Sora fidgeted some with the hem of his shirt, still trying to get rid of that faint blush. "M-My name's Sora." was all he managed to get out before his jaw clenched and his body refused to let him talk anymore. He quickly excused himself from the group and headed out into the crowd again. Only to get snatched into the hall by his grandmother.

Ghost raised an eyebrow as one of the guys introduced himself and hurriedly left. She turned to the other one and looked again at Natalia.
Yuke sighed and shook his head as his cousin left. "He's just nervous," Yuke said, frowning with concern for Sora. Had the other prince just disappeared?

Sora was soon pushed back into the ballroom, now sporting his own royal robes. His were a deep blue decorated with golden feathers and white cranes. This was so embarrassing! Sora couldn't help but turn bright red.

Yuke caught sight of Sora again, and he raised an eyebrow, rather confused by the fact that he was in robes now. He caught his cousin's eye and gave him a look that basically said that if the other boy didn't come over to the small group, he was doomed. Or, he would be dragged there. Either one.

Sora glanced around and caught his cousin's look. Well that's comforting when your cousin was threatening you with doom. He sighed defeatedly returned to his cousin's side since he didn't know anyone else.

Yuke felt a little bad as he realized that Sora was rather nervous, and he looked back to the two girls. "So, I'm probably not asking this question right, but what, uh, do you two do that got you in here?"

Natalia had stopped hiding slightly, standing close to Ghost's side. She glanced to the necromancer curiously, nut understanding Yuke's question. Though a thought did cross her mind. Yuke was even cuter up close but... But his clothes just didn't suit him... Maybe Sora, yes, but she wondered what Yuke looked like in a tux.
Sora just fiddled with the hem of one of his sleeves, not really looking at the girls. He was nervous and he felt very uncomfortable. Besides, this girl probably didn't even like him the way he thought he liked her.

Here we go, was the first thing Ghost thought of. She wasn't entirely sure what Natalia was good at, which was what she thought Yuke was asking, and she didn't really want to say to them, "Oh, I can talk to and bring back the dead, steal energy from the living, and occasionally kill people. The usual." She turned to look at Natalia, hoping the mute would tell he something to say. The necromancer tapped her gloved fingers against her leg, now nervous.
Yuke was waiting for an answer, but decided his question wasn't clear enough. "I guess I meant what your powers are sort of, and such. We don't really know anybody around here, so I'm not entirely sure how getting in works."

Natalia let out a silent giggle. She started signing to Yuke, explaining that she had no powers. But she was good at potions. Se then explained that getting in was simple. All you had to do was apply and have your powers assessed by the teachers. Then it would be off to classes for them.
Sora watched as the girl began to sign. he actually understood her the first time around, nodding some. He wasn't sure how actually, but he got the message she conveyed.

Ghost watched Natalia's signs just like Sora and Yuke. She continued tapping her fingers against her legs. That wasn't exactly how you got in, not in all cases, she thought to herself. Jethrow had flat out refused to let her use her powers unless the situation called for it.
Yuke watched the signs getting faster. He got the gist of what she was saying and nodded. He would have asked why she was signing, which was a surprise for him, but he didn't want to be rude. He figured if he got to know her better, he'd ask another time. "Is there a good potions class here?"

Natalia nodded once more, telling Yuke that Anya the faerie had the best in her opinion. She smiled as she finished her signing, having such a bright, carefree smile.
Sora felt a little more comfortable around the mute, her smile rather contagious. It made him smile a small bashful smile. But he still wasn't very keen on talking just yet.

Yuke nodded a bit. He glanced at Sora from the corner of his eye, and caught sight of the bashful smile on the younger cousin's face. He knew that his cousin wasn't about to say anything, so he turned his face back towards Ghost and Natalia. "What about you?" he asked, addressing Ghost.
Ghost frowned a little, having wanted to avoid this topic. Most people in the school didn't actually know what she could do; they just had the natural instinct to stay away. "N-not much. My family... Uh.. Yeah, they kinda, um, got me in," she stammered.

Sora listened to Ghost and bet there was more to that, but he didn't want to press her and make her even more uncomfortable. He adjusted his robes some, trying to make them more comfortable. But they were quite heavy and made it a little hard to breathe.

Ghost twisted her fingers a little. Yuke frowned as a silence hung over them, until soon they were all pushed apart by a stream of couples heading for the dancefloor because of the current slow song. The older cousin rubbed the back of his neck, wondering if he should ask Natalia to dance, and finally decided to, extending a hand towards her with a smile.

Natalia moved out of the way of the line of couples before Yuke offered his hand, making her blush some and glance to Ghost, as if asking if he was really asking her to dance. The mute swallowed some and gently took his hand, letting him guide her to the floor.
Sora watched Yuke walk Natalia off to dance. He glanced a little to Ghost, but she didn't seem like the dancing type. That and Sora couldn't dance period. So he stood next to Ghost, just watching the others enjoy the slow song.
