Malik and his privacy...but he didn't worry about her anymore during those talks seeing as him and Malik had come to an understanding. Eliminated a lot of worry which was a nice thing indeed now wasn't it? "Always so secretive when it comes to her." Shaking his head lightly then giving Zahara a look. "Sooner you get it over with the sooner you don't have to experience it."
Piper got herself all riding gear free and well...actually went girly again, throwing on a dress and fixing her hair some. Might as well get back to feeling comfortable in her own home again as well. And then on to check on the boys, peeking her head in...only to find them both pretty much taking reverie in a pile of each other. Little elves worse thier minds out quickly, they often took what a human would call a nap. Keely had apparently gotten herself free and gone back to her chores judging by ropes. Thus a moment spent putting children in the bed and cleaning up a little.

She frowned and made what was equivalent to a pouting face since she was comfortable and quite happy cuddling on Sevilin's lap. Things had been slightly different between them since the whole cheek incident and she hadn't felt quite right cuddling. Shoving herself off his lap rather reluctantly, she headed out the door and to the stables, going down the line and checking on all of them, giving pets. She had no sugar since she wasn't in her skirt but she pet a nose and smiled, "Alright Malik. Fire away."

Malik was serious, putting the report on the table and walking out with Zahara. watching her a moment with the horses.
"Piper wants to have more children. three seems to be the goal in mind. I want your medical opinion on if her body could handle it, how bad it might be, and what could happen. I don't mind at all the idea of more children, but I know you and I both take her health very seriously. So I want your medical opinion on the idea of her bringing possibly two more children into the world."

Zahara turned and stared at him. "I know she plays at being drow but this is ridiculous. Absolutely not. She's a surface elf, Malik. Their bodies can hardly handle the one child they randomly get lucky to have. I had to drug her every day to get her fertility up high enough so you could have Malikhai and you and I both remember the hell she went through birthing him. And now you want to go through that again, and not even stop there but do it again?!" A shake of her head. "Do you want to kill her? Because that's what could happen, she could die. She could miscarry and really mess herself up or worse cause herself abject pain and never be able to have anymore children, ever." Another shake of her head, "She cannot have two more children, I won't play catalyst to her death. Kieran and I had a lengthy discussion on this and his opinion is two and that's the limit. If she really wants another, I'll help her with one more but that's it and she needs to let enough time go by before she even thinks about starting up those drugs again."

"It's her desire. she wants three. at least one girl. I don't mind more family, and I know the stress we all went through to get her that one chikld she has now. and I know that's she's no drow in the reproductive area. which is why I came to you for your opinions on the matter. it was a subject that got brought up during our little trip."

"If her desire was to jump off an Andalian cliff and splatter her body along the rocks below, would you let her do it?" Zahara's hands hit her hips. "You have a son Malik, just because he wants to do something doesn't mean that it is in his best interest. So you tell him no, despite whining and crying you might hear, because you love him and want to see him alive and safe, right?" A shake of her head, "Same concept applies with Piper. Sevilin loves me but he will not hesitate to stop me when I'm thinking of doing something stupid. If he claims to love me, that's part of his responsiblity and I want him to tell me when I'm trying things I shouldn't be, even if I get upset." Stroking the horses nose again, "It's for her own good. She cannot have two more, period. Her body will literally rip itself apart and she won't survive and the chances of the baby surviving are not much better. I won't help you with two more but as I said, I will assist with one more child if she promises to wait until I say it is time to begin the drugging again."

Malik's eyes narrowed.
"you think that I could not go easily over your head and take those drugs if I was so adamant to give her more children? I asked for your advice becuase I love my wife and want to make sure she is able to bear and survive them. you say one more, then one more. and when you feel her body can handle it. don't presume to think that just because she wants three that I'll nearly kill her to give three children life."

"I merely went by your response when I told you three she could not have. You claimed that it was her desire which told me you wanted to give it to her. And no, Malik, you cannot go over my head and take the drugs because you have neither the recipe or the drug itself and you will not pull it out of me by force or other means. It is not stored in my head nor is it stored on paper so clear that out of your thoughts as well. You and Piper have entrusted me with her health. I am telling you that I refuse to go through this process more than twice and she's already had one. She will wait the prescribed number of years and then we will start the treatments again. If she is unhappy, tough. I won't kill her to see her desire fulfilled. If she wants a baby girl that badly and this one is a boy as well, then perhaps another option will be consulted. But she will not be a carrier of more than two children." She moved on down the line and petted at another. "Anything else I can help you with, Malik?"

Oh if he hadn't agreed with sevilin to let her alone he'd have slapped her for her insolent attitude. but he had something to get even with her.
"In fact I do. your upbringing should give you a particular insight into a small problem. it's downstairs. I'll let those in charge of that particular project give you the details of thier trouble."
and he left her at that, going back in the house and to his wife, giving her a sneaky hug from behind, holding her wrists lightly and putting both thier arms around her waist.

She had still been in the motions of picking up toys from the children, and with all the expertise of a mother, extracting them from thier play clothes, putting those away as well. Then affection ambush via Malik. But she liked those so being ambushed in such a manner was thus a good thing. Giving a soft melodic laugh she leaned back into him in thier combined hold on herself and turned a look over her shoulder, nuzzling under his chin lightly. "Amin mela lle Malik." Turning tripled colored eyes up to him with a light smile then. "I thought you went to go do lordly type things."

"The husband and fatherly type things? I like those things they make you all mellow and pleasant to be around." Hell, she didn't particularly wonder what put him in these moods, just that they existed and she was privy to them...not many saw the softer side of Malik that she had always been privilaged to see in him. Piper settled back into him a little more comfortably. "They certinally did tucker themselves out...though it's cute to come upon a pile of little elves. They were duely put in beds and I took a moment to clean up after them. Surprisingly efficent for suffering your brand of fatigue at the moment." A tilt of her head and a soft laugh. "You can do your fatherly things later I suppose."

Her upbringing? There was no way in hell she wanted to see something that had anything to do with her upbringing. Therefore she ignored the downstairs part and went to go find her son. She stood in the nursery for a moment, watching him in reverie, then smoothed his blanket and pressed a kiss to his forehead before turning and leaving the room. Sevilin was right where she left him, which she found interesting to say the least. "She wants two more children. Can you imagine what that would do to her body? And Malik's response, 'Oh, I'm not against it if that's what she wants.' He wants me to drug her again so she can get puffy!"

Oh look he was granted with the start of a rant on her part. Malik may not be allowed to hit on her anymore, but he could still certinally stir her up just the same. "Let her do as she wishes? Or just don't drug her. Surface elves aren't made for children, I know this. Are you honestly going to stress about this...she'll fight you on it, you know she will. Then you two will just scream at each other."

"No, no, no, no, no!" She plopped her hands on her hips and glared at him. "That's as bad as Malik saying if that's what she wants then that's what she can have. She cannot have two more children, I will absolutely not allow it. Her body will tear itself to pieces if she attempts to give birth more than one time and even that second time is pushing it. She hates bedrest but that's what she's going to be on and daily checkups because her body is not even made to give birth to one!" She threw her hands through her hair and began pacing. "I am not going to be responsible for killing my best friend and if that means we scream at each other and don't talk for a week or so then so be it!"
