Vae heard the most gentle footsteps as if they were banging drums outside the door. He opened the door and spun outside and threw the two blades at on person and made and ice riot shield and charged the second one bashing him in the face with the shield. He then followed through by grabbing the man's neck jumping up and slamming him down into the ground hard enough to crack the surrounding earth. The bark on one tree splinted off from the shock wave. He made the edges of the shield sharp and used it to removed the heads of the two people.

Nena stood quite, deciding wither or not to go check on Vae, so she stayed inside the tavern.

Vae left the shield there and took the weapons from them and turned them to stone. He threw them far into the forest a scream of pain was faint on the wind. He went back inside and closed the door. He went to Nena and just hugged her close.

Nena blinked but hug Vae back, she didn't know what just happened with Vae but he needed her at the moment.
