A faint smile played in Itachi's eyes for the shortest of moments. Amusing this girl was. Itachi turned his back on her, leaving the door open, and went to go look out the window. Why was Itachi leaving an unspoken inviation? Even he did not know.
Kurai made a mental note to argue with Kai once she had gotten over losing her precious friends. She nodded, not really agreeing but because she didn't have much strength to do much else. Kurai's emotions were starting to get the best of her.
Akane laughed, opening the cupboards. The Akatsuki was poorly stocked that was for sure. Who ever wanted the almighty Akatsuki to die from not receiving enough nutrition? No one probably knew. Well she didn't so Akane assumed no one else did.
Katashi glanced at Kira right before shoving Akane out of the way, "You're right. Now, keep this girl busy if you don't want this kitchen to explode." He sighed. Him and Akane usually got food from restaurants and other various food stands in villages. It wasn't often they were left off to cook and Katashi had his fair share of broken houses, buildings and apartments frin cooking.

Nami stared down at line in which wood met black carpet. She wouldn't enter unless both of them were comfortable with everything. She wasn't even sure if she herself was comfortable yet. She looked back up confidently, but not in a bad way. "I really don't pity you, ya know," She then softened her voice, "I just care too much. So don't think I'm lying, Weasel-kun." She teased, carefully observing him while his back was turned. Now that she thought about it, what exactly was so interesting about the outdoors when you're indoors? Whenever she went outside she never took it in as much as she did when seeing it through a window...
Kai faultered for a short second; where was he to take her? Did the base have a healing area? Should he take her to his room and then see what he could find afterwards? ... HE WAS NO DOCTOR, WHAT DID HE EXPECT HIMSELF TO DO?! D8 ... Nami had told him at some point that Zetsu was the one to bandage people, despite the fact that he could eat you at any moment.
"Eh, like I care about the kitchen... What, are you planning to cook?" Kira eyed him coldly; she did not enjoy his attitude. At that moment, Kira had noticed something. Why had Nekomata been so quiet lately? [[ Because Courtney forgot about it... >.> ]] She'd have to converse with the creature later, when she was alone...

Itachi couldn't hear the soft footprints that should've followed. He frowned. This girl... was she just here to contradict herself over and over again? He was somewhat glad though that he had someone to keep him company. It kept Itachi busy from thinking about things too hard.
Kurai could've healed herself, except the chakra in her was unfamiliar and it was herself who was doing this. She should've broken that damn curse when she had the chance. It just didn't seem to bother Kurai at all. Hopefully, she could slowly manage using the point of the curse. Positive feelings. Where was she supposed to get some? Well less damage would happen if she thought nothing at all. Kurai closed her eyes, the pictures of the grouped demons, Itachi, the strays, Kin.... Sasori glued to her eyelids. She could help Kai out, she could help herself out.
"Akane likes rolls of any sort, so long as it's edible." Katashi had shuffled through the fridge, pulling out vegetables, meat and already amde wrapping. "Do you want some? I'm going to have to make a lot. This girl could eat everything here without a second thought." His hands were already busy washing, chopping, cleaning the vegetables and chicken. Soon enough the chicken was ready to be cooked and torn up to little pieces and the mix of vegetables ready to be wrapped.
Akane frowned at Katashi. The things he had said wouldn't have really worked for her. Although they were true none the less, she did not like negative things to be known about her first.

Nami pouted; he was being too quiet. Even for him. She exhaled, looking back down at the two surfaces connecting. She took a breath, and hopped over to the other side, her arms held out from her as if attempting to fly. She giggled at her actions, for some reason that was so fun. She calmed herself before lowering her arms and walking over to Itachi, standing beside him. Staring outside the window seemed boring when you had someone to talk to...
[[ I think I'mma play Zetsu temporarily and get you fixed up~ 8D Because Kai/me ish confused. >.> ]]
"Thanks, but no thanks." Kira shrugged. She wasn't used to people offering her things, whether they liked her or not.

Itachi spared one moment look at Nami. The sound of her laughter was very unexpected. He watched her from the corner of his eyes, very amused. It was at times like this that he actually enjoyed Nami's presense. As Itachi saw her approach, he turned his focus back to the window. He wasn't one to start conversations and knew it would seem rather out of place so Itachi stayed quiet.
[[Uhh okie dokie! I'm a rather confusing roleplayer now that I read that post. x'DD]]
Akane's eyes sparked happily. The rolls that were set before her smelled absolutly delicious! She picked up a roll and quickly stuck it into her mouth. "Thanks, Tashi." Akane smiled with her mouth full. If Kira or Tashi didn't want any the more for her to enjoy. Her enjoyment was spoiled when Katashi laughed, "Ha! You're welcome but it's for me too."

Nami glanced up at Itachi for a moment, wondering if she should ask if something was wrong, but that would just be stupid, wouldn't it? She felt both relaxed but at the same time anxious. She figured that if Itachi were to say a word that she'd probably jump a foot off the ground. But, none the less, no matter if she jumped up through the ceiling, she still wanted him to say something.

Kira shook her head, that one smile still making up her features. They were both so childish, it was weird. Weird because Kira had never really been a 'happy' child. That seems to happen when you're shunned for being a demon host.

Itachi would've frowned again 'cept Nami was right there beside him. Did she not want the first word like usual? Now it began feeling akward. Almost like they both didn't know what to do at this moment. 'That must be it,' Itachi pondered. 'But does one need to do something each minute?' He glanced down near the bottom of the window. There lyed Kurai's things in a large heap. It struck him as a now idiotic thing to do. Well he also didn't expect Nami to be in here. He breathed in more air than usual and let it all out. Itachi walked towards the door and paused saying, "Perhaps you'd like to take a walk?"
[[Kai can... what can Kai do? D': ~ I meant that I'm confusing not confused. xD Sometimes my posts are very weird 'cause I forget you don't know what I'm talking 'bout >////<']]
As Akane fought with Katashi over the food and who would get what. She had enough time to look at Kira, "Are you sure you don't want any? It looks like the lot of you don't eat much so at least you should eat up." Akane had much to figure out by herself. What kind of people didn't want to eat?

Iunno how Zetsu acts, really. xD I know the white half of him is nice, and the black half is all crazeh and weird and like, "I MUNNA EAT JOO." ]]
Nami had watched Itachi walk away, expecting to be asked to leave. She didn't expect him to ask her to leave with him. Either way, it made her beyond happy. She smiled, nodded, and walked back over to him and then sloooooowly through the door. She looked back at him, giving a soft questioning look. She could understand why he was being different, but before she had went to see him she had expected him to be... well, upset. Like, throwing vases at walls and, like, stabbing every person he saw. Hell, if such a situation were to happen with Nami, she'd probably do just that. She stuck her tongue out at nothing, dismissing her questioning look.
Kira shook her head. "I don't think I deserve food. Besides, I have two souls in this body, maybe I could live off of the other for awhile until I decide to eat Akatsuki food. God knows they don't shop much." That was an excellent point, actually. There's no way they could go into town periodically without being found out.

[[Ehh. I don't know much about Zetsu either. He's like the mystery Akatsuki member.. he could actually be the leader instead of Madara! xDD There's so many surprises in Naruto that you're never sasfe assuming. That works for me!]]
Itachi chuckled. Nami seemed like a child to him. She doesn't announce how she feels, does a lot of weird things without explaining. Although in other ways she was wise, almost. It was almost like Nami could see through people.
Their pace was rather slow. Maybe it had to do with the atmosphere? Death had happened a few hours back and here the two were walkng side by side as if nothing had happened. It sure helped Itachi's facade that was right. He knew that the facade itself was not right, but what else could he do? Itachi was within the walls of an evil organization that planned to make everyone a minion under their power. A cruel, heartless organization. What could he do with the circumstances? Sob? Mourn? Throw a tantrum? No, he couldn't. Itachi just had to go on like everything was completly fine. Like his sister was supposed to die.
Akane was just about to shove another roll into her mouth when she heard Kira speak. She put the roll back onto the plate and started setting aside a few rolls. Akane stood up, picking up the plate and walked over to Kira. Offering once more with one word, "Eat."
The presentation, Akane thought, was rather pretty. Almost like a flower. Lettuce was the petals of the flowers, dipping sauce in the middle of it all, and the rolls in the center of each 'petal'. The small folded in part of the roll touching the small circular bowl filled with sauce.

Nami couldn't help but let another smile slide across her face. She looked off, hiding it. She was smiling much too much, given the situation, wasn't she? Maybe it was like a cover-up, one like Itachi's, only different? Who knew...? All she knew was that she was confused about so many things. Frustrated, too. She turned her head the opposite direction, some-what facing Itachi. "You never told me if you liked squirrels." Again, she couldn't help the laugh that seemed to beat against her ribs as she said the word squirrels. What a silly thing to ask someone.
Kai started walking down corridors slowly, hoping there were names posted on the doors to know what and who went where and why. Hopefully he could fin- -
"You. Boy. The hell're you doing?" Zetsu's black half questioned none-too kindly.
Kai stopped, maybe even his heart stopped, too, but either way, he didn't like it. He turned his head slowly, eyeing the plant-like man. "Y-yeah?"
The white half of Zetsu sighed; he smelled the blood, he knew his services were required for the odd chakra he had felt mixed with Kai's. Truthfully, though, he thought a fight had broken loose in the base and it interuppted his gardening, so why not eat some people? "Come, boy."
YES! Victory for Kai! ... He followed, easing Kurai against his chest to relieve any stress he may have put on her during the walk.
[[ In the next post they'll just be there in Zetsu's room. >.> Or somethin'. .. I don't even know what's wrong with Kurai. o.o ]]
Kira's eyes widened at both the plate in her face and the command. She composed her posture and looked up higher than needed, almost challengingly. "Is that an order?"

[[Loves the spoilers.. xDDD Pein was just manipulated by Madara. Pein is really sort of like a puppet. It's a dead body controlled by someone else]]
Itachi arched an eyebrow, keeping his eyes forward. A mystery Nami would remain to him. Must he answer a question like that? Of course he had too. Nami probably wouldn't stop asking him. "I do not care for the creatures." Itachi's voice was stiff, attempting to be 'normal.'
[[I don't really know what's wrong with her either.. I confused myself ;D Let's just say she's getting healed blah blah blah]]
"Tsu-san...?" Kurai managed to speak quietly. "Pein-sama won't be happy if you eat me." Somehow she could sort of see it. It wasn't pleasant but she could see it. Kurai hadn't said, "Please don't eat me, it'll hurt their feelings and probably get you dead too." No she meant that Pein wouldn't be happy losing a beloved minion.
Akane snorted. "Like someone could order you around." She seemed to have known that none of these people were to b e messed with.
Akane thought for a moment. What was this she was doing for a person she had just met moments ago. "It's... it's a friendly request, Kira-chan." She smiled brightly. That's exactly what it was. "If ya don't hurry up then it'll be all gone before you taste any."

"But they're kinda cuddly..." Nami scrunched her nose in a completely childish goofy-face, though it somehow looked both funny and cute. "I wonder if yer cuddly. Are you cuddly, Weasel-kun?" She was too happy not to be weird and hyper, but eventually she'd had to get tired of it.
Zetsu tossed an amused smirk over his shoulder, turning a corner. "Of course, Kurai-san. Wouldn't even think about it." The white side of Zetsu really was nice. 8D Luckily he had managed the other half to keep it's half of the mouth shut. Sooner or not so sooner later, they were inside Zetsu's room. So far it just looked like a bedroom. He point to a door, "Place her in there, stay if you want, I don't care."
Kai's gaze followed the arm to the door, and then nodding, walking into the room. Everything was a bright white, like a hospital room. He looked at the 'bed' placed in the center of the room, easing Kurai down onto it. "How do you feel, anyways?" He hadn't expected an "I'm fine," to come from the girl, so he spoke with little to no hope.
Kira gave her an unbelieving look. Friendly request? Kira-chan? She wasn't used to such ... nice-ness. She smirked, plucking a roll from the plate. It's not like she'd die if she ate it, she'd actually probably live longer with food to keep her stomach from eating itself.

It had never struck Itachi before but.. how old were these new Akatsuki members? He knew Kira was fourteen but didn't act like it. For all he knew these people could be older than him. Itachi couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of it all. It was a quick chuckle ended by a shrug, "Who would know?"
Kurai closed her eyes as she did several times before. The lights were blinding that was a fact she knew. Hiding in what little protection from the light Kai provided, Kurai shrugged. "Physically, not bad, not bad." It was sort of true. The demonic chakra had over powered her earlier. Without any knowledge of having to control what Kurai now had, she must've hurt herself somehow.. Maybe the elements reacted on their own? Or maybe it was how the demons had left her body? Kurai did not know but somehow she was badly wounded.

"Good, ne?" Akane asked, lowering the plate on the counter not far from where Kira stood. "Tashi cooks whenever the villages don't offer food." As her hand left the plate, she went to go pick it up again and laid it on the table where Tashi was sitting. "Come sit. It isn't much fun eatin' by yourself."

Nami continued teasing and joking slightly; she enjoyed his laughter too much to stop talking at this point. She shrugged, leaning further to the right than necessary, stumbling and catching herself with her left foot. She shrugged it off, pulling at her corset as if straightening her clothes. "I really dunno. I don't think you'd appreciate it if I hugged you, and/or tackled you. But that's just my guess that no one likes being tackled."
Kai nodded, "Good. I guess...?" He, in some way, managed to give himself a questioning look before interuppting it with a yawn. "... Your aura feels different." Looking back down at her, he gave an unsure look. "What happened, Kurai?"
[[I'm hoping for Kurai and Kai to have a short chat first before "Tsu-san" comes in again. Iunno why, but Kai needs to be in my posts more anyways. xD ]]
Kira had to admit, it did taste good, so she merely nodded; her mouth was full. She finished the food in her mouth and looked at Katashi and Akane. "Why would a village deprive you of food?" She took her time walking over to a chair, leaning against the back of it instead of immediately sitting down.

Most people would've said that they 'needed a hug' at this very moment if they happened to stumble upon it. Perhaps Itachi should've wanted one but didn't. At the very least, the walk was soothing Itachi's mind. He nodded slightly, letting Nami know that he did not want a hug and more so being tackled.
Kurai attempted to sit up. It was a pain actually so instead of bearing it, she gently placed herself back down under Kai's shady protection from the light. Quietly, Kurai pondered on the question of 'what happened.' What did happen to her? The main high light of it all that she was demonless and that it felt like she was breathing in fire every momeny without them. Kurai laughed hysterically, trying to calm herself down. Right, they were gone. Gone for good, never to be heard of again. She managed to calm herself down after a while, restricting it to a few giggles. "I died, Kai. I died."
[[Yeah me too. I kind of like her in her 'loopy' state right now. The longer the better. Of course this might confused you too but I've got a scenario or two in my head. n___n"]]
Akane glanced at Katashi who seemed hesitate once more. It wasn't like it would after their reputation really. Suddenly becoming interested in the roll she picked up, Akane studied it, memorizing where each crack came. After a minute, she shrugged, "They.." They were what? What on Earth could she replace the word scared with so that it didn't sound so scary? "They didn't like us." After a little more thought she added, "We were nomads. No one really likes new comers, you know. Hard to trust nomadic ninja nowadays."
