"I could tell you why, but your husband is listen." He said devilishly, "But, I never was one to seek out romance." His joke probably would just cause irritation, but if he could not be himself, this would not go very far. It seemed very difficult for the Twilight to accept people for who they are. "I have gone out of my way to help you several times, even to go as far as to help you escape Lloth, but I abhor weakness, and you show it so often, so blatantly, yet I have never tried to kill you. On top of those things, you are a drow woman. If you were not important to me, I would have killed you long ago."

"Llothian drow males never can accept weakness in other drow, especially women. It goes against the vary core of my being to let one such as you walk so freely. The only conclusion I can come to is that You must be important."

"Then again, amongst the three Drow in this room, you probably understand emotions the best, being allowed to have them as a child." Emotions were quickly whipped out of a younger Kimmuriel. Hell, he couldn't remember anything about being under the age of ten that didn't involve the sting of his sibblings' (and mother's) whips.

"So... Before we get too paranoid and delusional, we've established I can't kill Sevilin and wont kill Zahara. Which means, I can only parley with you using kind words; as threats are meaningless."
PostPosted: Fri May 11, 2007 7:26 pm

Someone's thoughts probably weren't entirely clean, but Sevilin merely reguarded the other drow with a stoic look. Even if he found the information about him helping her or whatever interesting...he didn't know, Zahara was here before him. "So by your own circular reasoning...she's weak but you haven't killed her, because apparently someone made you the reaper of drow, so that means that she must be important and not only important, but specifically to you."

Right. At least he was able to follow that...not that it made anymore concrete knowledge. "Okay, no killing established...so why don't you jsut get to the point then?" He had a kid to soothe as well.

She nodded...how come it had to be so easy for kids? "I know...can't go with things left unsaid and still hurt feelings. We'll say our sorries and make up." Was it wrong to blatantly lie to a child when it was in his best interest. ZAhara probably wouldn't be so easy to forgive for this one.

"If only you were this direct all the time, many of the hardships you face would be nothing more than minor disturbances to your life. Or perhaps, I bring out the strongest part of the being which is Sevilin."

"I am here because the last lead on the murder of Meilikki is the account of verbal assaults on her well being. One name appeared many, many times on that list, especially around the time of her death."

"Guess Which name that was?"
PostPosted: Fri May 11, 2007 7:38 pm

"Because Kimmuriel never just comes to the point."

Malik reguarded the frow prince with an absolute poker face. yes he was there to check on Zahara a moment and get to hear the verbal abuse from Sevilin on it.

"As to the late Oracle..to be honest we all thought you had killed her. as you are the only one we know about that would seek that and be able to walk idly past her new familiar without so much as a bark from him."

then back to Zahara.

"you called Piper something you shouldn't have to me. though I will take blame for you injury, as you were apparently too preoccupied to jump out of the falling tree. but I still will have you help."

then back to Kimmuriel.

"the Breakers are simple minded. and I'm sure you have some or more items of power to help with you getting by them."

She blinked for a moment again. That implied something to do wiht her body and one of those times Kimmuriel had held and/or touched her. That was interesting, now wasn't it. Should she thank him for finidng her attractive? Well, his next sentence squashed that. "So you wish to kill me but you can't because I must be important. I am not weak..." At least she didn't think so. Impulsive sure but what young elf wasn't, as Sevilin often pointed out to her. Her gaze turned to Malik and her face turned frigid. "I have no desire to see or talk to you. Go away. I made my deicision and until I change it, it's still no."

"Well that's good. As long as you know that then you and mommy will make up and everything will be alright." And all would be right in his world.
PostPosted: Fri May 11, 2007 8:07 pm

"No, you don't particularly. I just don't like people talking in circles and like to know that I have it right the first time I hear it." Shrugging his shoulders lightly and same stoic look. Meillikki? Eh, didn't concern him, didn't care about that particular subject or pay attention to it really. And then Malik joined the party...but he expected it.

As for Malik he didn't say anything right now. No point because frankly he didn't want to hear the input Kimmuriel may have on it. As the drow had stated, he got his nose in other people's business. A look to Zahara though. "You do attract the most interesting attention as ever still."

She merely gave an affirming noise to the boy, leaning back in her chair with both of them casually, an arm around each. Oh Gods she wished things could be as simple as a child saw them.

"Sevilin, you have my sympathy." Kimmuriel couldn't help but say that after Malik's intervention.

"Well, if you really did not wished to be blamed for something you did not do, Malik, perhaps you should chose your words more carefully when you are feeling like causing someone harm. Should that person appears deceased and none are found to be blamed but the one who has the sharpest tongue. Do try and prove that it was not you, when so many people [only drow are people, and most drow personally heard Malik threaten Meilikki] know that you do have the power to kill her, and you were willing to do so. So why then, should we believe someone who was in Vesandor was capable of doing something in Honoursfield?"

"Zahara, It was my mistake to bring up something you do not wish to address at this time. As I apologized before, sorry."

"Congratulations on discovering the source of my power Malik, Try and figure out how far its reach goes and you will be rewards with an insignificant truth."

"Keen observation, Sevilin. Zahara does tend to attract the strangest of company."

"Because Piper stays my hand. I won't lie about it and say I never had any ill intention toward Meilikki. the very idea she blackmailed my wife into a quest to restore a surface we want nothing to do with irked me. but, to strike down Meilikki would be to upset Piper and that is something I have no intention of doing."

a slight smirk.

"We all assumed after your rise to a deity, that Meilikki would be killed, or wiped off this plane. your feelings for the woman were plain as day. But if it wasn't you, and it wasn't me, the killer remains elusive. I couldn't get near her in hostile manner without her dog alerting everyone in the building. which means if I did the deed, I'd have to go through Sstrl, Cedric, Aella, Onyx, young Tarathiel, your dragon pet, and the other elves. as they all live, then it couldn't be me. though I seriously wouldn't mind having did away with Orko. he's just annoying, even for a human."

A slight shrug.

"Perhaps the new mistress of the house would have better answers. form what information Piper knew, some daughter of hers, Delta was it, is taking her place as mistress of the house."

though a slight smirk at Kimmuriel.

"but, with Meilikki gone, and you as well having renouced your godhood...and I going to have to wory about your ship and crew getting back together to make this area of the underfoot a madhouse again?"

"I can't help it." She looked around at all those in the room and blinked a few times uncertain just how this had all happened. "Not a problem Kimmuriel. Don't worry about me at all." Crossing her arms she began to brood since clearly Malik wasn't going anywhere. She ran a hand through her hair and nearly screamed. Her hair was practically standing on end and she had leaves and twigs and dirt and blood all over her. in other words, she was a sorry sight for sore eyes.

"Don't need it." Sympathy...that was such a nasty word in his book. And well...he was Sevilin. Generally once you got under his skin a time or two with things like...you know, trying to kill him...he wasn't very forgiving after the fact. "Point the fingers at Twilight, how very typical." Shaking his head and merely giving a noise of affirmation to the next statement given to him by Kimmuriel.

Though he dare say he did almost laugh at the look on Zahara's face. First brooding and then shock over how she must of precieved how she looked. A tilt of his head to her. "Why don't you get cleaned up...you'll probably feel better and Zykariel won't take too calmly to see you like that."

"I never realized you were so powerless as to not get passed all those defences undetected and murder Meilikki with the greatest of ease. I over estimated your abilities, yet again." Kimmuriel replied honestly. "If it wasn't me, and it wasn't you, It must have been someone else." Honesty from the drow sound like a lie. "Just because Orko is useful to me and you are not is no viable reason to find someone annoying. Even though he is a human, I have seen few elvish mages of his calibre. An overlord would have greater appreciation for people who are talented. Sevilin here, is just as beautiful, though, without stealing away Zahara first, I could never have him work for me. Apparently, three times what you pay him is not enough of a raise... Maybe, obedient clones of Zahara would do the trick, but that is just too lowly of an offer." Someone had a very pragmatic way of judging people. "Sevilin is wise in not listening to the seductive lure of a serpent, as I would appreciate his services far too much for his liking."

"If I could find my ship... Instead, I must rely on what is here, which is far to little. Though, I find that druid who passes through here to be much to my liking. Such a useful person should be watched carefully, less another overlord snatches him up with greater rewards..."

"No... I do not think I shall re-take to the seas. Nor do I feel overly imposed to arouse another force capable or reshaping the world."

"Then again, that depends. I know of three kingdoms that would be very difficult to sack for Triel, stronger kingdoms than Elantis which took two-hundred and eighty-seven years to sack."

"Anyway, since my return leaves you with much to ponder, and the conspiracy which struck down Meilikki unresolved, I take my leave."

Kimmuriel walked calmly out of the fortress and into the night.

Malik's eyes hardened lightly.

"Could I have. probably. but where is the fun in that. I enjoy battle. I don't sneak around like a serpent."

Walking out shortly after Kimmuriel did. Really, Kimmuriel should have known that. Malik used the frontal approach, sword drawn. While he could sneak around and have assassinated the woman, assassination wasn't his style. and Orko...was entirely too arrogant and flashy. which is annoying in the same way Zahara was annoying. talented, but that stubborness and pride just made him want to crush someone in his hand. that drow always had a way of aggravating him and having him second guess everything.

So to his wife, and the children.

"Zahara is fine. Sevilin is fine, Kimmuriel is back."

Taking a seat and biting into an apple.

Casually, she turned her head to him breifly glancing at him as he casually sat down and took to eating an apple. Hers had gone forgotten on the table. Though the children in her lap had both seemed to calm down...in fact they were playing some kind of hand game they had either picked up somewhere or made up themselves. "Well, isn't that just wonderful news." Yeah sure, Sevilin and Zahara being fine was good, but that didn't mean feelings were okay...and well, she had her own bone against Kimmuriel.
PostPosted: Fri May 11, 2007 10:07 pm

She blinked, why were they talking about stealing her? She was quite pleased with where she was and he coudln't have Sevilin either. She was quite confused, her head was still throbbing and she just wasn't happy at all. Though she did need to get cleaned up, that much was fairly obvious to her. She ran her hands through her hair once again, picking out pieces of tree and dropping htem onto the floor before she watched the others leave and stood. "I think I will go get cleaned up...then I'll be back." She still had her outfit from earlier so she walked upstairs and took a nice bath, scrubbing off blood and dirt and other unmentionable things and changed back into her original outfit. Walking back downstairs, a little better she gave him a hesitant smile. "Be honest...are you mad at me?"

Zykariel looked up as Malik came into the room and got slightly excited. "Mommy's okay? Can I see her? Where is she?"

Left alone in the space, he plopped down in a chair and duely rubbed at his temples. Oh stress...he still hated it. It was a wonder that he put up with things like this some day...could be possitively emotionally draining. Closing his eyes for the moment, he rested back in his seat, remaining like that until her voice pulled him from his moment of contemplation he was having. "Mad at you for which part? I think you've learned by now to tell when I'm mad at you. Particularly right now, I'm processing things."
