I don't think people ever really change... just the times they live in.... that forces people to react.. new situations cause new changes... there are a lot of rebel veterens out here cause they don't know how to live now that the war's over... same with the negro folk.... they don't know what to do with the freedom the've gotten... but they will adapt. that is the unchanging factore in humanity.

Felicity nods, listening to the conversation. She takes the cards from Cora with a 'you're welcome' nod and puts them back in her pocket.
She shrugs. "There're always the same types of people, but the world itself must be different. It certainly sounds different... No recreation at all? What do you do all day?"

Well, they focus on advancing the species through science and technology. Everything is based upon participating and adding your abilities into the greater advancement of civilization. So if you're not at your job, or not in school, or sleeping, or eating, you are most definately learning or developing something....
There's no such thing as fun. :::And she means it. Luke litereally had to teach her the meaning of the word:::

Any clue how that came about?
*as strange as all this seemed, Gunsinger was interested... things happen for a reason... so why would things change drastically in only a few hundred years...*
Or do they not tell you?

"Sounds strange..." Felicity mutters. She really wasn't sure if that was the right word for it, but she couldn't think of anything better.
"I never thought I'd say this, but I'd actually be glad not to live to see that.... No offense." She thought this future sounded bleak. The way Sato and Cora were describing it, it didn't seem very appealing at all.
She was actually looking forward to hearing how the future would come to be that way, but unfortunately didn't get to, fading out just after Gunsinger asked that question.

No... we... they pretty much told us everything. The earth changes, nature changes. The globe is a ball of sand and dessert, and if humans are to survive they must conform and focus all efforts into understanding how to advance through the age. Animals and plants are all gone, they synthesize food, just one kind of food, that only varies according to the one consuming to include the nutrients that particular body needs. They told us that physical human contact was the final cause of disease left, and so that was illiminated. Offspring and children are licensed to exist so that having progeny can be controled... it has to be, in order to keep from over population, and from exhausting the limited resources earth has left...

She talked of similer things... and that her people were at war... I rekon they they are at war with yours. *he starts makeing his way to the door, then stops.*
One more thing....

Kara's people fight against the people of Omegatropolis... the "Tropos" She calls them. But, I'm not one of them anymore. I haven't been for over a year now...

She does look a little like me... her chin, and her nose... I'd have trouble explaining it to you, but the number of people who have survived in the future is much smaller... we all look like each other, I suppose.
