Hato felt the same feeling as before, but this time could not interrupt it. Intrigued, he wondered how he could feel the chakra, but not be able to change it in any way. He could seemingly tap into the chakra whenever he wanted, but to break circulation rather than release it was proving to be quite difficult.

Hato realized that as he tapped into the chakra, there were definite points in his body that reacted. He tried the chakra flowing through his limbs first, hands and feet. Disappointingly, they didn't react as before, but it was a start. He moved on to the next body part with high hopes. At least he knew what to do, at least.

Moving on from the limbs, he went to his heart to head area. Immediately, he felt the circulation cut off and he realized that maybe it was the thought of breaking the flow and the concentration to do it that actually made it happen.
He thought back to what he was doing before and realized that his concentration on trying to do it, then the second time on what he was doing before had allowed those past successes.
Holding his head high, he tried again.

Almost as if to counteract his previous success, he could no longer feel the chakra.
*Is there a system to this? Perhaps I can only break flow once every few minutes.*
To test this theory, he sat down and meditated for a few moments before his next try.

After resting for a few moments, he got the same result as before and thought that maybe time wasn't as big a factor as he thought.
*Maybe it's concentration, and not time and rest.*
Going back to extreme focusing, he thought long and hard about breaking circulation, but in the end, it just wasn't working.
*What am I missing?*

Breathing in, Hato relaxed and tried it once more.
He felt the energy flowing through him, and once again thought of the pinching act as before, and it worked!
He had just successfully broken chakra circulation once more. Bursting with pride, he wholeheartedly poured his energy into the next try.

Getting too excited, he tried to do the technique too fast, and ended up just releasing more chakra through his hands.
*Well that obviously isn't the key..maybe it's a combination of relaxation and focus that allows me to do the technique..*
Hato breathed in deeply a few times to relax himself, but right afterward tensed his muscles in preparation of the next try, believing in himself and his abilities.

Using his relaxation/tensing exercise, he successfully cut off his chakra from himself one more time. Thinking he had found the secret to the success of the jutsu, he breathed in again and tensed his muscles, relaxed them, and retensed them in preparation of the next try, and the next.
*I'll do this until I get it right, every single time!*

It was working! His concentration and relaxation technique was paying off, and he cut off his chakra circulation once more.
*Finally, I'm starting to get it.*
Hoping that the use of these techniques and his recent successes weren't a freak accident, he tried once again to experiment if he was 100% right, or if there were more factors in the jutsu.

Disheartened when the jutsu didn't work, Hato thought back.
*It was working wasn't it? What changed..*
Pondering it, he tried to relax and tense again, just to see if it was truly not as foolproof as he would've liked.

Further along in his experiment, Hato once again failed to stimulate his chakra system.
*If it's not tensing and relaxing, what could it be?*
He tried to focus just on the relaxation again, and breathed in and out, in and out. His focus was waning with all the past failures, but he tried to keep his confidence and his resolve up. He was determined to get this jutsu right.

In a relaxed state, Hato felt as if he was closer to his chakra system than before, but no immediate reaction was revealed to him when he felt his chakra pulsing through his body.
*How do I break my flow?*
About to try another strategy, he took a small break. Sitting down, he contemplated how much longer it would take to learn the jutsu.

Standing back up after a few moments, he was invigorated with energy. His break seemingly powered him up, and his confidence was through the roof.
*I can do this!*
Going back into the trance of the pulsing in his chaka, he immediately felt a chakra node open and close.
*Success!*

Again, he tried to reach into himself to break the chakra flowing through every part of his body. Again, he successfully closed and re-opened a chakra node and excitedly, he was ready to do it again. Hato thought back to his past experiences with training like this, where he had failed so many times, only to pick up his spirits and continue with his training, and that's exactly what was happening now.
*No matter what, I'll get this jutsu, even if it takes me a week straight!*
Building up his chakra, he prepared for the next attempt.

Hato got into a stance this time, excited for the success that he was predicting would come, but his joy was cut short, as he couldn't repeat his past wins. Disheartened again, he had missed another critical factor in the usage of the jutsu. Obviously, with such hit and miss training, he was doing something wrong. Determined to beat his own self-pity, he got ready to do it again.
His stance was wide, his hands ready, and his mind sharp. He was ready to do it perfectly, but doubts ran through his mind.
*It's not concentration, relaxation, tensing, or even confidence. What could I possibly not have tried yet?*
