:::She nods at him:::
You understood correctly... but something changed, for me. The Captain... told me that they people of Omegatropolis were going to... well, I think they were about to kill me. He's the one who's made it so I can't go back anymore. For my own safety.

Captain?
*he takes a couple of steps towards her*
You mean there is a man who runs this place?
*his eyes lock on hers as he moves forward, stoping 10 paces away*
Where can I find this "Captain?" I would like to speak to him if he has anything to do with the way this place works.

He's my Captain... I mean to say. :::She scatches her head for a moment::: I'm sure that he's the most powerful person who appears here, but whether or not he controls this place I can't say. His name is Tavin. And I'm afraid whether or not you run into him is also up to the Brink.

Damn!
*he curses*... too many things left up to chance..... too many variables.. he didn't like it... but there was nothing for it by his reckoning... so he resigns himself*
Pardon my outburst, Ma'am. I would just like to make some sense of this place if its going to keep inturupting me. Now,
*He says, stepping back towards the door without turning.*
if you'll excuse me, I need to see a man about a horse.
*he places his key in the keyhole opens the door and is gone*

:::As he was leaving she wanted to ask if he was from Canada... all she knew about horses was that Canadian police officers rode them, according to Luke's friends. But as he was in a rush, she never got the chance:::
::She understood his frustration though. Wanting to know how in the world to control the world around her. Cora felt helpless most the time, and if anyone had any stock in finding out how the Brink worked, it was her. It made her want to go back to the library, but the thought alone made her body ache, as that's how she felt by the time she was out of the library again:::
:::She squashed the feeling though, and grabbed her wine, and a glass... then headed back to the library to see what she could find:::

Felicity fades in, at another table with five cards fanned out in her hand-- apparently in the middle of a game. She starts, noticing the sudden disappearence of her opponents, and looks around the room. It had been a few days since her introduction to the Brink, at least in her time, so she takes a moment to recognize it.
"Oh, hell." She puts her head on the table, not liking the fact that she'd been pulled out of a game and sent again to this... place. Wherever it was.
She looks up, sighing, and sets her cards down, seeing no point in keeping them hidden. The other players are nowhere in sight, and she could be here in a while.

:::A few minutes later, Kal appears standing near the bar, he's smiling and carrying on conversation when suddenly the lovely female participants are gone, and he becomes aware of his surroundings:::
:::His smile drops into something like a tired sigh, as he looks around. His brow perks up when he notices someone new, with her head draped on a table:::
Uhm- Hello?

She looks over, blinking at the unfamiliar person and his strange attire. She could vaguely remember how absurd some of the people she'd met here last time had looked, and that it had something to do with this place existing outside of time (or something like that), so she assumed that was the case here.
"Hello," she replies. "You're from the future, aren't you?"

Heh. :::He smirks and puts up his palms in a shrug:::
So you've been here before? :::But as he gets closer he notices that she looks a bit frazzled:::
Is everything... alright?

"Once, a few days ago. I'm still don't know what's going on." She sits up in the chair, shrugging. "I'm trying to just accept it, though."
She attempts a smile. "So, where're you from? Or rather, when?"

:::Well, at least she was in good spirits about it:::
:::Kal reaches out his hand, hoping that people in her time shook hands as greetings:::
Welcome to the Brink then. My name is Kal I come from... uhh- :::What was the AD version of his time?::: the 31st century.

Felicity shakes his hand slightly, still a bit unnerved by the whole situation. Seems nice, though.
"31st century?" She frowns thoughtfully. "There was someone else from there, I think. Don't remember who."

"Cora-- that's it. Now I remember." Felicity nods slightly. She looks around at the room for a short while.
"So... this is called the brink of time? How long's it been here? ... How long have you been here?" There were still a lot of questions she hadn't heard the answers to.

:::Kal chuckles at the comment. She obviously didn't have all her questions answered the first time, which was believable:::
Well, at least you met Cora your first time here and not Kara. How bout you come to the bar and I'll clear some things up over a drink?
