want.
"So... Do you do a lot of Art?" He asked, relating the question to the subject they were recently talking about so that he didn't sound so desperate to break the silence.

Jean smiled. It was certainly an eventful day. The best part is, he wasn't in any trouble for what he just did. "Speaking of magnets..." he said, using his electric powers to change his charge to negative, and giving a nearby light poll a positive charge, magnetizing himself to it, standing on it horizontally, defying gravity.
Hyde's eyes shifted from side to side during the awkward silence, though his eyes were barely noticeable behind his silky black hair. "I draw..." he replied quietly. He was a bit shy about his work. "I have my book in my bag...if you want to see." he offered, knowing that Connor would probably ask anyway.

What Jean did, Tai didn't expect at all. He understood that he could control electricity, but he wasn't aware that magnetism counted. He watched as he walked up the light post. He figured that he had to do something to top it... Without thinking, he clolsed his eyes. Large gusts of wind blew inter him and lifted him a foot or two above the ground. "I guess this doesn't count as magnetism..." He sighed with a shrug. He started to lower himself to the ground, and he walked over to the lamp post and looked up at Jean.
Connor perked up when Hyde mentioned that he drew. He wanted to see his work, but he could tell that he might have been uncomfortable with it. "Sure... But only if you want to show me." He smiled, hopefully making Hyde a bit more confident. "You're probably very talented..."

Jean smiled and walked halfway back down the poll, before jumping the rest of the way. "Cool, you can fly. I wish I could." he said. In theory, if he were strong enough, he could probably make himself fly north toward the magnetic north pole, but he doubted he was that powerful, and how the hell would he get back? The south isn't magnetic.
Hyde nodded, putting his messenger bag on his bed next to him and beginning to search through it. "Maybe. In my opinion, I'm just a copy cat. I can only draw what I see. I can't just create imagery off the top of my head." he said as he finally pulled out a black sketch book. "Here we are." he added, gesturing for Connor to sit next to him as he opened it. Inside were detailed pictures of the Sphinx, The pyramids (including the Pyramid of Giza), the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, The Golden Gate Bridge, the Lincoln and Washington Memorials, and other great landmarks.

Tai smiled a bit. "...I won't really count that as.. flying...." He mumbled. "It's sort of like hovering... that was probably the highest I can go...." He smiled, but then got a bit serious. "If you want... I could try to make you 'fly'..." He mumbled, a bit of weakness in his voice, but he thought Jean would like the suggestion.
Connor quickly stood up and sat beside Hyde, very interested to see what type of sketches he had. Connor leaned towards Hyde, giving him a better view. He was amazed, every little detail, every shade every part of all of his pieces were perfect. "Wow... Your the excact opposite of me... I can't do still lives at all... I just draw what I have on my mind...." He intently observed every sketch thouroughly, he had never seen any still lives that detail. "You're amazing too! Everything looks like you put every bit of your talent into them!" Connor smiled, seeing the sketches somehow made him exilerated and content.

[[sorry for that incredibly short post for Jean]]
Jean smiled widely, and seemed to bounce on the spot. "Oh wow, would you?" he asked excitedly.
Hyde shrugged. "I'd rather be like you. What if I run out of things that I want to draw? What then? You have endless potential, and can make art wherever you are. I have to go everywhere just to draw." he said. However, he smiled when he was complimented. "Thank you." he said happily. "Oh, and sorry if the Pyramid of Giza is a little smudged, it was hot out there and I was sweating."
