Lateef still wasn't thrilled but he knew the boys wouldn't let her do anything stupid. Out in the hall he merely shook his head. "I'll eat later, right now there are bigger things to worry about." Taking a dee breath he began, "Malik's really worrying me. He's put me in a horrible position by telling me all he plans to do." A shake of his head and he sighed. "He wants to make Mahlari pay. He's got plans to do it through Ahkallyn and an introduction of some runic device and he also has issues with the Brigade. Caprice, he was speaking of murdering an innocent child." He glanced into Piper's room and then back at his wife. "I'm worried."

Zykariel blinked and shrugged, "I guess if she has to go really really bad we'll just talk to Mommy on the stone and ask her that way." He nodded, that sounded good. "But I don't think she would say no if she had to really really go."

She was tossing specialized cubes into the hot water and stirring them. Shopping was a necessity and needed to be done very soon since there was practically nothing to eat in the house. She did have spices though so a few of those were thrown in and mixed. "You heard me, you're hearing is too good for you not to have. Now, no more talking or you'll tear your stitches and make yourself bleed. That's not a whole lot of fun to clean up." Monitoring the water and waiting for it to boil, she crossed her arms and tapped the wooden spoon lightly against her side.

She crossed her arms lightly over her chest, taking on a contemplative look before motioning him to follow, walking down the hall merely for the sake of a bit of privacy. "You find yourself being obligated to your home, to hand over the information you've been given, yes?" She knew her Lateef...his conscience always got to him. "If he has Brigade issues, then he needs to go to Master Tyrrael, so put your mind at ease about that." Though the rest was quite disturbing a bit and she was quiet a moment before turning to her husband. "Does Piper know?"

He dropped down off the bed and toddled off into the bathroom, having grabbed a glass that was set there earlier on the bedside table, and worked at filling it up and bringing it back to his mother, handing it up to her before crawling back on the bed. "Do we got a stone with us?"

Wasn't that cute that they were discussing such things. Then again that kind of thing was really imporant to a toddler...still extremely cute. Taking the glass from her son she sipped lightly before setting it aside, giving a brush of her hand through each boy's hair. "Did you two so your studies yet today?"

Okay yes he had heard, but was it meant like she said it in the way that he took it? Perhaps...and perhaps not. Bah he hated things like that. But he would just go with things right now...and he didn't get to say anything seeing as he was being duely hushed like a child. Her point did have merit though. Sighing he sat down at the table in the kitchen, crossing his arms on the surface before resting his forehead on them. Oh this was horrible pain...

"Well of course I do. I know of Malik's plans and they aren't good plans at all. He intends to do serious harm and I'm afraid his plans will only succeed in ruining extra planar travel forever. Tyrrael won't take another chance like he did all those years ago with you know who. He'll shut the gate down, for good this time." He sighed softly and ran his hands through his hair. "I don't know. He got defensive when I mentioned that Piper might be merely a tool for his own revenge. I don't know what to do Caprice. She loves him and there's a true bond there, unless that Tier'Dal found someway to trick the mage, but his violent tendencies terrify me. By my loyalty to Andal I cannot sit by and allow him to go through with this. I woudl be committing treason and putting you and Isle in jeopardy as well."

"We're counting watching you as part of our studies. We're learning to guard things which is just as important as numbers and reading." He nodded emphatically to that and then hopped off the bed and around to Piper's bedside table, pulling it open and searching through. "Check your daddy's. There's always one in the table next to the bed."

"I know it hurts, Sevilin and I know it's going to hurt for a little while, just like it's going to take a while to heal. I knew that when I did it but I still did it." She used the spoon to break the cubes up and the water began to turn a yellowish color. "I've learned a lot of things since Piper and I came to that stalemate in the woods. When I first saw you, I hated you beyond anything I could ever express. You were nothing but one of them and you proved it to me many times over." As she spoke she began mixing some other ingredients together but these were not the edible sort. "I know now that I asked for each and every thing I got back then but as I'm sure you've long ago figured out, I can't be told anything once my mind is made up. I was confused since I was attracted to you and yet I hated you all at the same time. Time progressed, I became your student and it all only got worse." Carefully pouring the steaming broth into a mug she let it sit for a few minutes to cool down.

"Then we slept together that first time and I learned even more at your hands. Things I never expected to learn. I became entranced by you, wishing to know more and after a while you obliged. Zykariel came around soon after that and I was thrown into this whole other world but you were right there the whole time. You helped me through those first confusing months when I was terrified that I might break him and uncertain all the time. You never tried to control me, never tried to push me into something that I wasn't ready for. And somewhere along the way I fell into this thing that I couldn't define and I didn't understand but I knew I couldn't lose it or it would be the death of me." She handed him the warm mug and sat down with a cup of tea across from him, taking a needle and thread and beginning to sew two pieces of leather together. "I tried to push you and Zykariel away so that I didn't have to worry about this undefinable thing but that didn't work either. I only missed you so much that I physically felt it. Piper kept using pretty words and talking about feelings and I just scoffed. I'm not scoffing anymore." She grabbed a bowl and spooned some of the concoction she'd made into the middle of it, mashing it down and sewing it closed.

A slightly worried look at that. That incident had happened at least almost eight hundered years ago. Many of then hadn't even been born, but they all knew the story. Andal hadn't always been peaches and cream and Tyrrael would never leave her vulnerable as he had before. Turning to her husband, she rested her hands on his chest giving him that sympathetic look. Her Lateef did worry so much. "My dear...if a man truely loved his wife, he will listen to what she has to say despite all that he thinks he wishes to do. And a wise man, is only wise because he listens to the advice of others...Malik asking you perhaps shows that some. Though I do see your concern. But...stay your thoughts for a moment's more time...please, don't poison your own thoughts."

Malikhai beamed at Zykariel's explaination. "Yeah! We're learning the importance of...um...of keeping others safe from harm even if it means from themselves." Oh that sounded good. Very very good. Slipping down off the bed he toddled over to his father's side and pulled open the top drawer. "You're not allowed to go in the bottom drawers." Yes he knew that, kids weren't allowed in those ones for whatever reason. But he did find a link crystal. "I got one!" Toddling back over to his friend.

She watched the children in tired amused fashion. "Well...I suppose that that will count as a lesson. It is important to learn how to protect the ones you love." Though a pleased smile and a chuckle as her own son remembered to stay out of bottom drawers. At leat the boy was mindful of the important things.

How did he feel to know that she could see through his tough little facade? He wasn't quite sure...seeing as that meant she knew that he was vulnerable. And yet at the same time Sevilin didn't feel threatened knowing that little piece of information. Was nice to know someone had your back and wasn't going to stab you in it either. But he merely kept his position, blood red eyes staring at the wood of the table even as she set down the mug next to him...he was still composing himself at the moment.

But he listened her to continue on, ears twitching at her voice and her words. That was perhaps the most open that she had been to him....well ever. Emotionally speaking of course. As she sat down he righted his head some so that his chin rested on his arms now and her was looking at her, while also trying to keep that facade of no pain on his face. He couldn't believe what his ears were hearing...and if it didn't cause a flash of pain he would of smiled at her. "Revelation?" One word wasn't talking.

He covered her hands with his own and then pulled them up and bestowed upon them a kiss. "Ah my lovely wife, as always you speak of wisdom far beyond what I myself claim. When I am quick to panic you are steadfast and true. What would I do without you?" He kissed her hands again and then nodded solemnly. "I will take your advice but," he continued in that warning tone. "If I feel there is need to tell others of these events when we get back home, I will. Piper stays his hand or I reveal what I know. Agreed?"

It was very important indeed and he grinned at his friend when he found the stone. Though he couldn't help but frown for a moment. "Why can't you go in the bottom drawers?" His face cleared slightly and his voice dropped, "Is there bad stuff in there?" There were a few places in his house he wasn't allowed to go as well, like Daddy's training room and Mommy's shelves.

She gave him the smile he would have given her and chuckled softly. "I suppose you could say that. I think the biggest one was finding out that drow were capable of such things as positive feelings. My whole entire life, and granted that's not that long of a time, I've been told that I'm meant to be cruel and destroy instead of cultivate and care for. I had no choice and any attempt to create one would result in death. It should have occurred to me then that I truly did have a choice but they were trying to stifle it. It didn't. It took coming here and being able to use what I had taught myself and learned over the years for the greater good. You and Zykariel taught me how to love...and Piper showed me that I'd long ago fallen into it." She shook her head and took to sewing the pieces of leather closed then poking a hole in each side and threading a thong through. "I didn't even realize it but somehow and someway you found a way through the shields and defenses I had gathered and thrown up like a fortress. You managed to slip in and steal the heart you claimed I didn't even believe I had." She paused for a second, keeping her hands busy so she could finish what she needed to say.

"Khaiver brought it fully into perspective and while I don't condone him or his methods, I do have to admit his way worked wonders. I was forced into a situation where I had to make a choice. The choice may have defied you and Malik and everyone else but I did because I saw no other alternative. I couldn't stand by and let you be harmed and played with if I could stop it from happening. So I offered myself in your place." She slowly stood and picked up the poultice she had made, walking over to him and gently pushing his head back. Resting the leather over the jagged line of stitches, she carefully pressed down then looped the strings of the thong around his head and tied them into place. "It's not the best but it will do for now. That medicine needs to stay in place if any help is to come of it. It will seep through the leather and it will sting but it will also help numb and begin the rigorous healing process required for a cut like that." Her other hand rested lightly against his shoulder and she moved it up to cup his cheek, biting her lip to keep the memory of Khaiver's hands on her body at bay. "I put myself in your place, prepared to take whatever pain was meant for you and after Khaiver had once again brought me down from my high and mighty position and I was afraid I was going to die, there was only one thing I wanted to do and I was so afraid that I would never get to say goodbye. But more than that I...I wanted to tell you that...I love you."

"Women can see what men cannot and calm what they stir be it anger, fear, or worry." Giving him a smile, the one that a woman gave a man when she thought him being a tad silly or overdoing something...if anything to calm his worries. However, she gave him a nod and look of understanding. "Ageed. I don't think Malik that selfish of a man...the costs are great and most men are not foolish enough to pay such high prices."

He shrugs. "I don't know, just not allowed to. Mommy, why can't we?"

"You don't like us going through your play chest...it's kind of like that. You have your things and we have our things." Children asked the wrong questions sometimes. But she raised a hand, resting it on her forehead...oh she felt a headache coming on...this wasn't fun at all.

He listened to her as she continued on, no doubt his eyes flicking with an intrigued look, which was probably a nice change from the glassed over emotionless state they had been in. This...was not something Zahara did. Thus was her bearing herself to the world, all soft and fleshy with no armor to protect her...he knew that musn't be easy for her. It wasn't for any drow. And truth be told it was quite something that she admitted that she was fully willing to do somethign she didn't even need on her shoulders, for him no less.

Though it was a little off how she then interlaced medicine into the middle of that. Oh great...he almost had an Arthur looking going on there. He was sure that was going to make him cranky, but there wasn't much that he could do about that and well...Zahara had done it so she would know how to heal everything just so wouldn't she? He was going to have to live with this for quite a while. Though Sevilin was snapped from those thoughts as she touched a hand to his face, and said words that every drow either was afraid to admit, hear, or say. Even if he was allowed to talk, he was pretty sure that he would be speechless right now. But lack of communication had never been a problem for them, they exchanged much in just glances and sure enough, his eyes were telling her what she was should he hearing in her ears, as well as quelling any fear of rejection...and he forced what smile he could manage, though it was mixed with pain some. "Sweetheart..."

"I understand that all too well. Unfortunately a man bent on revenge for the harm caused to what he percieves as his family often does foolish things and is willing to pay high prices for their satisfaction. But, we shall wait and see, yes? Meanwhile, Malik has given me leave to explore and knowing your penchant for adventure, I'm inviting you to come along. Interested?"

"But you already know what's in there." Zykariel couldn't help but point out. Everyone knew what was in that play chest seeing as everyone had helped fill it up with Malikhai's toys. Though he did indeed nod. "Mommy and Daddy have those kinds of drawers too. Mommy's has health and Daddy's has...books I think?"

Everything had come down to this one moment and she was so terrified off that rejection, afraid she'd picked the wrong thing to say after doing something so unspeakable to him. At this point it no longer mattered. Even if he shut her out and refused to even look at her from now on, she'd never take the words back. They were engraved upon her soul and she knew without a shadow of a doubt that she'd love him for all of eternity. And she was rewarded for her trouble with a look that she would cherish for the rest of her life, a look that she would tuck away and hope to reverie so she could relive it again and again. That was love shining in his eyes, those same ruby depths that had never lied to her were gleaming like the gems they represented. There was the promise shining in those eyes, a promise of a perfect world and all the love and affection and comfort she could ever need. It devastated her to a level she had not previously encountered. "Gods Raven, I love you more than I could ever tell you and it scared me so much I didn't want to admit it. But the truth is, it doesn't matter what happens or who tries to harm us. We've got each other and our son and that's all we ever need. Everything that Piper ever said to me about love and commitment and wanting something so badly that you literally ache with it...it's all come to pass." She dropped her head so it rested against his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly. "I left you and all I felt was lost. But when I came back, I came back home. This is my home and this is the place where I belong, by your side forevermore." She wanted to kiss him but knew better so she settled for nuzzling his healthy cheek and pressing a kiss to the tip of his ear.

"I know I can be difficult and I know sometimes you get so angry with me because I try to overpower you or go against you because I think I know better. More often than not I do stupid things and get myself into impossible situations because I think I know it all and I can't promise that those times aren't still going to come. They probably will and you and I will fight and things will be pulled taut while tension rakes through the air. But I'm willing to try. Despite all of my shortcomings, despite the fact that everyone says drow can't make it together, I want to try. I want to be engaged and someday...I want to make it official. I want to be an Inthara by name and by blood through you. I wear your ring proudly, Sevilin, as a symbol that I...belong to you...body, heart, and soul."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:37 pm

She gave him a sly look, before placing her hands on her hips and giving a smirk. "An adventure on an empty stomach. You're not even going to feed me first? Shame on you, I shouldn't join you on that principle. Though maybe I'd be willing to reconsider if you took to a plan b? Hm, love?"

"Boys...don't make me answer questions. Piper is getting a headache." Rubbing at her temples lightly as she slipped down in bed again rather than sitting up, giving a few more coughs. Ugh, this was not fun at all. Why couldn't she just come home and have things be alright...not come home and feel like she'd been trampled repeatedly.

Happiness no longer there and he frowned at mommy looked bad again. Not a happy little elf at all, and he handed his friend the crystals in his hands. "How does your mommy make the hurt go away?"

And that all sounded wonderfully appealing to him. For once in thier entire time of knowing each other, it wasn't like banging his head against a wall with her. Or maybe it'd been banged so hard against that it finally gave in and was letting what was behind it be shown. It was not a bad look at all. Even talk of commitment on such levels wasn't looking too unappealing...it was impressive actually that such things were even on her mind...or that she would give herself a title of being claimed by anyone, let alone a man.

Easily he wrapped an arm around her to hold her close to him comfortably and let his brain function recover from the sudden steep drop it took from the light affection to his ear. Damn those ears...made him stupid. Though a chuckle rose from him as well on it all, seeing as she called herself difficult and such...she was cute and insightful at the same time wasn't she? Much so. Though he knew one thing...they would be discussing this on a much more responsive level on his part in a couple of days or so when his face wouldn't be as painful as it was now...but for now, simplicity was best. But he held up his hand, flashing his ring at her. "Each other." Oh Zykariel was going to squeal himself deaf. And Malik was going to explode from his ego boost over this.

"Well, in that case I suppose a plan b is called for, isn't it? Shall we begin our adventure in the kitchens then? Yes, I think that's a perfect place to start. Come, love, I have a hungry stomach to satisfy." He took her hand and looped it through his arm then led her down to the kitchen. "Malik claims Underdark food is very much like ours. I'm almost uncertain about putting him to the test but I suppose I have to eat at some point." A shake of his head. "Do tell them what you want to eat, love. I'll have whatever you are."

Zykariel frowned immediately when Piper gave off all the symptoms of not being happy. He glanced at his friend and then at Piper and then brightened. "Mommy gives out health and I know where it is and what color to use!" Thus he was off that bed in a flash and running into the room he shared with his parents. Digging through one of those bags he came up empty. But he knew of a special room too.

After a bit of questioning he finally got a serf who knew what he was talking about and found the proper potion. Racing back into the Piper's room he climbed back up onto the bed and handed it to her. "Here you go. Mommy always gives this to anyone who says they're head aches."

She just nodded, understanding exactly what he was saying with that simple gesture. It still amazed her how closely they were connected though now she was sure some sort of bond would need to form. He'd know far more on that respect than she did though. She took the hand that bore his ring and laced it through his then kissed their joined fingers. "Forever." She'd even be open to having another child, one that she could commune with and allow herself to love through the pregnancy and all. What had started through a cruel trick had turned out to be one of the greatest things in her life. For the first time ever, Zahara actually felt so filled with love that it was bubbling over and she felt tears p***k at her eyes once again though these weren't born of the emptiness and fear. She'd never believed Piper when she said it was possible to cry joyful tears. Looked like she was eating a lot of words that day, didn't it? She smiled to let him know all was well and laid her forehead against his, craving that contact. "We have to leave Zykariel at Malik's for a few days..."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 12:11 am

Malik was in his personal study downstairs, sitting in a chair and looking asleep. but he wasn't...he was deep in thought. vengence, vendettas, love, honor, loyalty. Piper had been taken from him, forced on a quest that in his opinion she had long ago been blackmailed into. She could have died, been lost to him forever. and now that she was home, he had to worry about Mahlari's chaindog. Her personal pet assassin that knew the location of his home. worry that one slight move, one insult taken wrong, might have that assassin trying his trade on his wife or son.

Which ment he wanted to do what any drow did. destroy the threat before it became dangerous. the easiest way was to make Mahlari not want to have anything to do with him through some form of threat or pain. But his discussion with Lateef proved otherwise informative. to harm Mahlari in any fashion on Andal was to invite the Brigade master to cut him off from Andal, to sever the family he had worked so hard to build. He would not see his son cut off from his family, nor his wife.

But that left him back at the problem at hand. to harm Mahlari and neutralize her threat he would risk destroying his family. to not hamr her risked his family by giving Mahlari an edge and knowledge with no recourse. His mind was trying to reconcile the two. how coudl he force Mahlari to leave him out of her thoughts and plans without risking his family.

And then there was the Inthra house. letting Khavier live to go back risked him letting them know for his own amusement that Sevilin was alive and well on this plane, and risked them coming to reclaim him. But killing him without provocation again as Lateef mentioned risked the retaliation of the Brigade. But Khavier wouldn't provoke him, he knew that.

With any luck his necromancer had done his job. he fully expected him not to return, but to cause enough pain and grief that Mahlari would hopefully not risk dealing with him again. But he couldn't rely on that, could he? Malik was not one to let such important things rest on mights and maybes of the actions of another.

He felt like a wolf trapped in a corner. one side was a cage and a leash. the other side was a spear and a beartrap. and cornered animals tended to lash out, it was only a matter of the form of thier inevitable reaction. Malik took to drumming his fingers on the table of his study, looking around at the books on the walls. Perhaps there was something he coudl do, something he could arrange to keep Mahlari's thoughts from him. something that wouldn't be tracable. Sevilin had managed to learn to be a master runemage under thier noses. perhaps something motivational could be slipped in that might make Mahlari more concerned with keeping order in her own realm than turning her attention to his.

But how to get it there in the first place. he couldn't do it himself, nor could any memeber of his family or House. No, the best way to send a message was through Khavier. if he was still on the plane. But how to send it.

And as if on cue, Broog lumbered up the basement stairs, carrying with him two elvish styled rapiers. of course broog also wanted to check on Piper. he loved piper dearly, she always had kind words and praise for him and his work. but he lumbered over to the Rainsongs first, and bowed his head a bit before presenting the finely made by Tremor and etched and jeweled by him rapiers.

"Da master says yous needs dis fer youses experations. Da master sasy yous can keeps dem if yous wants to."

Then a stare for a moment. before a lightbulb look.

"Oo. and da master says dat his plans are on da holds fer da moments and dat yous can stops being paranoods abouts it."

then a big nod, handing over the weapons and up the other set of stairs, peeking his head into Malik and Piper's bedroom.

"Mistress? is yous okies? can broog gets anytings fer yous?"

"You're a very perceptive man, did you know that?" Giving a giggle that she hid behind a hand as she always did, before allowing him to take hold of her and lead her back down halls and thus downstairs to fetch food. "Mmm...something that is going to get rid of this draggy feeling I have...how about some fruit. Always have been an easily pleased girl." Ah, that's where Isle got that from. Though a slight jump at Broog...seeing as well, ogres kinda intimidated her and it was carrying sharp things. But apparently...all was okay. Well...slow down heart rate and rising feral response, taking blades. "Um...thank you." A coy smile to Lateef. "You always did wear your concern on your face."

While Zykariel ran off, he went about refilling the glass of water for his mother, bringing it back to so so she could have something to wash out the taste of health. He usually drank milk to wash out the taste of stuff, but that was downstairs.

She didn't know how she felt about children bringing back colored liquids, but she knew from experience that he had indeed gotten the right one...after all, Zahara tended to her personally so she was privy to that kind of thing. "Thank you boys." Though she knew the other source of that discomfort in her head was probably down in his study, upset about something or other...she was behind on the information in the house and that wasn't fun. "A'mael...don't work too hard..." Because reprimanding him in any other manner other than calling it that would probably make him bristle. She knew what did after all. But then her attention turned upward as Broog of all things made an appearance. Then again, she supposed it wasn't a surprise, Broog always worried about her. "Hello Broog...I'm....well relatively fine." Couldn't upset the boys. A slight contemplative look. "How about you have some food sent up for me and the boys, yourself as well if you please. Hm?

Well...this was certinally going to be a change. Though as he had learned, change was good...though he still wasn't going to suscribe to the whole Silvercrest 'things change' mentality...yeah no. But his thoughts were on other more important people right now anyway and they were good there. This moment would be so much better if his face wasn't carved up on one side, but a little push back at her as she rested her head against his in affectionate gesture...before pulling back and taking hold of the mug of broth she'd made him and duely taking to drinking it. After all, she always did like it when he actually ate his food...or drank it in this case. Good will gesture. But a shake of his head. "No, I'm fine..." Injuries were easy to explain away anyway. Besides...that child had an unhealthy attachment to Khaiver.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 12:36 am

He chuckled, "I do try though I put that credit on you. Before I married you, I missed everything. It was disgusting." He too startled when Broog walked up, pulling Caprice against his side protectively. He relaxed when it became clear that Broog was not there to hurt them and he let Caprice take the weapons with a nod. "Give your master my thanks." He had to shake his head nad chuckle though, Malik had most likely been using that sword of his again. He wasn't sure how he felt about that seeing as how he'd been thinking rather naughty thoughts about his wife in there too.

Zykariel was all for that though he really wanted Piper to get better. Of course at the same time he scrunched up his little face and tried to think of what Mommy would say were she here. "Nothing heavy, Mr. Broog. Soup is good for her. Mommy says sick people can't have heavy stuff, it hurts them."

She wasn't thrilled about it but she understood his reasoning behind it. Besides, she was missing their little boy just as much as he was nad she knew Kariel wouldn't understand if she told him he was staying with Malikhai while she and Sevilin moved back home. That would only upset him and right now that was the last thing she wanted to do. Lifting her hand and petting it lightly through his hair, she stepped back as he took to drinking the mug she'd given him and she moved intot he kitchen cleaning up. "Do you want me to go get him then?"

Broog gave a big nod and plodded back downstairs, to the kitchen, and started piling stuff on trays. cookies, soup, leg of something or other. large and meaty, then something squeeled and boog picked up a underdark lobster with claws nearly as big has his fists, and gave a nod to the rainsongs on his way back up to the bedroom. meat and lobster for him, cookies and soup for everyone else, and he plopped himself on the floor, acting like the food tray.

Malik heard her in his mind, and shook his head lightly before getting himself up and moving upstairs and getting a glass of wine for himself. and look, he wasn't wearing Malvolence. probably another reason for his violent tendencies was the influence of the blade not being used and trying to get itself to be.

"Might I suggest the lobster. and the pasta. I made that myself, some of it is still left, might be easier on your stomachs."

"Well, a woman may not be able to change a man, but she can certinally cultivate a few new things within him as well as weed out a bit of those weeds that cause so much trouble." Giving another chuckle behind her hand before another jump and a look to Malik. Okay...everyone in the Depths needed to stop more or less sneaking up. Going to have a heart attack. But she leveled an amused gaze on Malik. "You made it yourself? That just sounds intriguing. After all, a man who looks well versed in his fair share of travels and adventure who can cook something other than easily portable food sounds like an adventure itself." Nudging Lateef with her elbow...Gods knew he had trouble cooking up anything extravagent.

Broog had always been a welcome sight, and he made an excellent jungle gym to play on really. A smile as the orge had gone off, only to come back with food...most importantly cookies...and he grabbed the tray of soup off the creature, setting on the edge of the bed near mommy, and he snagged cookies. "You see that mommy? He did it all in one trip and all by himself too!" Those kinds of things impressed.

Piper gave a chuckle that was followed by a cough. "Yes you two are doing a very good job of taking care of me." Wanted out of the bed badly, but knew even if she was allowed she wouldn't get very far before her legs betrayed her. At least it seemed Malik took a brake doing whatever it was he had been doing. "And you too Broog." Praise all around...and he would probably join in the guarding the boys were doing...he did that sometimes when he didn't see Malik around.

Well...he wanted to go with her. Besides, he hadn't exactly reported to Malik today that he had gotten everything up and runnning. He could make his way over there without too much problem, but then he would have to explain things. Could say he had his encounter with Khaiver, they had had thier scuffle and then things happened but hte point was Khaiver went back too. He had the feelign though that Zahara would fight him on that. "I need to report to Malik." A cringe at that sentence, seeing as more than one or two words tended to cause too much upset.

"I wasn't aware you cooked, Malik, but yes that does sound intriguing. And quite delicious. Good lobster is one of my favorite dishes in fact. The best comes from Selkor of course, but I'm sure yours is right up there with it." He lightly ran his hand along Caprice's side to calm her. "We'll have that then, come Caprice." Thus ordering the lobster and pasta from the serfs.

"Make sure you eat it all, Piper. Mommy doesn't like it when sick people don't eat." He gave a happy squeal at the presence of cookies and hurried over to get some as well. No milk but that was okay too. "Broog is good at stuff. He made Mommy and Daddy's rings real quick! Made them both happy too."

She frowned and started to shake her head. If he went to see Malik, questions would be asked and it wouldn't take much to pull the knowledge of what had happened right out of his mind. Malik always got irritated when she used violence and he didn't believe her explanations either. But then it was far better to just get it over with so she nodded. "Alright. I need to check on Piper anyway." If Malik got upset with her, she'd just explain it to him. "You don't think Zykariel will get too upset?" It didn't look quite as horrific with the poultice over it...
