My New Signature.
The Clothesmind
A flying clothesline from the left crystal arm that is either going to knock you the ******** out, or cut you in half. Tres's choice.

There really needs to be a good synonym for death...
"The Knight of Expiration" "The Veil-Crossed Knight" "Passed Away Knight" "Alack, I am slain Knight"
....
Just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Yeah. razz
Death Knight is old though. Really old. Like, back when it was new it was kind of by itself, so it wasn't so bad. Kind of like Mt. Doom in Lord of the Rings or a red dragon named Smog.
Death Knight is a title though. You generally don't have too many synonyms for titles or things like that. Say you take an automobile for instance, it can be a car or a truck, but those are different variations of the same thing. The car could be the death knight, and a truck could be a plague knight, or if you want to go in the direction of the evil paladin a Black Guard. They're all still knights, warriors, lords, etc, but they have individual types.
Distinguishing beyond "knight" usually comes down to what defines the knight beyond just being a knight. This is kind of glossed over in WoW because they need to let there be like 5 million DKs. Historically though, you could be a knight, but still have your own personal title referencing whatever area you oversee, some special station or accomplishment, or particularly noteworthy lineage. Instead of saying Deathknight or Atreya ( or w/e her name is ) every time you could reference something like "the baroness of death county". Just other supporting names/references fleshed out by her influence and interaction with the area around her.
A knight after all is more than just an educated swordsman. It's a political/social position as well as a combatant.

Well, I always saw her more as a knight in the sense of a champion, less so than the strict medieval definition, if only because she doesn't own any land or nobility.
She does technically serve a lord and a king, but even that is tenuous at best.
