That's exciting! Me and my husband just had a courthouse wedding. There was no way, I was spending thousands of dollars on an event where I might get 500$ in gifts lmfao. Save my money for the household instead.

Yeah. I seem to find everyone on earth has the same sort of smart thinking....except my fiancee. xD
Our wedding, as it is, and as cheap as I could manage finding thus far will run us around 25K.
Which to me, is insane, and makes no sense. Because it SHOULD be going toward a home, so that we can start our family. But...yeah...she wants a nice wedding, with everyone in her family there, and at an actual venue, not in a hall, or church, or whatever.
However, I know she's always wanted this kind of wedding--and she's (if you can believe it) making a lot of cuts on what she wants in order to try to lower cost. But at the end of the day, it's just too much. xD
I think part of her knows that, and she broke down a little the other day when we were discussing it, because she wants it so bad, but she knows she's being irrational, but doesn't want to believe it. So, I put my big boy shorts on, explain that, yes, it is insane, and I would like her to consider the options, and REALLY think about it. But, if she decides that she can't have it any other way, I will support her, and we will make it work. >_<
As for a date, not specifically -- we are going for late august in 2018.
And we're doing the planning ourselves. xD So that will be fun.
