Getting up, he walked over to her and took hold of her wrists gently, lowering her hands and pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Shh, listen to me. Let me at least try to soothe your worries some. No it is not common for surface elves to have more than one child...but some are capable of such. Yes, it taxes thier bodies, but if they do make an effort to speedily keep at bay the effects carrying a child brings about. Piper is if anything stubborn. Or you may get lucky and even with drugs, nothing will come of it all...maybe her body has already going into regression from having children. Elven bodies are made to try and prevent harm to themselves after all." Trying his best to soothe her somewhat.

She sighed softly and closed her eyes as his lips made contact, smoothing out the line that had formed there and she moved in a little closer, resting her face against his chest. "I hope so because I can't willingly go through with something that I know will harm her and I can't stand the thought of not having her around. Especially when I think about all the times I almost killed her." A shake of her head. "I understand her desire for more children...maybe I could carry one for her?"

Letting his hands run up her arms from her wrists as he let them lower, he let his hands rest gently on her shoulders, one brushing through her hair before resting on her shoulder again. "Would you rather be the one supplying her with a drug that can help her out, or going to someone else for such needs?" Simple fact that he had to point out and such...she may not want to do this for Piper and such, but at the same time...it could be worse. Then a sake of her head. "You know it wouldn't be the same to her."

"If she uses that other stuff on the black market she's bound to make herself sick and possibly poison herself. It took me months to adapt and perfect a recipe that wouldn't have any strange side effects, like when her nose turned into a faucet and she poured blood." Frustrated now since it seemed like it was completely out of her hands she blew out a breath and slammed her fists against his chest lightly. "Damn stubborn surface elf. Why can't she just accept the lot she was given and move on. if she was with another surface elf she wouldn't even have Malikhai!"

"Just reminding you of what...young and determined, often rebellious young elves...will do when they really want something." Yes, he was talking about her too. If anyone could relate to Piper, Zahara could. Another pet of his hand through her hair, brushing over her ears. "This is one of those forks in the road of life where you have to make a decision and not look back. You can help her, and then take care of her and make sure she does as seh needs to do, or you can put it in her own hands and leave her to her own devices. Besides, you're the potion distributor...you can enforce rules and such."

He always knew how to make it better, didn't he? Well aside from his gentle rebuke in there as well though she didn't begrudge him that either. "Oh I will be enforcing rules. Bedrest when I tell her, no extended activity with the horses when I say so and I'm only doing this one more time. That's what I told Malik and that's what I'll tell her as well. Two children from my efforts is her limit. That's all her body can really handle anyway." A shake of her head and she pulled back slightly, gazing up at him. "Will you go downstairs with me? Malik has something he says I need to see and I don't want to go alone."

"See, things will work out just fine. You shouldn't stress yourself so much." It was nice to be able to diffuse her...took him long enough to learn how to do so. But a curious look at the mention of basement things. That was usually never good. "That sounds ominous. But yes, I'll go with you. Let's go get that out of the way."

"Yes well, it keeps you busy and if Malik wouldn't say and do such things, I wouldn't have to stress." A shake of her head and she grasped his hand, entwining their fingers, then headed off downstairs. Coming to stand in the doorway of one of those rooms, she cleared her throat and gazed at the icky necromancers. "Malik said you had a problem and I might be able to help. What's wrong?"

The Tier'dal necromancer looked her over, and gestured.
"Over here, Lothian. We acquired a silk gland and the spinnerets of an andalian giant spider. while we can bring it into unlife, we can't get it to produce a usable strand of silk for steelweave. with your religious devotion to such lesser things, we thought perhaps you might have some knowledge on how to produce the proper strength of silk."

Frown. "One, she's not Llothian. Two...well I think you're out of luck un your religion department on that one. A little praying isn't going to go as long a way as a little potion shoving and such." It was kind of insulting that they thought she was still in that little cradle of devotion that had long since tipped over.
She watched him a moment then sighed. That had been brief…then again she was used him randomly disengaging from the world in general, usually meant he was thinking on something that he worried about as well. It was just one of those things that she was accepted and moved on past. “Something in your business life cause enough displeasure to intrude into your personal life?” Untangling herself from their hold and turning to face him. She didn’t like it when he was like that…it bothered her.

A slight frown.
"I had a talk with Zahara about you wanting more children. she said she'd help you have one more, but that's it. and that she'd tell you when you could have it. she's worried anymore children might stress your body more than you can handle. I know you wanted three, and I'll still try to provide you with the three you want...but Zahara won't help past two."
He took her hands, and kissed them softly.
"I hope that doesn't disappoint you too much."
the necromancer glanced at Sevilin only for a moment, leading them to the table and the built in loom with the spider organs attached to it.
"Potions and prayer are not what we're after. A Llothian upbringing does include spider worship and study in far more degree than an Innoruukian upbringing. I am hoping that she'll have a better knowledge of how the body of a spider functions nad thus provide the answers to getting a solid good strand. observe."
the necromancer sat down, and started teh loom. the organs and spinnerets pulsed and throbbed and silk started to come forth, and tread into a strand. the necromancer them stopped pulled prat of it forward and cut it, and dropped it. it scattered about, the strands not forming into the solid thread they should.
"that is the problem. I'm hoping you might have a solution."

And a frown from her to match his own. That was not a happy thing. Sure they were looking out for her health and everything, but she found it quite the little thing that Zahara, and probably Malik in on it too, thought they could tell her such things and control her like that. If he hadn't been holding her hands, she would of crossed her arms. "Of course you both would think that way about me." Okay a little defensive...well she hated it when the fact was brought up that she was a surface elf.
And well, that was unsettling now wasn't it. Actually, those things tasted nasty too. Spiders...just something that was not a good thing. "Looks like you are having simple thread spooling problems. Ever think it's beacause you're missing the rest of the spider?"

Yeah, not Llothian and she frowned as well. She watched the process and shook her head. "I can't help you, I'm sorry." Turning quickly, she bolted out of the room and up the stairs. She hated anything to do with Lloth, anything to do with her past and really hated spiders. It didn't matter that she'd served the Spider Queen at one time, she no longer did and she wouldn't have anything to do with them ever again.

"that's not the case. I told her if you wanted three you could have three. she's the one refusing aid. and she claims she hasn't got the recipe written down or in her head for her drugs so I can't simply steal it from her to give you."
he crossed his arms lightly, a little hurt there.
"You know I would love a large family. and to think that you feel I would purposefully deny that to you stings. This is Zahara's personal opinion, that you might not survive three children."
the necromancer watched her run off, and gave a small smirk before turning to sevilin.
"the rest of the spider is irrelevant to the process. granted the backlegs might have been of assistance in the spooling process, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. it's weaving the threads. they don't seem to be conjoining as they should for a thread of spidersilk."

She was upset...well she had every right to be. She wanted nothign to do with that kind of life anymore, so why would she let herself get pulled into something as thus. "You're forcing the spinnerets to work in exact fashion to one another...to get a good strong and weaved strand, they have to move independently but in concert. Think about the structure of proper thread, adjust and time accordingly. See how that works out...if not well then ask me again. It is an Andalian spider after all." Yeah knew a thing or two about spiders...also knew that they tasted like slime and boot leather too.
And that information imparted he turned on his boot heel and started back to find and soothe Zahara. Let's see how defensive she was being. "Sworn off spiders completely? No wonder you kill them with avengence at home when they do get in." He hated the webs they left behind in his damn corners.
"And you don't share her opinion in at least some part? I don't mean to try and hurt your feelings but I know you Malik...if I was pregnant it came a time for you to choose between having a baby or me dying from it before that ever came to pass...you would choose me first." Simple as that. "And I don't begrudge you of that A'mael." Shaking her head lightly and wrapping her arms around herself with a light sigh. "That's okay, I don't need her for a third, I can find out my own way. If one more is all she's willing then if I want to do this the easy way where I know I don't have to risk being poisoned or the like, I have to play by her rules for now."
