Well, when you click on "Buy Now" in the Marketplace, if its a store item, it does list the store price on the page. But I'm sure a lot of people don't bother to pay attention.

yes, so really it's their own fault if they get ripped off, i regularly use the buy now to price check 3nodding

In my Anti-Inflation Guild, they're getting up a petition to ask the admins to post the weekly average prices on non-store items in the Market Place. It would show the lowest and highest prices for that week also. This would give people a basis for comparison on those items, similar to the Store Price on common items.
It might help, and it might not, but it's just possible that things like today's run-up on Dark Halos would be slowed down a bit.

when i checked that the link to sunny's shop was working i noticed that she's added a new dress to the edits cool looks like i shall be sending another order in on the morrow then, i have a lot of credit to spend with her blaugh

DG- That might help. You can check that kind of thing through tektek too. When you're using the dream avi creator there's a link where you can check the item's average proce over the last couple of weeks.

Yes, the Guild knows about the tektek average, but they thought it might help shoppers to have the info right there. Who knows? It might do as little good as the store price does, but it would be something in the right direction anyway.
Still, Gaia as a business benefits indirectly from inflation, so I guess there's not alot of incentive to stop it.
