*leans forward, resting his elbows on the bar* Yeah, I started coming back about a week and a half ago. I hadn't been here since April sometime. *smirk* I got the summer off without this place.

Have ye very much time left there, before ye finish yer schooling? *She still has only a vague idea of how the education system in his time is set up, but she can only respect how much work he's had to do for it* Ye seem te have put quite a great deal inte it thus far.

I have another year left. *blinks and adds* Of undergraduate anyway.
*explains a little* College usually last about four years for most people. There's a number of classes you have to take, and once you do that, you graduate. When you graduate, you can show employers that you've gone done work to get your college degree. *shakes his head* And not everybody goes, for all different reasons. Some people just get their high school degree and get a job from there.
I have another three years of law school after I graduate, because that's what I need to get the job I want. *sits back* The good news is I get summers off. *looks around and mutters* Even from this place.

*Luke appraises her for a second.* What about you? I know you grew up in the 1500's, and it's not like there's a college you can go to. But you probably had someone .... to teach you to do the things you're doing.

How te tend to the house and the animals, sewing and cooking and the like. What most mothers teach their daughters, I suppose, and ... *she trails off, looking away, and then back* Well. I am very glad for all she taught me.
