He walked over and titled her head up to look at her eyes.
"I promise, if you want three children, you'll have three. Zahara be damned. if you want fifteen, then that's how many you'll have. I won't let you not at least get the girl you want. even if I have to build another fortress just to house all teh other children that come out male from us or the Inthras,"
And gave her a kiss, and a grin.
"Besides, think of all the fun trying to get that girl you want."

See, he didn't try to correct her on her theory, they both knew it was true. But she merely watched him as he tilted her head, smiling lightly as he went into his priomise making and followe up by an oh so Malik like comment. "Fifteen hm? Well I dont' think I'm striving that high...I'm the one who has to be puffy with life for a year and not pleasant as well as restricted from all the fun trouble I like to get in to." One of those little Piper smiles of hers as she raised a hand to her collar, tugging on it lightly. "Yes, there is that aspect. I'll show you just how well a surface elf can cope too."

She spun around and glared. "They were laughing at me! And he called me Llothian! I don't even look Llothian anymore and I sure as hell don't serve that Spider b***h who is dead anyway. I want nothing to do with those disgusting creatures and it's insulting for Malik to send me down there to do something with them!" The second time in one day and he'd riled her up. "Gods be damned..."

Wow, Malik was on a role when it came to Zahara it seems. Which was worse...Malik beating on her and them both getting it out, or Malik antagonizing her into a state of constant riled behavior? Hm...that was a tough question. "They laugh at everything, they're necromancers. It's what they do." Sighing lightly and placing his hands on her shoulders again...this was becoming the common 'calm down' gesture. "Llothian doesn't have a particular look, just a particular stereotype. Don't let it get to you Sweetheart."

She sighed, it was just not a good day today. "Doesn't make it any better, Sevilin. I can tell them exactly what's going on with the stupid spider. They aren't letting the organs work the way they are supposed to. The spider's body doesn't do both simultaneously because the thread takes time to bond before it hits the air. It has to fuse and then it's allowed out so that the silk is strong. I know that but I couldn't tell them that. I can't handle spiders anymore, that's why I beat them when I see them." A shake of her head. "I can't handle arachnids and my best friend whom I just realized is truly my best friend wants to kill herself and make me help her. Not to mention Malik is on her side." She glanced up at him for a moment, "Why is today not a good day?"

Malik smirked lightly.

a kiss for her, and picking her up bridal style just because he could, and carried her downstairs to the kitchen, and set her down.
"Lets have something to eat, something little and then if you want you can poke Zahara with a stick until she gives you those drugs you want."

"Beat them into a pulp on my floors and walls and other surfaces." Which he then felt the compulsion to scrub it had become a thing that he was accustomed to. "Granted I'll give you the spider thing, but don't you think you may be taking this Piper thing a little bit too out of context. Think about Malik's reactions to insinuations of her death. He may be on her side, but I don't think he'd go through with things. So he's kind of on your side." Giving her a smiple shrug then. "Everyone has to have a bad day and you're damn useful and informative when you're being agreeable."
"Good because I will do foolish things to prove other things and you know it too." Smirking to him in thay mischevious way before a little noise as she was picked up and carted downstairs. Look at that, didn't even have to walk. It was great sometimes...though he was doing the 'you need to eat' thing again. "Alright, we can have something since you took the trouble of carting me down here." A skeptical look about the Zahara part though. "We'll see...I'm sure she'll want to lecture me first."

"Yeah but I still have to be the bad guy." Which was apparently becoming a pattern with her lately. First Sevilin and now this. She shook her head and heaved a deep sigh then glanced up when she heard not only her name but in connotation to what had been happening before. That was awkward and the final straw. "You're damn straight she will. Piper what in the hell are you thinking? Three children? Do you want to kill yourself. You can't do it. I know you hate the fact that you are a surface elf and you ran away from home and have a drow complex but that's not an excuse." Nope, she didn't think about what she was saying just saying it. "I don't care what you want and I don't care what Malik does, says, or ******** tries. You are not getting my potion until I say it is time and you're only getting it until you get pregnant one more time. I am not going to let you orphan the son you have and break your family's heart for your own selfish whims nor to please him. Understand?"

Wow, she just got ambushed there...not to self keep track of where people are so this doesn't happen too much. But Zahara didn't waste anytime talking shop now did she? Nope she got right to the bone of it all and wasn't gentle about it either. Don't get mad...don't yell...try not to anyway. "I have the right to want a family just as much as you may want to. Just because surface elves are known to have only one child and dirt fertility doesn't really mean anything." Though a frown because she did resent the mentioning of past actions and supposed complexes. "Understood, but do tell...when is this supposed wait period duration?"

"I got some chainmail made that might be a nice upgrade to what your wearing? want to take a look at it?"
a slight glance between the two women, and handing over and apple to Piper. hell if he'd known Zahara was in the kitchen he'd have avoided this. taking an apple for himself as well.

He looked to Malik. That would be the 'The women are about to go at it, let's give them some screaming room' hint that was universal among the male folk of every species. Glance at the girls. "Sure, sounds like fun. Love chainmail after all." Duely walking out after Malik. "I give them eleven minutes."
A look at the apple plunked in her hand, but she merely decided to go with it and yes took a bite out of it as she waited for her answer and the men decided it better to vacate the kitchen. And they said you couldn't train a man...

"Oh yes it does Piper. There's a reason your fertility sucks as badly as it does. Look at you! Your body doesnt handle children well, didn't you learn that with Malikhai? Or have you forgotten the pain and anguish you went through giving birth to him? I haven't. I haven't forgotten the way you screamed, the way we had to hold Malik down or how long you were down afterwards. That was your one shot, Piper. You have Malikhai, why isn't he enough? Why do you want so badly to sacrifice yourself for more children when you aren't made to do it? Drow have adapted to be able to have so many children or we would have died out by now. I can pop out six children if I want to without the need for potions or anything else. Hell, if I'm not taking a potion, Sevilin could probably look at me funny and I'd get pregnant. You aren't that way and that should damn well tell you something." She slapped a hand down on the counter and watched Malik and Sevilin leave. "Another year. And that's contingent upon my conference with Kieran."

Look at her? What the reason why surface elves weren't exactly as curvy as drow? Frown, more so as Zahara continued. "I remember it all very cleary, and it was about a traumatic as you. Birth isn't easy for anybody especially the first time. And you know what father had to hold Malik down...frankly I don't think he thought Malik would react as he did but bonds run deep. And three days is hardly anything!" Wait, you're telling, relax...don't yell. Though it was not a fun thing to have Zahara flaunt in her face just how more adept she was at having children. "If I couldn't have anymore children because of something other than dirt low fertility and supposed fraility, then yes Malikhai would be enough. But that's not a reason to not want more. What abotu you? Is Zykariel enough for you? You don't want to do it again?" She coudl be really mean right here...but for now she restrained. Though one of those 'are you serious' looks as Zahara put down her time. "Another year? It's already been three, going on four. And what praytell did you and father talk about?"

"Piper, you don't understand how dire this is. Lharika's mother? She died in childbirth and that was her second child. Kristelle Longwind? She died in childbirth and she was on her second child. Rychesse Ironblade? She was another who died after trying to have two children. Amyre Stonecrest? She managed to have two and died during her third. Do you see a pattern here? And I can keep right on going. There are more surface elves that have died from childbirth than from any other cause and I refuse to let you join that list. I refuse to do that to Malik as much as I hate him. Yes, Zykariel is enough and if I never had anymore children, I would be happy. I had one perfect little boy that I love with all my heart. Will I stop with him? Probably not." She sighed, "Piper, I understand your desire. I want another more than I can express and I want to give Sevilin all the children he desires so that he can raise them and be a part of their lives. But if my body couldn't physically handle it, as much as it would hurt, I wouldn't risk it. No matter how badly I wanted to have another child, because I want to live out my days with my family more. I want to see my son grow up and one day get married and have children of his own and I want to be with Sevilin until I die. You taught me about love and now you're asking and demanding that I do something that could potentially harm you and steal you from those who love you most. That's not fair, Piper." Her lips pursed for a moment and she nodded. "Five years is best. And you just got back from this quest that you beat yourself up on. But, I'll tell you what; I want you to really think about this, Piper and ask yourself if this is really worth it and if it is, then I'll start you back on those drugs next month. How's that?"
