Actually I tried drugging him into it when we were 16... it didn't turn out like I expected. Though I've never seen him dance like that before and I'll likely never see it again...

No one really knows why... Even Bel-... Tavin, won't say. Not that- I excepted him to. :::She had to stop doing that o herself:::
But Kal and I, its said were meant to come here. We've been taught about the Brink since we were children, and they anticipated us appearing here.

You were taught about The Brink, but they didn't tell you who was behind it? Who made it? Why its there?

No... they taught us that the Brink was a great big mystery, and that the people who appeared here must be part of some greater destiny. Any knowledge we had about the Brink was passed down by our mother, who was some kind of extra-human, or goddess. It's a long story but, she and the Brink are the reason that my civilization exists... but-
:::Kara hesitated::: That's what doesn't make sense. Kal and never got to know our mother, she died in battle when we were only 3. There are many of you who were never mentioned in our teachings, and there wasn't anything at all about the Seraphim.

Mmm... yeah. That's our mother. From what I hear she's really old... like she doesn't ever age... And that makes sense if she's supposed to survive for another 1000 years and change to give birth to us and revolutionize civilization.
The problem is, if she's met you and a bunch of other people, why wasn't that in our teachings? Why wasn't the Seraphim in our teachings? Someone's leaving something out... We're not getting the whole story here.

Nope. Not personally. Neither has Kal. But Kal and Cora get to talking, and she's met the Seraphim before. And I know Luke has. And Bard, Maggie... and of course, that girl Hajime did too... Don't know who else.

The important thing is that you know when to come out and tell the truth, and when to not.

See, now you sound like General Mattison. The real question is how do we know that HE knows the right time? Without knowing everything ourselves, how do we determine that HE is even WORTH trusting?

:::Kara had imagined it that way... it was just so difficult to believe that Tavin might have ill intentions or even that he didn't know what he was doing. He had always been potrayed to her as ambilvilant and powerful. But then... if her sources weren't accurate, as she'd summized a while ago...
