DartStriker Because Tactica Subforum is closed. I thought it best to just allow people to post tactica in their races sub-forum. The Tactica sub will be used for other purposes. As for Tau pushing the Imperium off the table, it's not going to happen. The Tau cannot muster enough military strength to compare to even the strength of an Imperial Sub sector. I mean do expand from their area now they have to go straight through Macragge. The Ultramarines are to big a part of 40k and having something happen to them would be like plunging a knife in their own profits. There for we can conclude the Tau are not getting much bigger any time soon. (By the way an entire tau military crusade couldn't destroy a Space marine chapters. During the first crusade against the Tau only 5 full companies of Space Marines took part. They also got spread out very thin to cover the gaps the Imperial Guard left behind. Taking on the Ultramarines home with Guardsmen and at least 6-7 Companies there. Their prospect looks grim.) The Tau empire is less then 1/100 of the Imperial empire. Thats because the Tau Empire isnt even a baby relative to the Imperium of Man. I'de like to point out one thing. The Tau are the only really good race in the Galaxy. Yes they want to expand their empire like The Imperium but unlike the Imperium they arn't xeno-phobic. The Tau will include any race willing to serve the greater good. I'de love to see a SM ask for a planet to surrender before attacking...or virus bombing...or calling an exterminatus...

Yeah the Tau Empire will only end up having worlds that the Imperium allows them to have, If the Tau push against the Imperium to much you can bet the Tau would be pushed back to there home System by a chapter or 2 very easily.

Actually not to get you upset or anything, but that’s just a show.
There are no "Good Guys", in 40k. While the tau put on a smile and mask, they all look good but read over their back ground. In fact their asking to surrender is more like, "Join the Greater good, or Die." They are a group of conquerors not peace bearers. They will do anything required to further their own goals of the Greater good.

At least Tau dont have nasty B.O. Even The lowest Tau clean themselves....2 chapters dont need virus bombs....they just need to walk on the surface of a planet without armor

Well that Tau have taken worlds from the Imperium, out in the space they are planets are cut off and easily over run. Without aid being able to reach them for moths or even years.

But they offer the chance to join them...of cource they wont ignore a planet that they want to control. Notice there is no Tau word for Exterminatus

Marine Implants
Phase 16: Mucranoid: The Marine sweats an oily, naturally cleaning substance. Also forms a barrier to aid in space travel if a Marines armor is breached in space. (N)

Just saw this, For everyones own good, please don't try to make the world of 40K into Goods Vs. bads. It's not healthy, I've had whole debates on this kind of thing at my own local gaming stores Forum. And believe it or not, Yes, The imperium has always asked that planets surrender before waging war on the planet. The only times this does not happen is when a world has become a chaos infested planet, and when Horus started his Heresy on Istvaan 3 by Immediately droping Virus bombs instead of asking for surrender to the Imperium.

@hvnsheretic69: At the Moment there are no special rules for the Crimsion fists besides whats in the normal space marines. But they do have the stern divergence that allows them to take Suffer not the alien to live but also get the faithful unto death drawback.
@Tikit_boyX2: Very true, and good point. In many cases the Tau and Imperium have had planets controlled by either side. Peace talks generally do happen. On Medusa V the Tau arrays there had been disguised as Tau mining Colonies. The Imperium had allowed them to construct.

The firewarrior book is pretty wrong in all aspects, don't take to much of what is in it to heart.
