He reguarded that outburst calmly.
"and if you'd seen what became of Miragul, you'd understand me. Miragul was littlerally, the most dedicated and diverse mage in norrath. only Al'Kabor surpassed him in raw power. as tie grew on, as he aged, he because obsessed with cheating death. eventually he found a way. Lichdom. it's a very complicated spell, and he tried and failed. others however have succeeded. how many centuries have you lived? hwo woudl you feel knowing that no matter how strong you are, how skilled you are, that simple time was going to destroy you. the fear of it, and not knowing what might come after. Or perhaps, he was so desperatly in love with you, he wanted to never leave your side?"
Then a small smile to Tanundra.
"apology accepted. She is below Deepwater, far below it. past them general mining areas into a place the slaves fear to go. he's been building a small force of undead..so I hope you can do somethign in your human form that can fend agaisnt them. your dragonic one won't fit."

Alaran brought one eye up to regard D'vinn closely. Her eyes as about as alrge as his head, and it seemed so smirk as it watched him. But we aren't in Norrath, are we? It is therefore, of little significance. Blackbowman did not fear death, he was already long lived as it were. She drew away. Snorting a bit of flame.
Ton is long dead. And sadly not by my side. No, he rested with his goddess of a mother, didn't he? The Goddess and that aweful she-thing. I will relay your request as promissed. Although she didn't seem all that happy aobut it. With that, she spread her wings and with a powerful thrust of her hind legs she was airborn.
Tanundra didn't chukle, didn't even smile. Under Deep Water? And he had thought the drow had sometihng to do with it. My human form can do many things. I am far from defensless.
I had suspected the drow, as his scent was the only one in my mistress's chambers.

"The captian is not so stupid. Nor would he take the Oracle, knowing what guarded her. You're nto some human he coudl easily trick or some beast he coudl easily slay even with his wizards and shaman. This...captor, as you stated, was undead. only necromancers and shadowknights know that kind of magic, and I don't he is of my league of people, nor a necromancer. and I doubt seriously he's a Lich using some kind of illusion."
A small smile at Tanundra.
"Drow don't play with dragon's ire. Time is better spent playing with humans and other drow down here. He may have consulted her, I wouldn't doubt that. help him plan his assault on Dimitri. But kidnap her, hardly."

Tanundra listened intently. Agreed. And yet I am confused. Even the dead have a smell, perhaps sometimes more so than the living. Who could mask such a smell? Or indeed, leave no trace to the fact that it existed?
He snorted. It may be to my advantage to have a word with this drow anyway. He was the last to speak withe Meilikki before she was taken. Perhaps he saw something.
He turned an eye on D'vinn. Besides a possible audience with the mage my sister is currently employed with, what advantages to you gain, by giving me this information? You don't seem the generous type.

"What advantages don't I get? I get the Oracle to owe me a favor, for helping save her. I get a chance at more powerful necromantic powers through her captor, either by studying what is left or killing him with Malvolence. He has a lair under Deepwater, which means if I take it, I have a place in deepwater only you, I, and the Oracle will know about. a nice place to hide in if need be, or strike from. or give to allies to use. such as the kits of Cymarron, or Bode's father. and of course, through the Oracle, I get a favor that may get me a Dragon on a moment's notice if I need one."
A chuckle lightly.
"And if the meetign gets arranged between me and the Magi, and the magi are more concerned then your sister lets on, I might get a favor out of them as well for my assistance in her rescue."

Tanundra chuckled. You mean assuming that Meilikki will choose to owe you. I'd say it is you who owed her, D'vinn. She did afterall, provide the antidote that has allowed you to live. not that he won't enjoy seeng Malik try to get a favor out of her.
You MAY get a lair out of the deal, assuming I don't destory the place. We MAY be the only ones who know about it, assuming none of the living have been there, or that they aren't in the royal archives. He rested his great bulk on the ground, letting that from which he was born to replenish his strength.
As for my assistance in any matter, I suppose it can't be helped, assuming of course that the need is great enough/ After all, I'll only be comming once, you'll want to make good your...summons.
As for my sister...I do not know what the Magi do these days. We have lost contact, unfortunatly. The academy does not look kindly to my oath, and would prefer to think think that I should have joined their cause.

"Most magi do. they want the biggest and most mystical beings on thier side or at thier service. as for Meilikki, I don;t owe her a favor, Piper does. and Piper will be making due on her end of the bargain, and I'll help her with that. the lair..well..I suggest you be good to it. judging from what I gathered, smashign around it it coudl bring a healthy chunk of deepwater on your head. the other part...you may be right. but a little know lair is better than none at all."
Watchign the dragon, and idly thinking.
"if this person, and obviously he does, knows how to use or force the oracle's gift, how do you plan on getting in or stopping him, Talundra? adter all you are among the living, and subject to her gift."

By extension, Meilikki saved your life. Piper merely got the anitidote for you. He gave a shrug. But see it however you wish. The Oracle will decide if she does or does not owe a favor.
He shook his head. These magi are decendants of Ton, the First Mage. And while you may have...certain "blessings" for lack of a better word, Ton was the son of a god. I do not tihnk I need stress the fact that most of them don't need help, Oracle or not.
Tanundra cleared his throat. If the man, and I am only assuming that it is a man, really has figured out how to force Meilikki's gift, then he can't afford to move her. She must stay absolutly still at all costs, otherwise the spell will be broken. He waved a claw. It has sometihng to do with the uncertanties and changes of the future. Move the Oracle and you obscure the seperate images, cannot tell one from the other. If I can't get him, the least I can do is get Meilikki.

"You underestimate necromancy. It can bring down even the mighty dragons. necromancers can manipulate the line between life and death. he coudl kill her, ressurect her and keep her at least. and like I said, if it is Ton..he'll be just as powerful, if not more so."
He shrugged and nodded lightly.
"Power is not restricted to the greatest being in dragonkind or gods. just remember that."

Okay...so to anyone who wasn't used to Malik's ways, or better said, the ways of his sword, they could assume that he was either telepathic to others, or he was simply talking to himself. Of course she didn't know of the conversation and only caught Malik's end, she wasn't that too lost on the subject. Besides, anything that was really important, Malik usually told her about anyway. So her attention stayed on horses...or really Nerian really. While Serino and Nightmare pretty much had snorted at the dragons and took to bothering and picking at each other the way they usually did...Nerian was more or less freaking out and Piper was taking to calming him, whispering soothing words in her own tongue to the Zephyr while Malik conversed with dragons.

It wouldn't make much sense to kill her. Meilikki sees only the futures of the living. Dead she'd be useless. Still vulnerable to the ways of necromancy I suppose, but her gift is designed to die off when death creeps in, so to speak.
Tanundra chuckled. You are speaking wiht a very old dragon, D'vinn. I know quite well the words you speak. I lived long, been through more battles then scales on my back. He grew quite a moment, thinking about how different life was then. Everytime you turned a corner there was some all powerfull being, yet here the powerful were more stretched out.
Tanundra stood. I cannot waist time with idle chatter. A little bow of the head. My gratitude for your information. Oh, and congradulate your fiance for me, since I am unable to do so myself And like his sister he spread his wings, thrust himself into the air, and was shortly only speck on the horizon.

A chuckle, watching Tanundra fly off.
"perfect. lets see how the new ruler of deepwater will handle a dragon in his midst that isn't the most pleasent mood. and if I can get the magi on my side..I can effectively neautralize that damned captian's crew or wizards."
a look at Piper, gesturing her over.
"Tanundra say's to congradulate you."

Turning her attention from a now settling down Nerian, she looked to Malik and blinked at him in that questioning fashion. Congratulate her...on what? Right off the bat she could name a few. So instead of questioning it she took it as an all inclusive to everything she could possible be congratulated for, be it from being engaged to winning a tournament event. Worked for her. So Malik was given a smile as she ran her fingers soothingly through Nerian's mane again. "I see. So...I take it that all went well with the dragons then? Seeing as everything is intact and everything alive."

"Would you take that out of your mouth? Fore the love of darkness, we've been in civilization less than five minutes and your making an a** of yourself!"
"Wat ah wath ungreh"
"I said spit it!" Jaun smacked his brother in the head, making Jell spit out the show he was currently chewing on. The owner of said shoe then gave the duo a frightened stare and ran off. "See now, how are we supposed to pretend to be like real people when you go an do something like that?"
"I must admit, I thought you would have picked better costumes..."
"Well it's too late for that isn't it!"
Jaun had indeed, chosen bad costumes. They looked like young men, about eighteen, and Jell's bad eating habits aside lets take a look at their other atrubutes, shall we? Well, the horns were the first dead give away, the devil like tails the second. The clawed hands? Maybe, although those could have gone unnoticed with gloves on. They did wear odd clothing...Jell had jeans and a plain white t-shirt and Jaun had kahki pants and a black t-shirt, I mean who in Deep water was usesd to this stuff? Okay okay, last dead give away. Wings. Bat like things, tiny and utterly useless. "Look, I didn't know we were gonna land here, okay?"
"Yeah well next time, I get to pick the worm hole, okay? You totally took the wrong exit."
They walked through the market place, touching this and that, getting ugly stares for touching this and that, getting swatted at by an old lady with a broom for comming near this and that...it wasn't a good day.
"Try and keep things low key, Jell. Don't start eating shoes and what not."
"Not even one?"
"Not even one."
"Well, why'd we come here anyway, if not to eat a few shoes?"
"We weren't planning on coming HERE now were we?"
"I suppose not. Oi! Can we cause a bit of trouble then?" He held his fingers up beofre his eyes, making a little space between thumb abd forefinger. "Just a little bit of ruckus?"
Jaun smiled. "Well, since we cam all this way and ran out of gas to boot...what the hell?"
A happy little squeal escaped Jell's mouth.

"Everything is fine...and hopefully e'll get soem new friends out of the deal. and I have another plan running myself. If Tanundra can't pull this off, I will."
A smile to her.
"So, what is your father planning to do for now? and we have to get that horse to calm down. He's far to skittish, and it's not good to have anything that skittish around a nightmare."
